Like how the Iraqis underestimated the USA?

The iraqis had state of the art russian equipment, they spent a fortune on it.

Russian technology has proven itself to be JUNK. Believe your "Pravda",

REMEMBER it was individuals from the russian political system that coined the term "useful idiots".

How can I believe or trust a system so cynical that it considers its citizens "useful idiots"?

Iraqis had a lot of shitty export models, not the real stuff (just compare the T-72M with the T-72B). In addition that stuff was really old indeed and quite far from being state of the art.

You don't have to believe in them, you just shouldn't underestimate them.

I've heard those myths and heard them again busted time over time.
No nato plane should have come back from Serbia , no plane or tank from Irak none from Afghanistan yet all got crushed in one week

s-400? never tested in actual battle?
You compare an army that has been tested in battle conditions for the last 70 years with all the modern technology with an army which is fed propaganda each day that they are the best with no combat experience and with 30-40 years old weapon systems.

And don't forget..
Nobody had a clue about the f117 the b2 or the sr-71

And all those are retired but money keep going into the so called "black projects".
The russian won't even know what hit them till the war is over.

Serbians never had any S-400 or S-300 systems. However they managed to down some planes (f117 incl.) by using ancient S-3 SAMs. I'd suggest to do some research on those "30-40 years old weapon systems". BTW underestimating an opponent isn't a wise thing.

Research on what....
Neither the s300 not the s400 have seen actual combat

They might be formidable but just as well they might prove useless and with the recent wars seeing tons of tons of Russian weapons turned into scrapmetal by the us forces I incline to the second of those two

As expected, NATO is talking about using their air force or sending in a "coalition" to repel the "Russian invasion"

http://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/natosource/us-and-europe-have-a-feasible-military-option-for-defending-ukraine

I lose a little more faith in this world everyday.

I don't think that NATO will ever send any military force to Ukraine. Poland, Romania.etc might pressure for a NATO intervention, but all the main "donor" nations (France, Germany, Italy.etc), with the exception of the UK are going to oppose this measure. In case if NATO sends any of their jets to bomb the rebels in Ukraine, then not a single one will come back. Russia will immediately arm the rebels with S-400 Triumf SAMs.

The "transatlantic coalition" can run into a big slap on the face if the Russians are really there. Russians soldiers are much better trained and far better armed than those guys in Libya or Afghanistan.

What do you think guys can garlic keep away nukes as well Smiley?
Everything is much worse. The most of members of so called transatlantic coalition don't have an immunity against a majority of endemic microorganisms. Just one example, drinking a glass of water from the Rostov city's public water supply is absolutely harmless to the locals but often results with the severe diarrhea for guests from Texas. That was accidentally checked few times.  Cheesy So if you're visiting russia, ukraine or another eastern european country then it's strictly recommended to boil the water before drinking. If you have no plans to spend a few days in the toilet, of course.

There are also some much less pleasant things like crimean hemorragic fever or omsk hemorragic fever with ebola-like symptomatics...

The town of Volnovakha is still controlled by the Kiev forces. If the rebels take control of Volnovakha, then supplies can be moved through the highway from Donetsk to Mariupol.  Grin

They are fighting for almost 5 days now, but still there has been no change in the ground situation.

And a very dangerous situation is developing in the Dokuchaevsk - Styla pocket. The Kiev forces have taken control of a few villages to the East and they are only a few kms from the Amvroseevka pocket.

About borders.
You are not very good in geography. Take a look in map.
Sorry, but I'm not interested in your opinion or your knowledge of geography. I've asked you the direct question. Have you ever seen ukrainian border or not? It's a simple question, the possible answers are "yes" or "no".

You are not very smart, that you couldn't guess that I meant "führer".
Then you need to know that not very smart is much better than not smart at all.

About war..
De Facto it is a war ("De Facto" will be too difficult for you to understand  Wink "
What a joke. Cheesy In case if it's too difficult for you:

1) There is no such thing as "de facto war" defined by the constitution, there is only "state of emergency".
2) Mobilization is strictly prohibited while there is no state of emergency has been declared;
3) It's not allowed to use armed forces for dealing with internal affairs while there is no state of emergency has been declared.

So you and your "government" have only two options left:

1) Publicly admit that you're lying about "anti-terrorist operation";
2) Publicly admit that you have performed an illegal mobilization and then admit that you're using armed forces illegaly.

Check mate. Maybe it's time to read your own constitution? I've read regional and federal constitutions when I was 11 years old, for example...

"You even have no idea that Timofejev is a russian surname.."
My father is Russian. I live in Kiev. I know something about war, so I am for peace.
You don't know anything about the war or ethnic cleansing. You never were visited by a couple of guests with AK74 at 3:00 AM and you never sold your home&land to them. I'm 100% sure about that.

By the way, I think that it's possible to talk directly, I even can introduce you to really not brainwashed person who live in Kiev too. I can ask him for permission if you wish... So what is your answer? Smiley

so that is a reason I called you "brainwashed", because you are supporting intervention in Ukraine.
The problem is that you're pretending to be objective while you even too lazy for reading your own constitution. And who is brainwashed here?

He, he..
1) you spent a lot of time, writing your replay.. That is pretty good Wink
2) of course you can introduce with your KGB guy... I have no doubt about that.

You are well trained, but still rather dumb, because you underestimate me. Ask your boss to call for somebody who is better qualified  Grin

New Satellite Imagery Exposes Russian Combat Troops Inside Ukraine 28 Aug 2014

Mons, BELGIUM – NATO released new satellite images on Thursday, 28 August 2014, that show Russian combat forces engaged in military operations inside the sovereign territory of Ukraine. The images, captured in late August, depict Russian self-propelled artillery units moving in a convoy through the Ukrainian countryside and then preparing for action by establishing firing positions in the area of Krasnodon, Ukraine.

Seems like the rebels don't have enough manpower to take Mariupol.  Angry

They have taken a few of the neighboring towns and villages, but the city itself remains firmly in the Ukrainian control. Worser still, some of the NAF fighters are trapped in the Demyanovka - Cheryopolye pocket. Had they captured Mariupol, then it would have been much easier to get supplies from Abkhazia.

Indeed.  TAKE Mariupol
