OP do you live in Brazil? As far as I know, in Brazil the level of adoption of cryptocurrencies is very high and the majority of the Brazilian population undoubtedly knows bitcoin and I imagine that there must be many places in Brazil that accept bitcoin as a method of payment, there are:

- Wayne Tattoo
- Tecnisa
- PreVet Home
- Nobile Plaza Hotel
- JS Hostel
- João Bosco & Vinícius

there are several places in Brazil that accept bitcoin as a payment method, places exist because there is a demand for people from Brazil who have bitcoin and want make payments using bitcoin

it would be great if you could pay anything with crypto, in my country crypto payments are prohibited, even though for some people who don't have a credit card payment using crypto is very helpful

I would like to know if anyone here uses cryptocurrencies to buy assets and services, I would also like to know if most companies accept crypto you would buy and why not buy such a service.Would they buy food in crypto?

Using cryptocurrencies on a daily basis is not easy. When it comes to paying with them, I do it mainly by buying services over the Internet. However, we can say that I pay with them every day because I use the Coinbase card. It is a VISA card, but I keep all funds in cryptocurrencies, and when paying with the card, they are automatically converted into a currency that is acceptable in the place where I actually am.

In my country, there isn't any company that is currently accepting bitcoin to buy assets and food. It varies from country to country and its policy.
To my knowledge, there aren't any companies yet that are accepting bitcoin for aforesaid purposes. However, you can search from google for more.
If you found anything related to this. Kindly must share it on this forum.

Not very marketplace accepts Bitcoin, thats obvious but where possible I try
to use Bitcoin, for example my website domain and website hosting is paid for
with Bitcoin. My email is also paid for with Bitcoin.

Orangewebsite.com
Hostinger.com
Protonmail.com

Given the chance I would pay for more services with Bitcoin but I would be
mindful of not spending it all.

I do not know if this fits your question, but I pay in crypto for almost everything that can be paid with a VISA card. I use VISA Coinbase card which automatically converts crypto and I can pay with it wherever VISA is accepted, so almost for anything and everywhere in the world.

I would indeed, point is that merchants dont accept crypto directly for payments, but I can use Gift Cards to buy goods and services that I need. It is a longer process, to fund the site where I buy the card and then redeem the card on the merchant site. I would defenitely look forward to directly paying the merchant in crypto in future as acceptance increases.

For Brazil locals, you can use Bitrefill, this is where I get my gift cards from. https://www.bitrefill.com/buy/brazil/?hl=en

After all, the number of companies accepting cryptocurrencies is growing all the time, so it is clear that the demand for this type of payment is also there.

I don't remember if bought food for crypto yet, but I paid for alcohol in a bar, bought domains and paid for topping up my phone.

If I had the option to pay in crypto for other services or products, I would definitely be doing it.

When ever im buying something from a website thats not hosted in the U.S, I usually use crypto to pay, because I am not giving a weird marketplace website my card info.

..there is already a card machine that accepts payment in bitcoin and a bank that gives cashback for purchases in bitcoin.
That's Bitcoin ATM machines which are very common now, it's easy to buy/sell Bitcoin using that machine.  If there's a bank that supported Bitcoin in your place which means the government isn't against Bitcoin or in crypto in general, to use as a payment system in any legal business.  You're lucky enough for this.

It's been challenging for someone who will adopt cryptocurrency as payment, you need to have a patient first before people in your place understand how this crypto will work.  And I think, there's nothing wrong with your business plan, just try and go ahead.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom

I certainly would buy food or just about anything if there were so many merchants in my local area accepting crypto payments. Right now I most use crypto to make online purchases, subscriptions and refills plus.

Most people in the communities still don't know the advantages of crypto and when you talk to them about Bitcoin, the first thing that they will think is that it's scam. So there's still some negative attitude towards cryptocurrencies in general.

I liked your answers, thank you, I live in Brazil, the acceptance is low, but we have advanced in the market, there is already a card machine that accepts payment in bitcoin and a bank that gives cashback for purchases in bitcoin. Per hour. I'm asking the community this question because I've developed a system that accepts the payment of 200 cryptocurrencies as it settles on time and pays for the goods in the local currency. I am creating my company in europe to be able to supply the system + goods and services

If you asked this to know the opinions about developing your project then you are supposed to be in the project development sections where you may get the ideas about further development anyways bitcoin and cryptos are actually used as payments as well on various ways as their country allows them to do.

Yes, I often buy goods, but I always pay attention to the state where the seller is located. It should be in Europe to avoid fraud.
I'm going to buy a Garmin smartwatch for bitcoin at https://watches.uhrzeit.org/watches/Garmin/Fenix-collection/Fenix-6-Sapphire-Titanium-010-02158-23.php this weekend because they have great discounts for the time change.

Nice to hear that meaning the crypto adoption in your country is so great and hopefully all merchants in the world will do this also since in my country its so hard to find a merchant which directly accept crypto, if there it is the place is so far and I cannot able to reach them up immediately if I need something to them. But for services mostly I used this especially paying on some sort of service I want online since there are freelancers already accept bitcoin and USDT as payment method.

Depends on which country you are in since if you live in El Salvador for sure bitcoin is accepted on many offline merchant there but for others like in my country sad to say no we need to exchange our crypto to buy something goods or other types of services since bitcoin or crypto is not yet been adopted nor look at as a good option by merchants. But maybe in future we can see this and we can use it directly since for sure what other country do on adopting bitcoin will be surely the basis of others to adopt it.

Hi friend, I'm a new user of the forum, I tried to search about this subject and didn't find it, could you help me and provide me with the data?
As for the issues addressed by you, I think exactly, the conversion rate and the way the financial system would deal is a case to be thought, especially the security part and the fees charged by card brands and administrators/banks. I would like to address this issue better in the community

I've picked some rather recent topics I find relevant for this subject:

Fees and conversion rates: Helping Businesses Take Crypto Payments. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
Security and privacy: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless and Privacy vs. anonymity
Spending the coins: Shall We Hold Our Bitcoin Like Gollum? or Best thing you bought with Bitcoin? ... here there's no "best" since this topic pops up every now and then, especially in Bitcoin Discussion, maybe Beginners and Help too.

This was asked and answered in various ways, maybe more than 100 of times, why don't you just search?

Investments are not meant to be held forever, people - sooner or later - will use them. Then some are already paid in crypto. Crypto is a form of money. People do spend crypto.

The problem is that some of the (too few) payment processors nowadays make it pretty much overpriced to spend crypto directly (service fees, bad conversion rates), but I don't see why people would not buy with crypto absolutely all that's being sold, including food. LN may need to start being used by payment processors though, to make this also work in the supermarket (to not wait for on-chain block confirmation times).
