Critics? No.
FUDsters? Yes.

Majority of those who may look like simple "critics" of Bitcoin, are not critics at all. They are corrupt people who saw their own thing threatened and decided to spread some FUD about bitcoin. They will not change, ever. Like the CEO of one of the most corrupt banking cartel named JP Morgan who called Bitcoin "fraud" while one of their companies was buying bitcoin during the crash at the time.

To me, Bitcoin Fur isn't even FUDS anymore, I take every Fudsters as Bitcoin buyers, they are looking for opportunities to buy is why they are using FUD, unfortunately for them FUD on Bitcoin isn't that effective anymore unlike 2018 days.

JP Morgan exposure to Bitcoin was way earlier than MicroStrategy, they would have been one of the most successful today if they did what MicroStrategy is doing now, I believe they had the chance to buy lower and now worth Billions of dollars, even while they are buying it was not as big as What others are buying today, I guess there was a part of them who still doubts Bitcoin.

What a shame.

We have seen several instances of people criticizing bitcoin publicly with some saying it was never to be trusted and others saying it was going to zero. The list of these people is long with Nassim Taleb the "black swan" man and Janet Yellen as two of the notable critics. For those that want to know some of them and what they have said about bitcoin, Red Bull website gave a short list of some of them.

My concern is that I have not seen some of the vocal fud spreaders coming out public to apologize or at least express their change of mind after they might have seen that bitcoin is never what they thought. So, does it mean these critics never ever changes their mind? Can we say that those who think that bitcoin price will get to zero still believe till now that it will happen even after seeing that bitcoin is soaring at six figures?

Please if you know anywhere these critics tender public apology or at least express a change of opinion, kindly point me to such material.

Why should we even care about Bitcoin/crypto critics apologizing? They have their own opinions and that's fine.
Some people are going to change their opinions about Bitcoin, while others won't. The belief that the BTC price will go down to zero at some point in the future will remain forever. The question is when will BTC become worthless and useless. After 20 years or after 100 years?
I highly doubt that there are delusional people, who think that Bitcoin would continue to exist forever. Everything in this universe has a beginning and an end. We don't know when and how Bitcoin will end it's existence.
Would say on the same thing on which they havent done something on which they will really be needing to apologize. We are all speculators here on this market and we can say on whatever we want. Its neither be positive or negative then each one of us will really be having their own views and perspective towards Bitcoin. For those who are critics then it will really be just that depending on them whether they will become that supporters if ever they do get convinced on the potential of Bitcoin specially now that it do able to create new all time highs. We do know that it cant be called a market if we dont have those bashers or negative thinkers and the worst is into those who do love to make FUD. This isnt really that new anymore on which this market will really be having those set of critics and to those who do love on trying out to make up some fud just because they do just simply hate it.

But a large part of critics will not publicly make up their mind about Bitcoin either because it takes a big hit to the stomach to publicly confess that you were stupid and wrong.  And ego plays too much of a role for many of the critics.  They are too vulnerable and little in their own mind to ever admit their constantly repeated words about Bitcoin being a Scam were a big Bull Shit all along.

Their pride in the past will kill their future gains.
It would be their loss, so no matter what, at least we understand that they would be wrong in the long run.

The answer for the title made by op is NO! We have seen many like that before, just like other countries that banned Bitcoin before but later they also revoked it and the best thing about it is that they have even adapted the concept and features of Bitcoin until now.

Then it's just like politics where your former enemy politician can become your ally, and your ally now can become your enemy later because he is your opponent in politics,
the same goes for this field industry.
Critics can come and go. As for the old critic, it may be possible for them to be talked about again. Critic is like a light talk only or a rumour and it is different from those countries that banned BTC for real. It might still start as a critic though before things get serious but that does not matter anymore. What is only important now, is that a lot of countries that banned BTC before, are now allowing it again. We can only hope that another critic won't start which can lead for them to ban BTC again. I can say this, because I think there are some countries that went on that confusing phase/state. I can only wish that they will find their peace soon (preferably just adopt BTC forever).

Govs will probably keep banning and unbanning it, until they realize in full what they lost by skirmishing with it like that.
By that time it would be pretty late for the party, but it still would be a welcomed development from them.

There are people who think Bitcoin will continue to exist, and I am one of them.  Not FOREVER though, that is stupid.  Maybe.  Or maybe not.  Every thing is likely if we think centuries.

But maybe Bitcoin is actually going to truly revolutionize Fiat and become the base Currency for many centuries.  There are things that we are using and doing every day that started hundreds of years ago.

What you see as delusional may be a possible thing to me or others.

The most important thing is that we understand why BTC has its potential in the centuries to come.
And nobody denies its bright future for at least these decades or centuries.
A person can't look into the future, it's foggy the more time is passed speculating on the further points in time.

Are we going to be bothered forever over the critics opinion? Is their public apology necessary? Will Bitcoin fail without their apology? As long as the answer to these questions is NO, there's no essence anticipating their apology.

I think the more we discuss about them, the more public attention they get. Bitcoin is proving them wrong on whatever they choose to believe year in year out. Some critics don't want to take back their words due to pride or probably still belief their expectation will come to reality. The important thing is that while they keep on criticising, we keep making benefit.

Yeah, I agree.
Of course, it's good to have a laugh here and there, but most of the time, they search this kind of attention.
That's their bread and butter. They want to be heard.
Better to just leave them as they are.

