The excitement of your first bull run and explore various strategies to maximize gains. Consider holding onto investments you believe in while also trading promising altcoins during their pumps. Be mindful of the eventual market correction when profit taking occurs. I think Bitcoin is a sound investment to hold because it could reach new record highs and because of the coming halving effect. Stay educated balance your portfolio and make informed decisions. While the market is in a bull market take advantage of growth opportunities.
It's very important to kow that making trades is encouraged during bullrun because the rise is certain and would have been attained while there will be high volatility, because the coin may tend to drop at any time if you're not selling during the bullrun season, so many people understand this logical explanation and they sell to buy again when there's more dip because it is believed that during the bullrun, there's much of the market price being highly volatile.
When you are on a bull run it is not that important if you are trading or not, because if you are holding that would make you rich as well. I personally do both, but it doesn't really have too much difference in result, I make money both ways when we are in the bull run. So, this is why it is quite important to remember that we could make a profit based on whatever we want, it is important to limit the losses during bear run, that's the key.

I try to do it as best as I can with DCA, but obviously it is just limited damage, I can't say that I have no loss at all. I managed to drop my average under 40k, near 30k levels right now, and that seems as good as it gets for the time being and I know that with the start of the bull run I am going to be in profit quickly.

During the bullrun season of course we just trade it because if you trade you can accumulate your favorite altcoins,
so that there are more of them and sell them when they reach a new all time high, but if we choose hodl, then our altcoins are just that.
if you accumulate these altcoins and increase the number of coins, your profit will be much more.
should also understand that accumulating around bullrun might be really bad idea, basically you gonna get higher entry price then anyone else and if you think things will just happen like what you already thought out it to be you might be highly mistaken.
after all, the market might be always showing good sign, bullish everywhere, but that most certainly not long lasting. it'd eventually stuck and getting down again.

I can feel the excitement from you OP. And just like you, I am as well super excited. But before that, we still have plenty of time to work harder and find other ways to earn more in order for us to invest and position more coins before the coming bull run.

If you have extra time, you can start studying trading. Otherwise, we can just hodl. And we have to take note that there are no perfect trades or investments. We just have to be happy and contented every time we feel the urge to sell our positions. If I am not busy next year, I will trade and hodl at the same time.

Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?

It totally depends on the person who is trading and how well  he knows the market. Holding during a bull run can be a very good strategy if you don't get stressed very easily. I am saying stress because, as you see the price go up,  it might stress you that the price may fall and you might lose the chance to make your profit. But if you have a profit goal, then yes, it is actually the best thing to do during a bull run. Only sell when you reach the goal. If you didn't wait for the next bull run. Trading altcoins during a bull run can be quite profitable  too if you know what you're doing. However, it's risky. Prices can go up and down a lot, and if you're not careful, you could end up selling too early or buying at a peak, and later having to sell it at a loss.

I'm not sure next year the market will be in a bull phase or not but a lot of people are leaning towards this possibility, in general sticking to the market for the long term makes me think any period return and risks involved. For me, there is no specific way to invest in this market, but my long-term desire and goal is to own more bitcoins, maybe at this stage I accept the risks of loss. related to altcoins for the opportunity to raise assets more quickly, the vision of the upcoming bull cycle may appear new trends about web3 or social network issues... However also Don't worry too much as the bull market will make investing easier than it is now.

In my opinion, you can do both: trade altcoins as well as hold. However, the crux of the matter is WHICH altcoin are you going to hold or trade? Determining the altcoin to trade or hold makes a lot of difference because scammers can still capitalize on the bull market to defraud people. If care is not taken, there could be rug pulls for new altcoins in particular. So as we anticipate the bull market, we plan/research on the best altcoin or altcoins to hold or trade. While I am not offering any investment advice, I think we should take a closer look at altcoins like Ethereum, among others that already have a good history, just my opinion. As in all investments, ensure you invest only what you can afford to loose and don't put all your eggs in one basket.

If I could earn more on trading while the market is having a bull run then I would gladly do it.
The problem with market movement is that it is hard to predict if it would continue to move up or down, that is why most of the traders who couldn't read or analyze the market tends to hold their coins.
I am not saying that those who are holding their coins doesn't know how to analyze or read but some of them do it because they couldn't make a choice since they don't know what would happen next.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
I don't like trading. I'm just an investor who likes to spend my money to buy and hold. But if the price of the altcoin I've been buying advances to a green indication then I'll sell some of it to make a small profit.
That is long term holding pattern. That is a fine method to trade as well. If you are willing to leave out the risk and keep it simple just buy at the low and sell when the green starts filling in. The wrong move newbies do here is buying at the high when the hype pumps the price too much. Avoid that and you should be fine doing this.

