i think doge problem is the  quantity, the base user of dogecoins is high but stable, but the coins issued daily are too much and at end this coins ends in a exchange making selling pressure, i think reward should be halved or reduced in some way

volume is pretty high compared to other coins.
17btc on yobit.
54.28414687 BTC on poloniex

is this normal? or is there something gaining to happen.

i just bought 200'000 doges.

lets see what is going to happen.

the price cycle looks good. it has to go up now.

the volume is huge on poloniex because is one of the few fast withdraw on cryptsy,

some people convert his btc on crypsty and dump it on poloniex

This coin is just a fun coin. Nothing less nothing more. It won't be a big coin, but just a coin used for tipping and/or donations. That's why the developers are not developing anything. There are other coins who can do other things and have other purposes.
I agree with this, and if OP checks out Reddit he'll see that they're crazy DOGE tippers over there.  And DOGE donations sent the Jamaican bobsled team to the Olympics, right?  As I said, I like the coin.  You can buy some stuff with it, but not much.

But is doge just steady and quiet or is it slowly losing its value? I have a silly notion of wanting to be a dogillionaire just for the fun of it but dont like lighting money on fire.

Its dropeed down in price a fair bit but i still see quite a bit of activity with it so lots of people are obviously still using it.

I think they also use the Bitcoin Core files ancd change the code slightly for Dogecoin Core. I was considering the sizes of both bitcoin-qt.exe and dogecoin-qt.exe and examining that both of the files were the same size!

Normally the dev's only follow up risky vulnerabilities, and not features requested by the community. Having said that some new branded wallet and website would give dogecoin such a new boost, showing the haters Dogecoin is here to stay.

Like Litecoin (which only has occational threads about being "officially dead") Dogecoin belongs to the type of crypto currencies that mainly act as a medium of exchange without much added capabilities.

This is actually a good thing, since less complexity also means there are fewer things that can go wrong, but obviously also less to talk about. I think Dogecoin is one of the most serious coins with the fewest scandals and controveries. It just werks.

By the way: Does anybody know why Cryptsy-Dogecoin trade at 30% premium compared to China-Dogecoin? http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/#markets

Don't know what you mean about "scam free coin" but it's a legit one.  There's a very active DOGE community over on Reddit.  Keep in mind that this is a bitcoin forum that has a small altcoin section.  I happen to like DOGE but I generally don't discuss it here.

i mean nobody talks about this coin because it is scam-free.

so i will check reddit.

Hi

whats up with doge? nobody is talking about this coin anymore.

is this a scam free coin  Roll Eyes

I don't think there are fewer people talking about it! If they are, maybe it was because it went from 50 Satoshi to 25 Satoshi in about three months, It is back up to about 35 Satoshi now, but still quite low.
It i a very well known but cheap coin!
