XRP for me. I feel so many hate it for no reason and I am going against the herd and buying in the hope it will finally wake up in the bull run peak over the next 6-12 months now that the law suit that has been holding it back for many years is coming to an end.

I plan to sell some in this bull run peak next year but also hold a few thousand until 2030 when the price will likely be a lot more.

For no reason? First of all, its charts during the years don't look good. People were calling for the big pumps all the time, but it did almost nothing. And it's fully centralized and controlled by the bank, lol.

It’s had a law suit over its head for over 5 years so that’s the reason it didn’t do well last bull run.

Once the law suit is fully over it will be free, there will be no fear over it.

Let’s see what happens, but it will definitely do better than Bitcoin from today for the rest of this bull run.

Yeah, I heard it so many times. Can't agree with you, but we'll see.

The two altcoins you mentioned are good altcoins which many people have testified about the good result they got from the altcoins because they have potential teams that is making the coins to continue dominating to encourage others people to invest on the Dogecoin and XRP. If you make Dogecoin business your choice, you have make a good choice because the price of Dogecoin will going to pump  in the next 3 years in the industry and it will help those that will invest when the price was low to have the opportunity to earn plenty profits.

Your first and second choice are very good to achieve a good result in the future, if you have the money to finance the altcoins business because the amount of money you use to invest on them, will determine the kind of profit you are going to earn from Dogecoin and XRP, but if you change your mind to invest only on XRP, I guess you make a good decision also because you will surely earn a good profit in the bull season.

At this rate, I think XRP is more recommended for you since it has more liquidity and usability in terms of payment also its developers are strong enough to win every bad accusations against them which lead to their coin surviving until now and it's one of the top currently.

Therefore, if you want to invest in the long term, you can always choose XRP because they have high chance of survivability and have some major influence in the crypto market.
Very different thoughts from different people, which is why doing your own research is always recommended. While majority were advising Op to avoid xrp due to it's process of launch and centralized nature. Suggesting that xrp could be obviously manipulated by the creators by adding fckn more coins.

In the other hand, you are advising Op to go for xrp because it has some use case and it will last long in the market since there's active team behind it. Besides dodge is a meme coin without a use case apart from trading and speculation.

If I were you, I would choose a better option as there are many altcoins to invest in, if actually you don't want bitcoin.

Why would you compare both DOGE and XRP? They're completely different things. Dogecoin is a "meme" coin with an ever-growing supply (worthless), while XRP is a centralized "shitcoin" backed by banks worldwide. If I'd get to choose between the two, Dogecoin would be my best choice. But even then, I wouldn't invest in it for the long term. Especially when there's inflation built in the protocol. Not to mention, the coin is purely-speculative with little or no development activity. It often lacks innovation compared to bigger players like BTC and ETH.

I doubt XRP will reach a new ATH when it's still struggling with the regulators. If by any chance it replaces SWIFT, then nothing will stop it from going to the moon. Seeing XRP's past market performance, tells me it's a bad investment. You're free to choose what you like. Just don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, and you'll do fine. Cheesy

I have seen the XRP community being happy with the current movement of this coin. They're now countering the memes that were thrown to them for being told that XRP has became a stable coin for not moving at all. I understand their happiness from the frustration of its performance. But I don't understand why they're celebrating this early? XRP moved, yes but for how much? to me it isn't big at all compared to Bitcoin.

There's nothing to be proud of or I shouldn't invalidate their feelings if that's what they think is right as they've waited for this movement at all. Let's take it that most of the people are using more of doge if it's about investments and transfers. In most casinos, you'd see people like to use more of doge because of how they can go through with games for it being cheap. XRP doesn't have that a lot of difference on it but it's more centralized than Doge and the community doesn't like that. Market wise alone, you just have to go along with it and when you're in profit, take and withdraw your profits.

Why limit yourself to two, like everyone said, these are arguably the most controversial ones and I would say that you are making a mistake limiting yourself to these two, you should try to avoid this as much as you can. There isn't really anything that you can do to make this work, you should try to achieve something much better about it. I know that you are going to face some issues if you are not careful and I know that it is not going to be simple.

However, if you can "like" something else, and probably a top ranked one, you will be doing much better. That's of course only what you can do, with the way things are going, I would say that it is not going to be easy for anyone, and you are going to see some issues about it as well.

The only downside of XRP is direct manipulation from token creators aside from big investors. With dogecoin, it's dependent with general market hype. I saw how high its market price became and how low it fell in a sudden which is evident to many memecoins. Well, I see a better potential with XRP still despite its issues simply because there are already projects on this chain unlike with memecoins that are having no utility at all and is just dependent with the market trend. This is just on the idea of choosing between the two but of course there are other better coins to hold than these two. If it is with memecoins then I'd probably be picking the new ones inspite of higher risk and rug tendency. At least in such way, I could still be taking advantage of making a purchase or entry on its early stages.

