Stick to doged  I like it and no doubt re branding would just bring more questions up. Some coins re branded past and present and it killed them off. Some at the start re branded as wasn't to keen on the name of it but that was at the start of the coins life. Having a coin being around as long as Doged amount of design and other things put into it to re brand it into something else now I would be against it. Plus this coin needs a good video like doge coin has maybe make one when I have some time if I get too it:)

yeah, especially now that doge's main dev is gone.. someone needs to pick up the slack.. we have less coins, we're fun, have a HUGE community, and we're private, so the name is perfect as is.

 Cool

Which dev are you talking about?

I like the hardcore dev skillz, but would you ever consider rebranding?

What are your ideas?

I don't really have any ideas, I just wanted to bring the idea up and see what you guys thought. Not to be rude but when I hear DogeCoinDark I just think its such a joke.

Rebranding would be insane.  People want a dark dogecoin.

This coin can go to the dark moon if the anon stuff is just made a little easier to work (I got an error installing Win 7 i2p auto-installer and didn't know how to proceed) and someone makes some nice post comparing Doge and DOGED emission rate (because if people think that there are the same number of Doge and DOGED then that makes DOGED look more expensive than it really is).

yeah we only make 10 percent of the amount of coins DOGE makes.  Cool

right now just over 9 billion, whereas DOGE is at over 100 billion at the moment.

that would have to be a community majority made decision

some people in the steam group are thinking of starting a TF2 tournament, just a heads up.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DogecoinDark/discussions/0/527274088384147739/

there is a doged bot in the steam chat, so doged can be sent over steam.. and the steam group chat and our main irc chat are relayed, so everyones always connected.

if you havent joined, heres the steam group link:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-09-02/china-scrambles-enforce-capital-controls-capital-flight-threatens-economy-which-grea

FTA: ... in bitcoin (whose total market cap at last check was just over $3 billion), sit back and watch as we witness the second coming of the bitcoin bubble, one which could make the previous all time highs in the digital currency, seems like a low print.

We bring all this up in case there is any confusion why Bloomberg just carried a huge centerfold piece explaining why CDS-inventor Blythe Masters has suddenly become the digital currency's most vocal pitchman and is betting it all on bitcoin, in "Blythe Masters Tells Banks the Blockchain Changes Everything."

Yes, bitcoin may be slowly but surely leaving the domain of the libertarian fringe, but in exchange it is about to be embraced as the most lucrative and commercial "blockchained" way to capitalize on what may soon become the largest capital outflow in history, with "pioneers" such as Blythe front and center to capitalize on each and every outflowing Bityuan.

China starts looking at Bitcoin and can trace the transactions seems like the perfect opportunity for DOGED. Cool

Any update re exchanges overseas listing DOGED?

Just seen in the details as half the time not every image loads on op that you have CPU mining, is it even worth sticking on cpu mining with 8 core cpu or gonna need a bunch of cpus to pump at it to get any generation of blocks? And with your above post DEV any rewards for having node running like node rewards etc for being online?

we have a ton of nodes right now, and i believe someone even has bitnode crowdfunding going on for more.. my clearnet daemons/wallets get about 30-40 connections..

i made the cpu miner (https://github.com/doged/diy-dogecoindark-digger) for users who dont have decent gpu's or scrypt asic rigs,

so that everyone has a shot at getting some doged! same reason i made the faucet[/b] (http://dogecoindark.goldmin.es)

id give 8 cores a shot, maybe run 7/8 out of them, just to see.. im sure you can get 100+ DOGED a day if you join the right pool..

ahh cool cool no worries was just seeing about the cpu if worth while as using clod mining right now for mining but the last 1 to 2 weeks servers been messed up going to be getting a full refund by looks of it so cant complain if they provide the refund on it as will go towards some other mining that is a lot more better and has far better up time.

And for the node side I will sure to look into this and maybe look to setting one up in the future Smiley

Can I help out by running a node somehow and even get some GOGED for doing so? Or is that like mining?

the transaction fees go to the block reward of the block the tx is contained in.. but you can always run a node =]

Hi Dev please can you tell me in simple terms how this is more ANONYMOUS than bitcoin please?
I have some people asking.

we have a global network on i2p as well as tor (nodes strategically placed around the world, like europe, america, asia, etc), and not just for our core wallet,

but for our electrum wallets, and our web wallets as well..

when connecting to these networks, there is no ip of the user exchanged/logged.

say for example, you send me a bitcoin (or just about any altcoin). i can monitor the network and find your ip address,

because it is broadcasted throughout the network and associated with your wallet id. (open debug.log where your wallet.dat is kept and you can see what i mean)

if i were a malicious user looking to make a quick buck, using both of those pieces of criteria,

i can check the balance of your wallet, and i can run scans on your ip address to find an exploit/vulnerability/open door. there is a strong chance i have what i need now to get your wallet.

having your ip address is essentially having your home address, and now knowing your wallet id, i essentially know how much money you have.

https://blockchain.info/tx/62861efbd8afd01d0de0943f42e0af8e099f751c4a881c6e98fa7ccc3b47887b  here you can see blockchain.info actually posts the ip that relayed the tx.

coin network monitoring is pretty simple on the clearnet (regular internet)

so an example of how our i2p and tor networks function is, that i, as the administrator of the web wallet, can check the users ip's who log in.

when i open our web wallet on i2p or tor, i see no ip address of the users who have accounts on it.

on our clearnet web wallet, i have a simple list of each users ip that has connected to it.

when implementing technology like this, we establish a much more secure and anonymous /private connection.

as a matter of fact, the wallets that run on our i2p/tor web wallets, and i2p/tor electrum servers, are also syncing on i2p and tor nodes.

at some point, i plan on even furthering the obfuscation by putting our tor and i2p nodes, on tor and i2p nodes.

(might sound a little confusing, but basically it would be having a private network, on a private network)

Can I help out by running a node somehow and even get some GOGED for doing so? Or is that like mining?
