To be honest, i don't think the banks will ever allow this to happen. The only way i see this happening is if the banks and governments control every bit of how digital currencies are run. we might have a future where we don't have paper money, but it won't be some utopian unregulated world. It'll probably be a digital currency that people who are already in power decide to use.

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
Why not? It actually depends on the people ,because if the people want it badly, the Government will give it to them. But the question is ,Do people really support digital currency or do they support fiat currency? If the people clearly want fiat to be there ,then the whole point is of no use.

stralian economics professor has predicted that electronic currency such as Bitcoin will replace paper cash within a decade. Others believe this prediction is unrealistic given the slow adoption of the digital currency. But, all sides agree that digital currency will have an influence on the fiat currency systems of the world.

If digital currency completely replaces paper money, it's hard to possible. because at least, all countries around the world must apply to the existing financial system. while not all countries have good quality IT standards. More likely cashless society than without paper money.

This is the real fact that we are going mostly with the technology and we can hse digital payment instead of the cash payment because everything is instant and easy to handle but still here some problems are in front of our present time because many people are from traditional villages and don't want accept payment in digital because of the complicated things to do for the payment ( according to them ) .
Well here if we can see next 10-20 years then surely we will see that people only will accept Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency because bitcoin is person to person transaction thing and it doesn't require any type of the talent to do like in the mobile banking system in the starting and also we have limitations in the banking system of sending money from different bank to different one , But here the bitcoin will solve the problem and everyone will accept Bitcoin only because of same bitcoin data from one account ro another with much better ease to handle.
But here may be the confirmation will be main factor for us for the bitcoin payment , may be we wilp needed another ways to make payment with BCH coin or we needed to make new experiment in bitcoin .

i think we can see digital currency maybe used in future as i am sure that in future the technology will be growth because people want instant and save. like today, we can see many people using credit card and they don't carrying much money and if crypto currency can be integrate with the money then we can used crypto currency.

I think that's impossible. Although with all the advantages possessed by bitcoin, conventional currency is still the best transaction tool today. Why ? Because the trust given to paper money is still large, and that's what can not get bitcoin.

Every single person in the world use their paper money every second/minute/hour etc. It is impossible to make real money disappear in a few years. Also, a lot of people don't even know what is crypto currency.
But, in the future, in next 20 or 50 years, real money will be replaced with some sort of digital currency.

To quote David Orrell from The Evolution of Money:

"The endless possibilities are being explored in fintech hubs around the world, from Sydney to Tel Aviv, from London's Silicon Roundabout to Zug's Crypto-Valley.
What will emerge from these financial laboratories remains to be seen, but the world of money is experiencing a greater wave of innovation than at any time since someone first transcribed an IOU onto a clay tablet."

Without physical money???  I wonder how the thieves will rob a convenience store.
Robber: "Hey, mister this is a holdup, send all your bitcoins to me, here is my bitcoin address."
Store cashier: " Okay, just don't point your laser gun at me. "
And how about a Wishing Well, what will be the design of a modern Wishing Well?
There is a possibility that we can live without the physical money.

I think a total replace not, because paper is paper Cheesy
But in the future i think digital currency will be come more and more popular
Now there are a lot of old people that dont know what is it digital currency, they prefer the paper
I don't think paper money will replace because for now there are still citizens not into use of digital currency. Even in the future paper money will still used. But somehow bitcoin will become popular and more users will add into the community.

No, digital money will never completely displace paper money. The banking system will not allow it to be destroyed, and paper money will always be kept for an emergency.

Yeah , i agtee with you because Here matter is really something much different , people in this world are increasing rapidly ( population ) , so with the increasing population we are seeing that jobs numbers getting down according to the increase in population percentage .
But here with the use of the bitcoin and another cryptocurrency they can make money like a full time job , because here unlimited numbers of the job opportunities are available to make work and get job to get paid .
Here personally i am a student but making earnings like a government job person or even more because everyone looking at my earnings and economical growth and they are attracting toward me and my job , that how i am making such a huge amount of earnings .
So i am 100% sure in the future most of the people will work in the cryptocurrency field like a full time job ,And with that popularity we will no need of fiat currency ( offline as well as in online ) .

Now has a lot of emerging payment media using virtual system, ranging from bank accounts, credit cards to paypal. And currently bitcoin is one part of the use of payments in the absence of physical form. Bitcoin is a form that is very popular today, because of the ease in making various transactions and easy to register into a plus point for bitcoin. So nowadays digital transactions are actually growing rapidly, maybe over the next decade there will be a significant change in the financial system in this world.

Maybe in the future. I doubt it will happen too soon because there so many disadvantage of digital currency than traditional currencies if you think.  Digital currency are relying on technology. If you have the technology, you can't use them since digital currencies needed the required technology in able to use. Unlike traditional currencies, it's easy to use and no additional fees when paying on something you buy. But who knows, technology never stops evolving. Maybe they will find a way to make the traditional currencies to something new.

The governments in EU have allready started to replace paper-money with digital money. Not blockchain technologies like we know them, but digital versions of paper money. Imagine that digital-paper-money are only a bunch of 01010101011110001000011 in a database somewhere without any proof of verification, and no protection against altering?? That's what they want to give us instead of paper-money.

This is exactly why blockchain technology will be the winner. Once the first bank has been hacked and money has been created out of thin air, people will flood into blockchain technology and the price will sky rocket.

I do not really understand about this, everyone knows that digital currency does have advantages but the problem here is some countries do not approve of the existence of digital currency
So my answer is still floating because of it, but I have hope that one day all countries move to digital currency.

I think that digital currency will replace paper currency. Maybe we move to cashless payments, but it will not be in the digital currency. It will be the local currency on Bank cards. The fate of Digital currency depends on us. We are able to use it regardless of the wishes of the government.
