Digital currency will never replace paper money cause of goverment politics in this case. They want to protect their currency and make more people use it and they will not let kill their currency.

I really believe that it depends on how our information security technologies will develop in the nearest future.
If blockchains will provide the acceptable level of confidence in digital money, that will work
otherwise, any promotion won't have any effect, 'coz people wouldn't invest any money, 'coz they will be afraid of fraud of any kind.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
For me, i think it is impossible. First of all, not all of the people in the world knew about the usage and capability of bitcoin. Also, not all the countries in the world supports the idea of bitcoin thats why they already banned it in their place. Digital currency will not ever replace fiat money because it cannot be use by all people. It can only replace paper money if all people in the world can have access to cryptocurrencies which is impossible.

One day, it will be real yes.

World will have only one currency and it will be digital money.
I do not think digital currencies can not replace paper money, the future of paper money will remain safe and will not be threatened because paper money is very easy to use in the transaction process by any circle, flexible and paper money can be used anywhere. and whenever we do not need to find a special outlet to use it. so until whenever the paper money will not be replaced. But there is still the possibility of paper money can be replaced with digital currency if all circles of society have been using increasingly sophisticated technology

Certainly, the “human” world is auto transitioning towards minimalism. Taking cash out or dealing with it is such an annoyance! Paper currency represents control in undeveloped countries, that’s the part of the world that requires this. It’s gonna happen soon.

Absolutely! That's one of the reasons I invest in a crypto world. But of course, it will still take a very long journey before it will happen.

This idea will be continuing to emerge as time goes by. In the long run, I think monetary notes/bills will still be utilized as compared to digital currency its because these money bills itself is in circulation and is continuously being produced depending on demand as compared to digital currency which depends on the total capitalization which is brought by investors.

As per my limited knowledge and research, I have a firm belief that eventually we are moving towards type one civilization, which emphasizes on global uniformity. As you can see English is becoming the global language, democracy is becoming the global form of government, etc. Eventually in the due course of time, say in 15-20years, I think there will be a global currency and cryptocurrency have all the merits of becoming global currency and therefore replacing paper money.

I don't think so. I think the system would stay this way even in the future wherein digital currency is being converted into real money. It can be hustle somehow but I think it would be better that way but who know, maybe in the near future, bitcoin will replace real money and will be used and patronized all over the world. We don't really know yet but let us just keep on investing on it.

I don't think it will happen anytime soon especially here in our country. People will always be skeptic about it.

Even though we cannot still predict what may happen in the future, I think there's a bit of a possibility that bitcoin will take over real money. People nowadays are very fond of making some things easier and they will surely patronize the use of bitcoin in the future since it brings great convenience with the way you hold your money. Many people are already using bitcoin as a mode of payment so that would make sense on what may happen in the future.

“Everyone Is A Bank”
I believe that this will necessarily happen, and we are already on the way to this. We constantly see news about places that take bitcoin. And although we will not spend crypto currency for a long time (after all, everyone now prefers not to earn), this is a big step forward for humanity.

While it looks like a utopia, a complete replacement of paper money by bitcoin will happen very soon. For all the shops, cafes, institutions, transportation, etc. will have to be made digital, so that they can take bitcoin. Also, it is necessary that all people are technically literate and have at least a smartphone, in order to use bitcoin. This is a very long process.

I think so too, this is the same as we choose a credit card rather than cash money. Even some parents in my environment who do not understand technology began to use credit cards. So it could be in the future cash money will be replaced with digital money.
Because as we know for now only a lot of people who prefer to use online shopping applications rather than physical stores. So the point is that modern humans now prefer things that are practical although sometimes it is not guaranteed security.

In my honest opinion, yes, but first the cryptocurrency must have its value be stabilied first or it won't be considered a real currency, We believe the revolutionary rise of bitcoin as a currency will be the stepping stone to the development and release of a digital currency that will replace conventional money and in turn become the first ever official global currency.

Yes.  But what that currency is, I have no idea.  Cryptocurrency is definitely the 1st step in finding a global currency.

Every payment with a credit card works digital.
There are already countries where 80% of all payments are made that way.
When you look at Sweden they have 95% of all transactions digital.
And the government ther is planing to have a society without paper money by the year 2030.
I am convinced that sooner or later all countries will follow the same path.