People are hating XRP for some reasons. I remember when an XRP co-founder was deciding to step down from their project. Then, he dumped his stash on the market. Not only that. People also got triggered by XRP's self-claims. They said that XRP was following the bank's philosophy.
It made people think that XRP was a centralized, useless coin. But, the fact is that this coin has no use case other than as a payment system, right?

I plan to sell some in this bull run peak next year but also hold a few thousand until 2030 when the price will likely be a lot more.
XRP's price already rose a lot. Are you expecting XRP to be worth a few bucks, as it was in the past? Good luck with your diamond hand.

Both are not the ideal choice but both have a potential to give you at least 20% of profit within next 6 months. Dogecoin is sustaining at current price and any new announcement from Elon Musk's companies would pump its price again. Similarly XRP is in a legal suit against SEC which they are highly likely to win. XRP is sustaining at current lower price and the good news would surely give it a price boost. So, both of them would be better investment than many of other coins and probably outperfrom bitcoin but they won't be giving you crazy profit like meme coins.

I doubt that anybody can give you 100% assurance of what the position of Dogecoin or XRP will be in the near future, all you will get is speculations. You should understand that investing in altcoins are risky, including the two that you're looking at, so DYOR and gamble the amount that you can afford to loose, especially on memecoins. There are too many scam projects in the crypto market and even the top altcoins like Ethereum, BNB and Solana that have proven their reputations have no guarantee of continuously hitting new ATH in the long run. It's only Bitcoin that has that capacity to continuously reaching new ATH price, so it's the only cryptocurrency that I can fully endorse.

The two coins you mentioned, both are good to invest. But in my case, I would prefer DOGE coin over XRP. I invested a small amount in DOGE coins. Since, both the coins are good to invest, there are good future prospects so if you have enough funds then you can invest in both the coins. However, many people have given advice here, you can invest according to the advice you think is good. It is best if you decide on your own which coins to invest in.

...

I don't want to give you or anyone else investment advice, but I think you should expand your options and diversify your portfolio instead of narrowing them. Also, while prioritizing solid cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, you should also keep cash in your vault because if another wave of declines comes, you should have a chance to move to lower your average.

Doge is a memecoin and I think your budget for aimless coins should be the smallest amount in your portfolio. XRP is a cryptocurrency but its decentralization is debatable. Also, its genesis blocks are missing. Please let us know if you see them... :)

Recently, there was news circulating on the Internet about BRICS countries planning to make use of XRP as part of their payment system for InterCounrty trade and I think one of the major factors the coin has bounced back on track is that they won the lawsuit against them by SEC and it gave people more confidence to invest in the coin. So I will slightly tithe towards XRP.

Doge on the other hand has been a very disappointing coin even during the bull run period and not many stories about it aside from the Elon Musk tweet about it on the 17th of July 2020 that gave it a one-time wave.

These two Altcoins have been around for a long time and still exist today, although there has not been a very sharp increase between the two, but since they were first launched until now Dogecoin and Xrp have shown improvement even though they cannot compete with other top Altcoins.  However, there is no harm in trying your luck to invest in it and make it a long-term investment

I initially thought you wanted to invest in either of the two but your latter explanation shows otherwise, so maybe you do not even know what you want to express. In case you don't know, it is a different ballgame if you want to invest directly in them by holding them and using them as a means of deposit/withdrawal into/from companies.

In my reading and practical experience of the two, Dogecoin is the better preference for businesses around the world. For instance, if a company decides to accept between 3 and 5 cryptos, you are highly likely to see Dogecoin among them, but it is very unlikely you see Ripple among them.

It is a choice between bad and worse. If you are looking for a safe investment, buy the top currencies of the market. But if you want to get a great profit from Doge with Elon Musk's tweets, buy it. Also, keep in mind that Doge is a meme coin and you'll see many pumps and dumps.

If you want to invest in altcoin then dogecoin is good and strong coin. But you must wait a long time to make an investment but you can expect good returns from it. So I will tell you that although it is a powerful platform but altcoin investment is always risky so you have to take your own risk.

Also if you invest XRP as second option you have to hold it for a long time. Because the price of XRP is currently very low, it is likely to increase in the future because at the moment they have a case that is yet to complete. If the case can be broken then the price of XRP will increase rapidly and you can get good profit from here, but investing here is also risky.
