If we feel that way, it means we’re enjoying what we’re doing. It’s true that we should only gamble what we can afford to lose, but if the amount is too small and it doesn’t excite us anymore, then there’s no real sense in gambling. We gamble because it’s part of our entertainment, and while we know there’s a risk of losing, with proper bankroll management and control of our emotions, it won’t frustrate us since we understand the risks from the start.

Gambling = entertainment, and winning is just a bonus.

TBH, I can't relate to what OP has shared since it's soccer and I'm not watching that sport, but I have an almost similar experience with basketball though.

As for my experience, there are no bets whatsoever. It's just we are excited to watch the whole Game 7 Finals game and we are on different sides. What's the atmosphere in our room while watching it? We are very noisy that our neighbors shouted at us. I mean if you're watching your favorite team playing in a Finals game and it's a close one, it really is very entertaining. Of course it's my story so my team won Tongue

, but my team really won and even though there's no bet, we've enjoyed watching it.

I would love to watch and bet with sports with somebody but unfortunately, there's nothing aside from me that's an avid fan of watching sports (particularly basketball).

I definitely feel more invested and interested in a game when there is some money on the line. It's a little bizarre but I guess part of human nature, we all want to reassurance or even pride from being able to predict more accurately than other people. There's also money riding on it, which could potentially mean an additional bonus paid out to you when the game is concluded. I've seen this same peaked interest in friends and think that the joy of winning still overcomes the small pang when you lose.

Ha, I and my friends do the same. Watching favorite teams in the pub we are betting on them and the winner pay the drinks ^{(probably in your case the payer is the looser but it doesn't matter).}. My winning friends never thought that it such a big deal to pay for others in the case they win. Betting on soccer matches, live in pubs and watching further developments is really exciting for me and my friends.

There's something about the excitement with betting and watching football games with friends, it's just inexplicable and it can lead to you out of much excitements with the friendly arguments gambling away more money than you will do ordinarily if you were doing it alone. This normally happens when we fail to control our emotions in the middle of the fun.

In my case our clique don't normally bet on each other but we just love raising the banter high against each other's club that are playing at that moment while we have some beers to the occasion. Most times I go home feeling so exhausted due to the whole wrangling of the day.

I literally don't watch matches that i stake a bet on because no matter how you try to control your emotions, you will still end up getting emotional because let's assume you placed team A to win and team B is pressuring team B and even making more attempts at the opponents keeper, each shot they strike will make your heart skip and you start breathing faster especially if you staked a huge bet on the game and I don't even advice people to watch matches they Stake a bet on. Betting among friends while watching live matches is very much allowed, it increases the excitement of the game. There's no much thrills if you're watching a match without anything at stake, you're not supporting a team and you're not betting either. It's fun when friends can argue during live matches without resulting to violence and betting among themselves with amounts that they can afford to loose. The loser can pay for something like drinks after the bet according to their agreements and everybody is happy. Where there'll be a problem is if the loser can not afford the bet or don't have money to buy drinks or whatever they bet on.

In the past, when I often hung out with my old friends, I also always made bets like that just to have fun and be able to tease friends who defended the team when they lost, this was really an extraordinary pleasure.
From what is the question for this context, watching football while betting is the happiest thing and of course there is sense of satisfaction or pride when the favorite team that competes can win and give me success in betting.
If only watch sports match without betting, then it can only provide feeling of joy towards the entertainment that is present in match, there is no thrilling adrenaline sensation if don't bet on the match we are watching.

Yes, watching a football match with friends is exciting but placing a bet is even more interesting and a memory to cherish. Simple things like drinks or beer shared among friends while screening at your favourite soccer really bring on the vibe and are moments that cannot be replaced .

This vibe and friendship stays genuine and pure if there's no hatred or anger among you. If someone is not too competitive to take their competition into a friendly game or a lighthearted jest, then it's just pure, laughter and friendship all the way.

For me, definitely, seeing a game with my friends and putting a one-dollar bet on it makes it super exciting. I wouldn't even want the evening to end because these are memories we cherish - memories of the moment and memories that keep us going, both as a circle of friends and casual gamblers.

But then it's easier to get excited and relax over a one-dollar bet than a hundred-dollar bill. Yep, I mean, you heart will race and soil if your team is not winning because a hundred dollars is a lot different from one dollar. Any form of bet is fun especially if you could able to watch the game with your friends. You would have a lot of discussion with that set up and the game would be more fun especially if your friends is happy to jive with and they don't have any toxic attitude which create trouble if favor doesn't come with them or they are losing.

Atmosphere towards watching is really different especially if there's amount at stake since you will get nervous especially the game is so intense and both teams have almost same score then the time is almost closing down to end the game.

with or without placing a bet, watching a soccer match with your friends brings with it a different form of joy and excitement. Most times, we do selections of games we're going to bet on at a particular instance and when you tell a friend not to include a particular team in his slip and he goes on to do so, it's always the case that he gets ridiculed in a funny way when the game cuts. If you're a fan of watching most of your games at a viewing centre you will notice the excitement that comes with it even when you're watching a game you've not gambled on. You know, there is way more to getting involved in football conversation and enjoying the kind of atmosphere that comes with it than just gambling.

Some people don't even gamble that much but when it comes to doing verbal speculation on what's going to be the outcome of a game, they're very good at it. They might not go to a physical gambling setting to place a bet or even gamble on a casino site. They just love enjoying the footbaling atmosphere at the moment and might just decide to gamble at that setting with a small amount so as to keep the vibes going.

I am more excited watching games with bets attached to them. As gamblers, we are used to expecting to get rewarded on our actions, When we are betting, we are excited on who will win and what will be the outcome.

It can still be a friendly bet, but the excitement is still there, When there's no bet, we are just half excited if our favorite team win, but if the competing teams are not our favorite teams without bets its like we are just watching and we don't care what will be the outcome.

It is always fun to watch football games with friends in a bar or betting shop. The atmosphere of analysis and argument makes it so entertaining that you wouldn't want to view games alone at home. Football is always fun with or without betting. But the fun of a live game will be complete if you win your bet. This is because, with the win, you can afford to pay for some bottles of drinks and go home with something.

Any sort of bet on any game makes it more interesting, but depending on the size of the bet would determine if my heart is racing while watching the game or not. You throw $1 on a game it's a whatever amount and unless I really like the team I bet on I am likely not too interested in the game. If you toss $1k on the game, no matter if I like the team I bet on or not, I will be 100% invested in every play of the game.

Entertainment value is priceless as far as placing any amount of wager on a game, the excitement level is there the heart pumping action is though.
