If burst started getting some market value and profitable with high trading volume i think ppl will start to figure out how to do burst hdd mining beside gpu and cpu mining and sure this can push the storage devices technology ...my opinion
Thanks to bitcoin mining, the capacity of the devices is increasing day by day. Mining has helped to increase the capacity of hardware devices.

What do you mean by HDD mining. Are you talking about mining Burst and Storj's .Scientist are knocking their brains out to increase the storage capacity and it does not necessarily mean that HDD mining could make any significant changes to the storage development going on and the next expected change in storage space will be the introduction of Heat assisted magnetic recording which is expected in a couple of years which would change everything as we could see 50 TB HDDs and so on.Could the same apply to HDD mining?

I don't think thats even possible. But anyway HDD mining is so minimal and so unprofitable right now so I don't think anyone would bother developing hardware for it. Could the same apply to HDD mining?
