The price of the altcoins always depends on BTC, if BTC goes down, altcoins also suffer loses. Don't think that it also refers to ETH, very seldom altcoins depend on the ETH.

The price of altcoins depends on the cost of both btc and eth. The task of altcoins is to make it easier to get btc and eth. In the end, it all comes down to just one thing: sell altcoin for btc or eth.

the altcoins price depends on the bitcoin. u can draw conclusions from the encrypted historical data. ether also has an effect on encryption. but it is limited compared to bitcoin.

In my opinion i will say Yes and noboth beacause

Yes because the market that defines them, like you rightly say, is BTC or ETH based. Therefore, if in relative terms the altcoin is increasing faster than BTC, then you could view it as BTC is “losing.”

No because the fact that the altcoin is increasing relative to BTC doesn’t mean that BTC is losing value. It just means that the altcoin is going up faster than the base currency, BTC in this case.

Think about it this way. Suppose you buy Euros for USD. If Euros increase in value, it doesn’t mean the USD is losing. It just means that Euros relative to USD have gone up in value.
Before starting to invest in any cryptocurrency read and study about cryptocurrencies. In any case, do not invest more than you are willing to lose.

However, in the longer term, you can be positive that the price of both would increase. You can convert ETH to BTC from CoinSwitch at best rates.

I do not think that there is a connection between the price of Bitcoin and other crypto coins, the price depends on the state of the crypto market, and not on the value of Bitcoin and ethirium.

I think so, as we see when price Bitcoin or ethereum rises of course the altcoin will go up and vice versa if both of them go down altcoin will also go down, honestly I don't understand why the situation happened until now, I am also waiting for an explanation that can be understood from smart people

The price of every cryptocurrency depends on the price of bitcoin. And it is obvious, because Bitcoin is the king of this market.

I see all altcoins price's is depend on the prices of BTC and ETH. When the prices of BTC and ETH fall, the altcoin will also be the same. And I think the price of the altcoin is further down than BTC and ETH.

Why are obvious questions being born? Of course, this is the case, because the whole market depends on the prices of ETH and BTC, because it is traded today for these pairs and these projects are major in the cryptocurrency sector.

All altcoins depend on btc as well as ethereum.
From my point of view ethereum is under pressure of ICO guys selling their collections after token sale. That is insane
maybe for the market indeed the altcoin depends on the circumstances of bitcoin and ethereum. but in principle the altcoin should have the ability to grow their own prices. it depends on the use of platform and updates made.

If we look at the movement so far, it's true that the altcoin price is influenced by BTC and ETH in general. Naturally, because the two currencies are the most paired currencies.

There is the possibility that the price of altcoins is depend on bitcoin and ethereum, in the end of year of 2017 when the bitcoin goes up at almost $20k most of the altcoins also starting to high their prices in the market.
many say as you say, it's clearer I don't understand and maybe that can affect the value of Altcoin and Bitcoin.
maybe one that can affect the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin may depend on the number of requests on the market and maybe that is one that can affect its value.

in the market the value often goes up and down and that is something that is commonly experienced in the market because of the many requests that often change every day.

Even now after all this time and long bear market alts are still heavily dependent on BTC price. I don't think ETH price has a major correlation with them, maybe ERC-20 tokens I don't know for sure as I haven't made my research on this. I expect that once we enter the bull market solid cryptocurrencies like STRAT, MOBU and especially STOs will set apart from BTC price and sky rocket much faster. Smiley

Yes and of course, and specially depended on BTC price since ETH is also being trade with BTC. If BTC price decreases, altcoin also follow the same, if BTC price increase, altcoin also increase.

So far, I see the crypto currency market is strongly influenced by the price movements of Bitcoin, when the surge in the increase in Bitcoin prices occurred in 2017, almost all existing coins also rose in price, and now when the Bitcoin price falls, almost all coins are come down in price.

I dont think so. The recent pumps on LTC makes the market goin' green, all of them. So i think every top coins pump in like 10% and above, it would make more pumps on another altcoin.
its give confidence to another coins traders.if altcoin price could jump , maybe it will followed by another altcoin.they think this is the moment for altcoin recovery.