Public figures or critics will never publicly admit that they are wrong lest they just make a fool out of themselves. The ones I have seen acknowledge the fact that their predictions are wrong, still stand by their opinions and have no plans on buying any bitcoin. Or so they say. It’s embarrassing to be so wrong about something and if they want to keep their credibility and reputation, they will never walk in front and say that they got it wrong with bitcoin.

Rick Wurster, the incoming CEO of Charles Schwab, said that he feels silly for not buying bitcoin earlier. Afaik, he never criticized bitcoin back then but surely he didn’t believe in it either and he now feels a bit regretful of not doing so.

Financial Times criticized bitcoin before saying that it was inconvenient and just relied on hype. They acknowledged the rise of bitcoin at a recent “applogy” for holders that they posted. Their opinion doesn’t change but the apology is more for the holders who lost an opportunity because of them.

I quite agree with what @Pooya87 said because most of those who act as noisemakers in order to devalue bitcoin in the past were literally doing it on purpose because some of those critics actually saw the credibility of bitcoin but were actually trying to cause confusion among bitcoin investors so that they can sell their bitcoins and the price drops then from there, they take advantage of it and buy bitcoins at DIP prices. We should understand that not everyone who came open to condemn bitcoin are actually critics. Some did it on purpose to take advantage of market conditions. And just like Pooya87 said, some of their motives was to cause fear, uncertainty and doubt among investors while they themselves already has stash of bitcoins in their portfolios.

I think it is needless to ask for list of bitcoin critics in the past, Perhaps they are seeing the growth in bitcoin now so they will be very shameful and afraid to even say anything concerning bitcoin in public again and i can tell you that some of them are secretly holding bitcoins.

Critics? No.
FUDsters? Yes.

Critics can have a change in their opinions, but they probably don't consider it important to express it publicly rather they would keep their changed opinion to themselves and will sometimes continue showing negativity in front of the public but have their opinion changed. Who knows? Those who criticize Bitcoin might have always been hoarding Bitcoins in the back, but the public never knew about it because it's easy for someone to buy and store Bitcoin without letting anyone know, that's the beauty of this technology.

I wouldn't believe it if someone told me that these critics have never bought or even thought of buying Bitcoin because for people who dislike something, they would prefer ignoring it and spending their time on things that they consider of being more valuable and worthy of their attention. So if someone is paying so much attention to something, it means they are somehow attracted to it, and an attraction cannot be negative though it can be demonstrated that way.

I haven't seen any of these critics apologies publicly. I'm not even sure if it will be that easy for someone who have make some criticism statements to apologize publicly. Only few that's got the guts can do that without shame.

I personally don't even pay much attention to these critics because I believe that some of them are looking for ways to prevent people from associating with Bitcoin, while they themselves are investing heavily. I just have this strong feeling that some of these critics (if not most of them), have sidelined some Bitcoin for themselves, but choose to continue criticizing because of the shame that will come after admitting their mistakes.

It's just their strategy I guess, because no person on his/her right state of mind, will see Bitcoin rise from 0 to $100K, and still see or think otherwise.

There are two kinds of critics to me: those that can change and those that will never change but will continue to find new reasons to criticize. For the category of critics that can change their opinions, it is not everyone of them that will be mature enough to publicly apologize too as they publicly criticised bitcoins because that requires a level of maturity; some will just have a change of opinion and abandon their criticism. It would have been actually very good if every popular critic of bitcoin could issue a public apology, because that would help some of the people who see them as mentors and have adopted their opinions of bitcoins to know that the opinions they adopted from their mentors were wrong; it would help them change.

The secret change of opinion from a critic without public apology is not helping some of the people who have adopted their opinions know of the change. As a result, some of them can keep holding on blindly to these opinions.

It all depends there’s going to be plenty of people like a Warren Buffett, who will always be skeptics because they are dinosaurs who are unwilling to even educate themselves enough to fully understand how bitcoin works. For some people and Andreas says his best. It goes against the norm and that that’s enough to make them a skeptic for the rest of their lives no matter what it said or what they learn

Hmm, it's strange but I still can't believe what's happening in the world now. Bitcoin ETF is attracting more and more money and in new terminologies Bitcoin is called digital gold at the legislative level in the USA! And it's incredible. Trump said that he will save the US economy through Bitcoin, so we can really boldly say that Bitcoin can save the world from economic troubles. What we didn't dream of yesterday has become a reality today.

Pride is a big issue for many people. Some individuals are readily to criticize something in public, but when it comes to apologizing or changing their previously held stance about something, their pride often holds them back.

This scenario is evident among those who once criticized Bitcoin. It can be challenging for them to admit they were all wrong in their negative assessment of Bitcoin. Instead of openly apologizing, they may gradually soften their stance or acknowledge Bitcoin's potential over time. However, openly apologizing for their previous position on Bitcoin seems unlikely for them to do. By the way who cares about their apologies? No one.

BTC is there to stay whether they like it or not.
And I love that about btc. It's not bound to the views of such people, big or small.
Because in the end - much of the space around it believes in it and its credibility.
We all know that bitcoin has come to stay and nobody can stop it again and everything is working fine. And those critics will only criticize and get tired because they can't do anything about the progress of bitcoin. And when bitcoin will  be getting higher and higher every year. And once the adoption rate is higher than the present adoption, then many of those critics will also join the investment. One of the best thing about bitcoin is the decentralized system in which third party can't control your bitcoin so their criticism end within them and has no effect in the public because upon all their criticism every day. Bitcoin adoption is on the high.
