Capitalism will never end. Until there many countries are in good relationship, capitalism is unstoppable. Cause a lot of people now investing money to build business in others countries. In this situation both capitalist and the country will have advantages. The capitalist will earn and the same time the country will have benefits such as taxes. In this situation, capitalism will never die. As long as they have good relationship with each other.

things like Bitcoin might make capitalism obsolete.

Bitcoin is about as capitalist as it gets.

Reading through your replies on this thread, I'm fairly certain you haven't the slightest idea what capitalism actually means. Your posts would all be far more accurate if you replaced each instance of capitalism with corporatism.

My mistake. I was thinking imperialism.    Cool

How the "Faux Dollar" Monkey-Hammered Capitalism

When we left you yesterday, we were carrying out exploratory surgery on the Frankenstein-like modern money system. Here is where the going gets tough. So many ugly organs… so much revolting internal plumbing. But let us cut to the heart –  pull it out – and have a closer look.

At the heart of any economy is money. Money is the measuring stick. It tells us what things are worth, how much we can afford to invest, what is worth doing and what is not.

Money – especially the rate of interest it earns – tells us when to expand and when to contract. It tells us when to work harder and when to ease off. It tells us which direction to go.

Money is not just something you use when you need to buy a pack of cigarettes. Money provides the key information that a free economy needs. Without honest money, we all might as well be a member of Congress or a Fed governor – hopelessly lost and misinformed. Well, in fact, we are.

In 1971, Nixon ended the direct convertibility of the U.S. dollar to gold. The post-1971 dollar looked for all the world like the pre-1971 dollar. But it was an imposter. A fraud. It no longer represented real wealth or real savings.

People
Cuba was country where people couldn't see advertisements, many on the web don't want to see advertisements now.
People massively download digital goods instead of buy
Piracy social movement that wants to share instead of buy
Bitcoin movement started

Corporations
Soviet spying became a business
Bankers don't go to jail if don't pay bills
TTIP

What are your thoughts?

i dont suppose that we are in the era when the capitalism comes to its end . On the other hand, capitalism is the most powerful of all times now. because chinese economy is evolving from socialist economy to capitalist economy rapidly.  i am sure that capitalism will be running the world for long years.

This time around, capitalism is built on a gigantic banking Ponzi. Study about how Ponzi's work - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme. They always fail. Because capitalism is based on this Ponzi, it will fail with a crash.

Let's hope that when capitalism comes down, there are enough pockets of knowledge that survive so that we don't fall back into primitive societies worse than the Dark Ages.

Because there were not advertisements in Cuba

I don't understand this point. Ads = capitalism? But why is Cuba then opening up there market for USA? Which is #1 in capitalism.

Why are you using Cuba as a point against capitalism? They just started opening up to the western world. In the next 5-10 years the country will change dramatically under the influence of capitalism.

These days capitalism is based on a debt-money Ponzi that operates worldwide. Done properly, it might last a thousand more years. But there are too many unwise fingers pulling big money strings... and there have been for several decades. Capitalism will flop shortly. And if modern technology doesn't fail along with it, things like Bitcoin might make capitalism obsolete.

Cool
Modern system would be better classified as Debtism instead of Capitalism?

Better classified as super capitalism. Why? Because the debt-money Ponzi sucks property from the people. Then when the super capitalists have clear title to all the property, they won't care about the people anymore.

TTIP is nothing new. There were already 20 years ago plans to break down borders and taxes to increase trade and profit. Same with Soviet spying, Americans are doing the exact same thing =)

Socialism doesn't work in the long run.

There are many different types of capitalism, but countries like China became more capitalistic as they became more powerful, so no - it is not going to end. Capitalism does need regulation as human nature will cause people to take advantage of others if they can and nobody wins if you are in a race to the bottom.
Very good insight

The day you know that youd rather be giving everything away than taking anything for yourself, youll know its the end. If that day ever comes.
I think people want to keep for themselves, but governments control the system.

We can say that Cuba is not proof that capitalism come to the end but opposite, that communist experiment collapsed.

Yes, Cuba demonstrated that. Western world is taking things from Cuba system: adblocking, filesharing and mass surveillance. How does this fit in an economic system with ownership  Huh

Cuba is not good example for end of capitalism.
Basically, they survived for a long time because of support from Soviet Union.
When USSR collapsed Cuba also almost collapsed economically.
They survived because they accepted some forms of capitalism like private ownership and small businesses.
We can say that Cuba is not proof that capitalism come to the end but opposite, that communist experiment collapsed.

It is not capitalism that is a problem here. As usual people are to blame. They can twist and taint every existing system: monarchy, communism, capitalism, democracy.
It doesn't matter if wrong people are in power. For example - if we are talking about free market economy them China illustrates this system better than current market situation in USA.

But it is usually an extremely small percentage of society. Consider...

You have a small group of people living off the land, with no formal government. They are probably family, or easily could be because of their internal group relationships.

When the group grows larger enough through having children, somebody in the group becomes a thief. Sooner or later he is caught and punished.

The thief becomes smarter, and gets together with other thieves and forms a "government." This is a government of thieves - strength in numbers.

The group of honest people need to form a government of their own to thwart the thieves. When they do, they start to realize the strength in government, but they don't see the flaw - that thieves can wiggle their way into the government and use it to enslave the whole group.

Common law is the law of the group while it still was small. Civil law is the law of the group when it becomes large and forms a government. In America, the people never gave themselves over to the authority of civil law. Not one living person is mentioned in the codes and statues.

The sin of the people is that they forgot that they still have common law that can override civil law. In America, this common law is built right into the formation of the Constitution, especially in Amendments 6, 7, 9, and 10. But it has its foundation in the Preamble to the Constitution.

Before civil law overruns everything, people who have common law as their foundation, need to adjust bad civil law, or eliminate it. Why? If they don't, they will become slaves to the people who run civil law.

Capitalism is an outgrowth of civil law.

I don't think it is the end of capitalism. Capitalism will always be there since a business can be a business no matter what the services they offer. Someone can even capitalize even if People massively download digital goods instead of buy and Piracy social movement that wants to share instead of buy are there and even if bitcoin is here they can still capitalize it in my opinion.

Its not the end but its the start instead. sharing is the start of how we could unite.
Things would have been different if rules had been in place before implementing internet really. but since we're now here, we should just live with it after all we like it this way. There's democrazy and freedom.
