Of course it can, after all it was originally intended to be the official currency of the internet. However, you have to use software such as bitpay in order to make use of bitcoins in transactions, otherwise it might endager all your coins. We have been okay with Paypal so we too must ve fine with using Bitpay since it is just like that but only for bitcoins.

It depends on the seller, sometimes it is not possible and if it is possible the transaction fee is too high. I hope someday the online shops will allow bitcoin as a direct payment with low transaction fee.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency in itself and needs Internet connection to trade. It is very suitable for online transactions, but the anonymity of bitcoin can easily damage the interests of our consumers or sellers. For example, the receipt is not paid to the seller or the buyer Home payment but no receipt, which can not be tracked, this is difficult to solve the problem.

As bitcoin enlarging the area of its domain, the payment of bitcoin online shopping is very easy to do. Actually this is happening now is some countries. Btc can be able to pay in transaction if there's no cash. Bitcoin can handle the situation.

Bitcoin is designed for online transaction so definitely it will do great in paying online.  Since bitcoin is now popular there are some shop that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment.  There are many ways that bitcoin can gives service to us.  I want to see someday that it does almost everything and accepted as one of means of payment.

It actually works in some country and in some country it does not work at all. But in the working country, it does not work directly. It does not work peer to peer, bitcoin work through some payment processor in online shopping. It is getting popular day by day. Amazon is now accepting bitcoin! Soon other online shops will also accept bitcoin, no doubt about that.

that's a very good question, if I think it's really very good if it really works honestly and does not harm the consumer, but maybe it could be your return of bitcoin in return dollar currency if bitcoin value increases price.

The question is asked in time, and no, Bitcoin will not solve the problem. However, those ones who need very fast deals can choose exactly Bitcoin. Here is an article that can prompt you where to spend BTC online:

When you buy something on eBay or Amazon, you pay the seller, he ships the product and upload a tracking number.
If you haven't received the item, you can call eBay or Amazon and, basically, what happens is that if they have a tracking number that shows that the item has been delivered, then it is ok, otherwise eBay or Amazon reverses the transaction and you get your money back.
Is that possible with bitcoin? What if I buy a boat online for 2 bitcoins and I never receive it? Is bitcoin able to solve this problem?

Thanks

I think if we shop online with bitcoin then it will be difficult for us to track the goods we buy, better if shopping online using bitcoin we do it with people we already know or we believe so that we can avoid the risk of losing goods

Bitcoin can be used to redeem money that can be converted into most countries. Users can use bitcoin to buy some virtual items, such as clothes, hats, and equipment in online games. If accepted, they can also use bitcoin to buy real-life items.

It's not possible if you use bitcoin directly peer to peer but there are payment processors such as BitPay that will help protect against this.

https://bitpay.com/

Basically they're just like Paypal for bitcoin.

Why we can not use it? The purpose of bitcoin as currency is being used to pay online shop or something else.
However, there are some country who accept bitcoin in offline and online too. So its possible to use it.

The answer of your question in the title is :
Yes, it is work. Bitcoin works well for online payment.
but the answer of your question in your last paragraph is :
No, its not possible for bitcoin to reverse the transaction.
If you never received your order, you can request refund to the seller.
There is no guarantee that bitcoin network will reverse your transaction.

It's actually being applied now by some online sellers. So there's no question anymore if will work or not because it does and once the issue with fees and transaction speed gets settled, there will be more that will adopt this option. And as with fiat today, refunds aren't really working for online transactions. Most of the time you just get to replace your item after a few hassle

I think sometime it will be workable for the bitcoin to be utilized as a part of a few exchanges in the web like for internet shopping. In the event that that will occur later on, web based shopping will be a simple looking for us. Additionally, more individuals will be interested about bitcoin and accordingly, bitcoin will end up noticeably acclaimed. The economy of the nations that will adjust bitcoin will develop progressively and create.
