Easy. Doge is fun, generous, charitable, and gets great publicity.
The doge community is probably one of the most generous of the cryptocurreny community. Not sure why they get so much flak from r/bitcoin.
After users of Doge sponsored the Jamaican bob sled team to go to Sochi and paid to drill 2 wells in Kenya (30 000$) the Doge users are now sponsoring Josh Wise and a Dogecar will now run in Nascar!
