I dont think so. If the government are trusting bitcoin, I think it will reduce corruption because they will have no reason to corrupt. They are corrupting because they need the money but if they have enough money, they will not get money from the taxes of the people. Corruption is nothing to do with the bitcoin. Corruption is really on the government. It is their nature to be corrupt not all but many of the government officials.

Somehow it will reduce because the status of income for some individuals will be improving. We never know some of these individuals are politicians. In this way they will no longer be tempted to corrupt. On the other hand, bitcoin may lead them or some people to do crimes.
Those that are corrupt individuals never have enough, they are greedy, if they could be satisfied they will not be corrupt in the first place so it is naive to think that just because bitcoin is going to give them a better quality of life they are going to stop stealing and doing bad things, in fact it is likely they are going to try to take advantage of the fact that no one can take bitcoin from them, that way even if they are caught, it is going to be impossible to recover that money.
The world is never going to be free from evil. Until there is virtue and goodness, this darkness and evilness is not going to perish away. Same is the case of corrupt and evil minded people. These are never ever going to stop depriving other people of their rights. Such people like and enjoy to make others suffer by stealing their money. Corruption is in their mind, it cannot be controlled with systems.

Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption?

It could be if every person is well educated enough about bitcoin. But first, bitcoin should be legalized. There will no longer corruption especially if every officials of the country will use wisely the bitcoin where they can earn much.

Reduce the corruptors, I see there are many opinions and their reason is quite logical. firstly can not because the bitcoin is anonymous if any can be traced using IP may be deployed by using fakeIP, but some say that we have to give moral lessons and heavy penalties to reduce the number of corruptors and I agree with this opinion.

Now that governments have a competitor in terms of currencies, do you think that they will make an effort to make the economic system more transparent or will they just try to ban everything?
in my own point of view, this will only increase the corruption because bitcoin os decentralized and anonymous (in some point)this will lead to the corrupt officials make theyre own move how to make money out of bitcoin and the whole crypto.as we know the corrupt will remain corrupt no matter what happens

Of course, the crypto currency has many advantages, in particular blockhain technology, which can positively influence the state system, but I think that those people who want to take a bribe - they will take it in any way.
Corruption has always been and it will exist with or without bitcoin. Bitcoin is just a tool for payment and there is nothing so different about it that when you are using normal currency as payment method, except that it is decentralized. Most people always get it all wrong, thinking this would have an effect either positively or negatively on an already corrupted system, but no, it won't.

Bitcoin- in bullish time
Now that governments have a competitor in terms of currencies, do you think that they will make an effort to make the economic system more transparent or will they just try to ban everything?
I think so, because as far as I know in crypto currencies world we can see a transaction history which is the best proof when that person are transfer the coin/token to an exchanges or in other wallet. Thats already transparency where I think if the governments prove this one there is not person who try or the government member who is trying to corrupt other money or the economy.
With the transparency of the cryptocurrencies using their blockchain explorers will be a good way to reduce the corruption because the government officials cannot lie about their transactions anymore because we can monitor and see if they are really talking the truth or not, i hope that in the future, governments will use cryptocurrencies in order to have a transparency for the citizen.

My thought is being divided. Yes, government cannot corrupt because our money was digitalized. We are not paying any taxes within it. However, government officials can use it to hide thier monies. It is intended for politicians to be transparent in terms of thier financial aspect. But by the help of it we cannot track and see how much they have. Government are tracking to tell where they get that money whether they corrupt it or from thier own business/savings.

Some leaders are open for transparency but the problem is majority are not open for this kind of thing like using blockchain or public ledger in government transactions like distribution of funds many will not agree Im sure there are so many corrupt government officials this days all over the world but if all government will use bitcoin or blockchain technology for sure it maybe a big help to eliminate corruption and have transparency.

Somehow, I think it can atleast reduce corruption. Corruption happens because the Gov't and the officials hold with their hands the money that was supposedly for the people under them, but they just kept those. Btc can reduce corruption since they won't have access to our profit anymore. They won't be able to stand in the way of our wealth.

I believe bitcoin is our future. But I believe the problem people who don't understand bitcoin have with the cryptocurrency is that bitcoin is likely to redefine some basic economic principles such as stability of fiat currency. The volatility makes people doubt the credibility of bitcoin but we when more people come to learn the real meaning of bitcoin it will definitely be our future.

Most of the officials in governments are mainly say the people who are one of the lead in corruptions. With the used of bitcoin it will lessen it .But somehow people now adays are greedy when it comes to the money .But if we live in a nice way and work without people who are affected maybe no one will experienced corruptions.

I don't think bitcoin would reduce corruption. It would actually increase the amount of corruption because it's anymous to pay someone to do something for you, unfairly. Right?

Then this claim is not valid.

To me, bitcoin will further increase corruption, because these transactions can not be traced from individual to individual.
This is not new, as it is the government's main issue why there is a bitcoin discourse that will be banned by the state.

I would very much like to have bitcoin or cryptos helping reduce corruption. This is a map of the most corrupt countries in 2017.
http://uk.businessinsider.com/map-of-worlds-most-corrupt-countries-2017-1

You can see how many of these countries have two characteristics:

a) Large percentage of unbanked population
b) Risk for business as well as for individuals.

The corruption itself cannot be addressed by means of a different currency, however it is possible that the population chooses to use a different coin, I am thinking of Nigeria, and with that contains the government lack of principles and mismanagement of the economic system.

I think that this is the key, decentralised coins are a competitor for the fiat money and they are going to play a big role in the future, because I think they will become more stable and make the governments think twice about creating valueless money.

it's the technology behind Bitcoin that can solve corruption problems in most countries. Being opensource and decentralized, it will be difficult to manipulate or steal govt funds.

I agree with it, but for that same reason, I doubt that any government is going to ever put their accounts into the chain, since they want all to be opaque and easy to manipulate.

I'm not convinced that Bitcoin can solve the problem of corruption. It's a problem deeply connected with the society and how it's functioning but the currency is actualy irrelevant.
Maybe cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin could weaken it a bit but only at the begininig, later the corrupted parts of society would adapt and no significant progress would be done.

It will totally decrease the corruption in the government but will also make a newborn corrupt group of people that is why we have a lot of scammer ICOs, spammer members, and phishing site. I called it corruption for as long as the is dishonesty corruption is present.
Government will not make a transparent way for their actions but will develop another way to continue their evil doings. I am this is near  from the truth because every time there is an evolution of change for goodness the evilness also find a way.
