If burst started getting some market value and profitable with high trading volume i think ppl will start to figure out how to do burst hdd mining beside gpu and cpu mining and sure this can push the storage devices technology ...my opinion

Thanks to bitcoin mining, the capacity of the devices is increasing day by day. Mining has helped to increase the capacity of hardware devices.

Could the same apply to HDD mining?
Can they store more data in smaller sizes?
What do you mean by HDD mining. Are you talking about mining Burst and Storj's .Scientist are knocking their brains out to increase the storage capacity and it does not necessarily mean that HDD mining could make any significant changes to the storage development going on and the next expected change in storage space will be the introduction of Heat assisted magnetic recording which is expected in a couple of years which would change everything as we could see 50 TB HDDs and so on.

Yes, I mean Burst and Storj as HDD mining.
If there is money in a business, everything changes. For example, I think that when BURST value is equal to ETH, it will get out a lot of creative ideas.
Storage is already a big business and companies are spending a lot of time and money to invent the latest technology in storage as i mentioned earlier HMR is the future and now with cloud computing companies are shifting their storage to the cloud and with the release of HMR it is a must have storage system because i do have hundreds of hard disk and DvD's lying around and more than 150 TB of hard disk contents and with an HMR disk i could save space  Smiley. I think BTCDragon is the first Casino to accepts Burst as their token. If the price of BURST improves i would not mind to mine using my hard disks as for now it is too low for my time.

I don't think thats even possible. But anyway HDD mining is so minimal and so unprofitable right now so I don't think anyone would bother developing hardware for it.

There's no such thing as hard drive mining with bitcoin.

BURST and STORJ coins are produced with HDD mining. These coins are traded on stock exchanges.
In fact, this topic was discussed a bit. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/burst-vs-storj-1769416
Right, and I said bitcoin. Moving topic.
