I haven’t really done much studies on his proposal - but I did saw different headlines and several social media posts talking about Trump being a man that will support crypto (which I initially thought would favour the bitcoin community which in turn would favour Privacy). But with what I’ve seen so far in this thread I am starting to think all that was just a ploy for the presidency race.
Of course it was and it still is. Trump is trying to get as many people from the undecided camp of voters to vote for him and not his opponent. His team realized that there are many votes to be won by presenting him as pro-bitcoin and pro-crypto. How many Bitcoin conferences did he visit in his lifetime before his campaign started? 0, right? How many pro-bitcoin/crypto bills and laws did he propose or sign during his first presidency? I am guessing 0. And the same is probably true about anything that improves the anonymity of the taxpayers. Let's not kid ourselves here. He is certainly better than Genocide Joe, but men in power aren't interested in helping you gain more freedom and independence, be it financially or in any other way.
