Donetsk police published a report with information that at night on the 22nd of May as a result of an attack of saboteurs on infantry unit of the National Guard near town Volnovaha in Donetsk region 13 servicemen of the MoD have been killed. There are more than 30 wounded, many of them are in critical condition. Reports journalist Yuriy Butusov.
On his Facebook page the editor of the publication Censor.Net Yuriy Butusov writes about reason of such big losses:
Insufficient level of combat and tactical training in the organization of the checkpoint.
Absence of reconnaissance and communication with the local population.
Lack of engineering equipment on the checkpoint.
Lack of outposts, which allowed the enemy to come close to the positions of unit unnoticed.
Lack of thermography exploration and sophisticated night vision equipment in Ukrainian military.
Lack of interaction with other units that could be quickly deployed to the attacked area.
«Pursuit of the enemy gang was not organised,” – writes Butusov – There is no search for attackers, the area is not blocked. The number of gang members is no more than 100 people.».

most likely their own if anti kiev = separatist = pro russian units they would capture the tanks not destroy.
someone say killing happened at 5 am from nearby local village, how daytime is 5am?

I believe the 2 helicopter killed them not separatists from nearby village.
now they say nearby village did it so US/Nato/Kiev backed soldiers can come and wipe out this village.
