I think that only a name could not determine the growth of a crypto currency. There are many more factors which determines its success. But the name could act as an added benefit for that currency. For example,we don't know why satoshi decided to give his crypto currency name as Bitcoin. But it was catchy and we could not consider now any other name than bitcoin which could best suit it.Just like a well decorated shop first attracts the customers, but only survives if it delivers the customers satisfaction.Same is the case with crypto currency.Name could attract an investor but it would only succeed if it has a good road map, huge marketcap and big investors.

When we watch out for cryptocurrencies ,we also check the uniqueness behind its name and logo possibly : ) at times and it now seems like it really truly does matter in the growth of the Cryptocurrency at times.

Yeah, a unique name which is easy to pronounce and a professional logo does have an impact, gives a good first impression, but the growth of a cryptocurrency isn't dependent on its name alone, but its utility, concept, what idea/community does it support/represent, what industry does it target, what is the growth prospects of that industry.

For example, Dogecoin was an apt name with doge logo for a coin which represented the doge community, Shiba Inus. So basically both name and concept matters.

The name at that time was a joke. The whole coin was. And it's success was a fad.
How can you claim the coin was successful when ow is dead buried and the coins are one by one finding their way to doggie heaven.

And the coin had no "concept". What concept was behind it?

In my opinion, I don't think that the name of a certain project can determine the growth of that project. You might find that the name sounds goods but the technology isn't on point. I think the idea and technology behind every project will determine its growth and popularity.

Are you willing to invest in a coin if the name of it is "ScamCoin"? LOL.

I think branding is also important not only in crypto, but in other business as well. Naming a good coin that will struck in their mind is good, but we should also look at who are the people behind it as well. But a unique and catchy name will be a good way to start to attract investors into your project. We don't have to look further, "Bitcoin" for sure will really attract more people as opposed to ScamCoin or PutinCoin or TrumpCoin so say the least.
If the technology behind the so called 'ScamCoin' is impressive, I guess I will just have to give it a try. 90% of cryptocurrencies that are existing, mostly their names don't have a meaning. But we follow them just because of the idea, the team behind, or their technology. In my opinion, the name doesn't matter.

The way I see it, people putting their trust in a currrency is what determine its value.  the name of the currency is small reason out of many to put your trust in such.

But the appeal of what brings you to the coin are first impressions. Reason for coin/mechanics, dev team, etc. If you have a coin that is named tittyfuckcoin, not many people besides weridos would look at it. Marketing/branding means A LOT in a world that is saturated with so many things that demand our time and attention. Branding will leave a "lasting mark" in your mind, bringing you back to the coin someway somehow..

Brand - Old English, of Germanic origin; related to German Brand, also to burn. The word originally meant ‘burning’ or ‘a piece of burning or smoldering wood’ (sense 3 of the noun); the verb sense ‘mark permanently with a hot iron’ dates from late Middle English. The noun sense ‘mark of ownership made by branding,’ based on the latter, arose in the mid 17th century, and from it is derived sense 1 (early 19th century).

I Agree, those are the reasons I was reffering to. Smart dev team at most chances will choose a smart name.
And thanks u for the "Brand" info, nice to know. Smiley

Brand is the first thing to jidge the campaign. It dictates first impression of investors. Imagine this. If you have a very excellent platform idea while your ANN title is shit, dick, dildo and so on. Do you think serious investors will waste time on clicking your thread and see what inside of it? I think this is not connected with growth but investors can determine already if the devs was serious and dedicated if they put effort on choosing name and logo.
This is true, branding and logo would really play a big role for a certain project to become successful and as you said no one would really click the link if investors or community would find out an ugly logo without having a good introduction or representation of the said project.First impression do last and when they lost their interest on the very first place then expect that project will surely fail.

Is that an "article" ?
One example and 2 lines of text?

You know a coin that had some enormous growth in the past?
It was called maidsafecoin. That was a pretty....special, let's say name.
And right now , on spot 32 by MC we have "Basic Attention Token". What more can I say but... wow.

And let's go to the bottom of the tabel.
Quartz, good name in real world. In coin world ...dead.

The name and logo of the coin does make an impact on its growth but its not the only thing that grows the coin.
For example: Bitcoin - Regardless of its name it has grown so much over time. The growth it has made is remarkable and thats why its called the king of crypto currency. So the name of the coin can make a little impact towards its growth but cant determine how high the price will increase in future.
The coin which has greater potential will rise up and make its place towards the top whereas a coin with no potential will get dumped at the end.
Really? That only proves that it will be forever trendy in the sense that it creates a big name in the economy. Based on the shows that I've seen and even from the news that I watched or heard, dollars are getting higher to convert in other countries most preferably Asia. So if Asian countries and America will fuse then probably bitcoin would be more powerful and that cryptocurrency will work things well. The growth matters when people keep circulating the investment and its profit alike. Therefore, the more it drops, the more it is in demand.

yes. if it can be a project trend, then the answer is correct. because the name will always be remembered. the easier it is to remember the name, the better. especially if the project is a huge success. the name of cryptocurrency becomes very vital.

Yes, it does. Just imagine if I named my token "GI12499A7Gz" ..... would people remember that or would they rather go for

something like ZooCoin? The name in my opinion should be something short, even Ethereum is too complicated for some

people. There are 1000's of Alt coins out there and most of them survive with cool, short names.  Cool

I think token's name helps people to memorize it and to become more familiar with this token.

A lot of effort should be done in naming a crypto because it is the first thing you will present to investors and users. And there are really names that stick to everyone easily.  I guess if you have a good name, it also represents a good brand to some and make your crypto more popular. It is harder to market a crypto with a silly name.

I think that the name doesnt matter, but is better if the name is simple, because we can remember it easily
You choise what type of currencies to buy by hes value price not by the name Smiley

I agree with you i think it doesnt matter if what kinds of name you have to put in your own coins or tokens the mosf important of this is that how to use this coin and how to earn in this coins and how the people adopt this coins in the future thats the most important for me

But we should remember that not all coins who have serious names are serious about the coin that they will launch. Don't get me wrong, I agree that Cryptocurrency's name is a great factor to get the trust of people and is worth it but there are other factors that we should also consider like their roadmap, developments, the team behind it, purpose and etc.

The name is the brand and what goes around it. Its actually to a level determines how far to attract people to it but that is not the only factor. Names like waves, ark among others catch attention for me even before I know what they are trying to talk about and this is something I feel every one working on a project should look into when developing anything.
