It's an altcoin and consider as one of the top altcoin in the sea of altcoins but I don't think they are going to be on top of the industry,they are having hard time getting into the top 4 although the price is fast recovering but they have a very long way to get where Bitcoin has gone.
I don't own dogecoin I just want to hear opinions , we the rise of altcoins as we know not every Alt will succeeds definitely some will fail.

Well DOGE was meant to be a FUN MEME COIN to get more lay people into Crypto and it has achieved that. Now value wise, yes it can be pumped a bit but it won't reach it's former glory of a few hundred sats because now we have a plethora of coins and tokens coming into the market. It may still be a good coin to trade though and I click the odd DOGE Faucet and collect them for free, so that can't hurt.
it will all come down to the fact that Dogecoin doesn't offer anything special! it is a bad copy coin with the same code as other thousands or so coins and it was always supposed to be a joke.
i didn't know about what cryptohunter said about its infinite supply, that is silly in my opinion. and even if it did really have a cap, we already have a huge supply of 109 billion coins and that is enough to always push the coin down to 1 satoshi, 0.5 satoshi and final death.
it is the community that's keeping it alive so far.

This evaluation of DOGE is outdated. It is the community keeping the whole of crypto alive. The market has already decided that DOGE will not only survive but will also flourish as it doing right now.
You will wait forever for it's final death but never see it. 109 billion coins is nothing. As crypto grows it may not even be enough. Remember that these are global currencies.
A few weeks ago people were saying the exact same thing about LTC and now it's everyone's darling. You need to realign how you see this industry.

well i can't say i agree with you. because with your logic saying 109 billion coins is nothing then bitcoin which has 16.5 million coins currently available (0.015% of Doge) with a 21 mil cap should be worth something around $1,000,000 per coin!

No I dont think so, dogecoin still not in the top 10 coinmarket, but it sure get a good price rise this few weeks, but to become future of alt coin still need more than that, it need more investor and more implementation in site or business
the current situations was very different because when bitcoin price so high the majority altcoin also increase and doge also one of them but to became the future altcoin it took more prove indeed Doge has survive until several years but don't mean this coin will be the future of altcoin so it is too early call it

As far as I know Dogecoin haven't exceeded 100 satoshi yet because too much coin supply but keep alive till now because the low fees yet lack of development makes Dogecoin become stable coins, like you said we need an innovation for Dogecoin.
Doges developers are less and less involved. The coin was mostly used due to stable price, friendly and fun community (is smaller now) and still has room in people's heart.
But no, I don't see it skyrocketing. For that you need to be an innovative coin (smart contracts, crowfunding coin, private nontraceable coin, etc...) and/or push your coin here and there, marketing, etc... Also, there are too many dogecoins out there, usually larger the quantity less the price.

Dogecoin seems to have lost its way along the way because it remained in the shadows of bitcoins just as litecoin did not until
segwit but its surprising to see that Doge is among the top traded coins at the moment maybe it has a future after all...guess we need to buy some while

I don't think dogecoin is the future of altcoins because it has large of amount, it is like inflation coins
and i don't see the comunity of dogecoin (developers, investors, and all of them )

it is funny how each time there is a price rise in ANY ALTCOIN, people start talking about them in a manner as if they have solved all the problems they had and all the pump and dumps,... and they suddenly became good!
then when the unavoidable big dump comes, everyone starts desperately repeating the same things but to no effect.
then when price is properly dumped everyone becomes silent again until the next pump when the coins become "good and future of altcoin and replacing bitcoin" again!

All you haters just don't realize doge is going to the moon, it IS the future of altcoins.
Think of all the innovations it provides and all the things it does that no other coin can do or replicate. This is definitely the coin of the future.

The title should be one of the future of altcoins,they are still in contention and will always be one of the top coin in the industry because if what they've achieved,if litecoin is re inventing their coin why not dogecoin any update coming from their team will have an impact in the industry.
Doge is a great coin as it doesn't try and be anything other than what it is. Everyone runs around trying to guess the next big thing talking about stuff that doesn't matter. Investing in stuff they call "crypto currency" that's nothing more than an extension of (and will eventually get merged into) the current financial system. I just look at it this way. Look at the all time chart. Note that when you buy at less than around 40, you can double it pretty much each year. Almost like clockwork lol.

Its just a pump and dump coin. I don't buy this coin. Nothing is really special about this coin. I wonder why its still on Polo. It doesn't even move on the past few months. Now it pumps a bit. But still don't catch my interest. Future of altcoins? Oh, please. Theres a lot of altcoins out there which have very high potential than this coin.
I don't this it will be the future, it will eventually die out in like 10~ years or so.

Yes. This is a no-brainer.
I currently have over 100 million DOGE coins.

DOGE will be one of many cryptos that will be the future of alts, like it or not.
Litecoin was overshadowed by Bitcoin and it will be in the future too. Once Bitcoin will accept SegWit. I expect it to happen when people realize how good SegWit for LTC was.
Then the situation will be the same as before, traders and community will forget about LTC.