Some people prefer to do both, investing for the long term while also keeping some for short term trades. For those who have a demanding job and are unable to give time all day long term is the best option.

It doesn't matter if it was bull run or bear run. If my investment showing profits and if my inner person say sold it now thid is enough profits for you I will definitely sold and also I don't upset if it's tommorow hit another ATH. Because I learned the lesson from my past experience that is Never let your greed and lust to take over you.

Im holding most altcoins and waiting for the bull run specially that most of them are really that on sale specially on last 2 years as far as i remember where there prices are really that in the floor.
Those are the best time to accumulate because we do really have that 4 year cycle on this market on which lots of people been anticipating for that bull run which would happen
on next year. Doesnt matter whether you would really be storing Bitcoin or altcoins as long you could really be able to make benefits on long term then
that what really counts.

There are really those people who are really that skeptical on taking up some positions on the time that the market would really be having some correction. They dont really
see this as an opportunity to bag more because they are really that emotionally been affected. Well we are just humans on which there are really times
which we are really that in hindrance.

So, are you just sitting up and seeing your portfolios being destroyed by the bearish market? I think that you can choose it as your way but i don't even think if it's a good idea. You must think that if sometime it's really hurt to see your portfolios ruined by the bearish market.

This situation may differ. In other words, I keep some altcoins and exchange some of them because I don't think they will go any further. The best thing can be like this, set a target price for an altcoin you buy and sell it when it reaches that price. If it exceeds that price, don't think too much. Continue from another altcoin. So have a target and sell your coin when the price reaches that target. There is no end to waiting or getting coins. We can always buy and sell. Do not limit yourself when investing. Boundaries can be wrong sometimes. Decide your own strategy.
Buy Low and Sell High...and hold it between them.
Meaning, if we follow this simple strategy definitely, people are selling their coins during the bull season rather than holding and missing such an opportunity. And as I said, it was seldom seeing people to commit holding long-term without thinking about selling them when there is a great opportunity. Because for me, I should not but to sell them thinking it won't happen again too fast. Waiting for 4 years and did nothing when it comes but just holding, I couldn't imagine that, really.
that sounds like silliest idea honestly, with the fact that some people are willingly to hold their coin all the way through the bullish seasons it feels like they have no vision at all.
though if they truly wanna reach higher height of the price when they sell they could just did so by still selling the coin in bullish and accumulate in bearish along the way.
honestly such strategy is far better than just holding all the way up because along the way we could've been multiplied our investment by several hundred percents.

Participating in a bull run can be an exciting and potentially lucrative experience. However, it is important to approach it with caution and consider various factors before making any investment decisions. Personally, my opinion is to hold tokens to a profitable price, although it is not always profitable, it requires less effort than constant trading. I'm currently sticking to this strategy with BNB, NEAR and TFS, because I expect a good upside from these tokens in the future.
I appreciate your viewpoint on participating in a bull run and holding tokens for a profitable price. While constant trading can require a significant amount of effort, it's important to consider the potential risks and rewards associated with such a strategy. Your focus on BNB, NEAR, and TFS aligns with your expectations of future upside, and I respect your decision to stick to this strategy. It will be interesting to see how these tokens perform in the coming times.

Are we clinging to the halving, relishing in unjustified optimism? Likely! Crypto thrives on its tempestuous character.

But ask yourself. Are we victims of pessimism, fearing a global downfall? Or is this just a market self-correction, a bull rally breather?

Indeed, the market often defies the herd. But, strategic investments and diligent studies often bear dividends. We should prepare for downturns. But isnt it also essential to keep hope and exploit market opportunities?

To excel in the crypto universe, uncertainty must be our ally. After all, isnt it the volatility that makes Bitcoin so attractive?

Holding out for halvings or depending entirely on market declines to spark a bull run can be naive and risky. Instead of succumbing to overconfidence, it is vital to appreciate the value of critical thinking and smart investing techniques. Instead of succumbing to popular conceptions of unjustified optimism or excessive pessimism, it is best to approach the crypto market with caution.

If you hold altcoins that were bought for a long-term hold, then you should not sell them, regardless of where the market is moving. But if you know how to trade and know the levels at which you need to sell and then buy at a lower price, then you should use these skills to increase the profit or the number of coins in your portfolio.

Holding it for too long is very risky and you suggest not selling it? It's a shame if you hold without technical analysis there are even losses,
in the crypto market it's very difficult to hold during a bear market like this, rather than holding it's better to accumulate.
