Once you start to gamble, you will never forget the experience during the gambling session.
Nowadays, I don't like to bet too much as it is very easy to lose your bankroll if your betting amount is big.

Ever wanted to run your own casino? PM me for info
While browsing today I decided to check on different measures to limit gambling and here is what I stumbled upon:

http://www.gamblock.com/index.html

What does GamBlock® do?

GamBlock® blocks access to online gambling.
GamBlock® has been helping problem gamblers avoid the dangers of unrestricted gambling since 2000.
GamBlock® uses sophisticated analyses that block new gambling sites and software, unlike other programs that require constant updating of website lists, thus eliminating a potentially vulnerable time for users.
This sounds very good, but the problem is it for bitcoin or not? If they only block fiat gambling sites then its not really good for us. Another thing that is not blockable is the onchain games. You can't "block" addresses, and if you want to prevent sending to addresses you must lock your wallet or leave bitcoin forever. Also it costs 105$ which is very unappealing and unless you have a real problem its not really worth it IMO
If they don't block bitcoin gambling site, we just have to ask them to block all bitcoin gambling sites
And if you don't want gamble on onchain games, you better delete & forgot the addresses

But, i think $105 is useless to prevent gambling
It's better to use DNS which block gambling sites
With so many bitcoin gambling sites popping up and dropping I doubt they would put in the work to block them. There are probably hundreds, and if you find ONE new small one then you can gamble there without it being blocked. I think you just need to show self control and just think of how much you lost, that works for me.
Blocking would never work especially for bitcoin because of the anonymity and the globalization of it.

This is not a good way to deal with gambling issues. A better way is to simply withdraw your BTC into fiat and put it in the bank. Then if you want to gamble you can do it using the facuet .

Once you are addicted to gamble , you cant stop, if you win 1 btc in a day, you would want to double it to 2 btc on the next day, even if you are lucky enough to hit 2 btc, there will be a day where you will keep on doubling your btc but ended that you blast them all out

Gambling is not a problem, its an addiction, some times people withdraw money to the bank account, on the next day they double invest, because they have a new strategy and new innovative ideas to beat gambling sites...they loss the money regularly...

I don't think the ISP would have a happy reply to your email about internet gambling (I don't think they think its fully legal). But yes you can ask your ISP to block all gambling related to sites for you, and ask them to never re-enable them, you wont be able to just delete the block on your computer, its permanent.

its not on ISP. you can block sites on your local host if you want to keep away your self to visit such site Smiley

This seems risky to me. ISP's don't like online gambling.

I never said i dont agree with people playing dice. I just said that there is no skill involved in dice, and there is zero chance of being a longterm winner. Saying anything else would be a blatant lie. Every dice site out there points out their house edge (usually) - and there is no way that players can beat it (without hacking of finding exploits in the site itself).

Some people are just live in delusions that there is some 'system' that will allow them to beat that house edge and come out on top - nope.

There's only one thing you need to keep in mind while gambling : Cashiers always win!

Thats not always true as well. I dont even need to dig deep for the examples - there were cases of some bitcoin bookies who were forced to shutdown/run off with funds as a result of them suffering heavy losses.

From what i read i got you think that people who play dice are basically mindless retards which is not very nice is it, and you should not judge people who play a game that you dislike and advertise. No skill involved that is a surprise, i am aware. People play it because it is fast and easy not sure but they might even have fun.

I get some people believe that they can work out a system and 99% of them can't the house always wins long term i know this to well but just because we don't like it and understand enough about it we should ease up a bit by the way we talk about others who do like it.

op i don't have no gambling problem and i am pretty sure that blocking them yourself will never work and there are to many casino's to self exclude, just need to beat the addictions or lose everything.

Why are you playing the gamble ? If you want to profit consistently wrong place . Gambling should be played for fun purposes only . Also do not prevent himself a psychologist I would recommend it to appear .

Gambling also includes poker and sports betting, areas where you can have the edge by being better than the crowd, allowing yourself to become the longterm winner.

But mindless low-tier gambling (dice, roulette, etc) should just be played for fun (or for any other reasons that exclude aiming to be in the black)

I agree with you.

Sports betting can say a little more chance of winning . Casino and dice games are easier to damage than it played continuously . Sports betting can be less damaging because it is waiting for the conclusion of the match . There's only one thing you need to keep in mind while gambling : Cashiers always win!  Always need to act accordingly.

Dude you are advertising a dice site and you don't agree with people playing it Wink

I have to agree to an extent poker and sports betting is where i have the most fun because for starters i am playing with an against people. Live betting at the races is such a buz and an awesome day out but some like that some don't because they prefer something quick where they can feel the rush and either win a lot or lose a lot the thrill of the chase but each to their own.

I have no gambling problem op because i only play for fun or to socialize and that way even if you lose a few quid which of course i do you think hey it was a good day overall why let paper losses spoil the fun you had, i would hate to be alone losing for no good reason then i would confess to having a problem.
