Please create a separate topic for USSR discussion, not related to the region of Novorossia/Ukraine!
I might be interested in replying to some of the statements then.

Do I have to ask you even more politely?

Yeah yeah , I know that piece of crap propaganda .. I lived in an ex commie country..
You had a lot of money but no heat in your crappy apartment no hot water nothing to buy from the market , I had to stay in line from 4 am to wait fro the 7 am milk truck and only the lucky one got they 1l ratio , everything was on ratios.. and we lived better than anyone on the planet...
Commie propaganda doing it's worse

Which part is "commie propaganda" exactly? Milk? Dude you got MILK, i mean fresh milk, that is why it was brought to you in the morning. Today you can by no milk at all, just some white colored substance that tastes a bit like a milk bit is not milk. And its utter lie that you could had only 1L of it. In fact fresh milk in USSR was given for free to pregnant and lactating women at special milk shops.
You have free education didn`t you? And guaranteed employment after.
Your house was given to you for free, no loans, no decades of savings to buy it.
You had free medical services, my mother for example had laser eye surgery in 1983, my uncle had femoral neck prothesis for free in 1987, grandmother had 3 kidney surgeries and 1 heart surgery for free, even dentists was all free.
You had vacation services, i`m sure if you grew up in some "commie country" you had it. In USSR of 1986 alone over 18 million children visited resort for no payments from their parents and so on. Heat was everywhere always, same as hot and cold water. Of cource there could be some emergency accidents but they are everywhere. Simple demographics of so called "ex-communist" countries in last 100 years proves my points.

I really wonder do you even know the definition of Communism in the first place, let alone Socialism?

Start educating yourself, you are danger to humanity!

I wonder how do you believe all this crap and yet you come to btc forum. Do you know what btc is? I guess not.

by 1980 USSR got highest average living standards on planet.

How does it go? There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

I didn't have a chance to travel all the way to USSR but as a youngster I've been visiting Hungary and Czechoslovakia while they were still part of the Soviet block. I cannot tell for sure, but I suppose that their official state numbers describing living standards weren't lagging much behind the Soviet Union. Anyway. I remember terribly poor people, devastated infrastructure, neglected cities and ridiculously low prices for... well, just about everything: my friends and I were quite amazed by the fact that it's almost impossible to spend what we were considering just a pocket money in those times. Everyone were friendly though, but one could always feel some sort of envy directed towards us coming from (ex) Yugoslavia. Which even at its economical peak at the late 80's wasn't really a rich country, compared to west European standards.

I also recall Polish tourists on Yugoslavian coast: they were laughing stock for our less polite people. To watch them eating tinned food on the beach (because they couldn't afford restaurant) was almost unpleasant.

Highest living standard on the planet?
Are we talking about Russia and planet Earth?

Yes. By 1940 USSR reached average living standards of Europe and USA, by 1980 USSR got highest average living standards on planet.
In 1980 soviet currency, the rouble was golden. 1r=0,987g of gold. Average price of 1g of gold in 1980 was 20$, average personal mouthly income in 1980 USSR was 177 roubles.
177*0,987*20=3494 of 1980 dollars, around 10500$ today. That was AVERAGE salary in USSR in dollars-through-gold value
Some prices: 1 bedroom appartment utility bill - 4-7 roubles a month, that included unlimited hot and cold water, heat, gas. Electricity - 0,02r per kWh. Taxi is also 0,02r per kilometer of the trip btw
Subway trip - 0,05r, mountly abonement for all city transportation (unlimited trips) - 3r. Full meal in some canteen, incl soup, main course, drink and desert - 1r (0,5r for students). 0,4kg of bread - up to 0,28r e t c

Houses was given for free
Education - free (with 30-70 roubles mountly grants for all students)
Medicine - all free
Vacation services once in a year - free, additional up to 30roubles for 3 weeks in resort at black sea like this:

Donetsk and Luhansk regions to hold referendum as scheduled earlier

http://en.itar-tass.com/world/730897

Quote
The Donetsk and Luhansk regions have decided not to postpone the referendum planned for May 11. The people’s council of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic has voted against the postponement. "People intend to hold the referendum. There are millions of people ready to cast their votes," co-chairman of the republic’s government Denis Pushilin told a press conference after the council's voting. "Even if we had voted against, the referendum all the same would be held," he added.

Why don't they have a referendum for the date of the referendum?. With this everyone will be happy and the will of the people will prevail.

Btw , if you're still an editor on wiki like me ( sorry if i misread or i remember it wrong) you should go here

So you're suggesting that the observers going into the areas hold by the rebels should be escorted by Ukrainian troops?
Don't you find that a bit funny?

Either by the Ukrainian Army, or by the UN peace keepers (as agreed between the two rival factions). What role does the Black Water and other private security contractors have here?

Any proofs of them being mercenary? Please quote something else than rt.
This is a propaganda piece of crap and nothing more.

You see a blurry video and a photo and you believe everything they say just because you think Russia is better than the us. And in no time you're a brainwashed sheep also.

Do you really think that observers go alone in those areas? How about you check wikipedia (which btw seems to be like 99% of your source of knowledge and out of the blue is not trustable anymore) and find out how those international military observations take part.

International observers are provided security by the host nation. International observers don't depend upon Black water mercenaries for their security... well that might be the case in Iraq... but no across the world.

Piece of propaganda?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Sloviansk
Wiki says he was part of international military observervers, he was released together with the rest OSCE mission.

We was bartered for imprisoned people from the People's Army.

Part of international military observers? What sort of joke? How come a soldier with a low rank suddenly become a international military observer? There are certain qualifications needed for that job.

You know that there was TWO revolutions in Russia in 1917 right? The one that happened in october unified Russia not desintegrated, and turned it from backward failed country with 27,5 years average life expectancy, 80% infant mortality and 21% litteracy rate into world`s leading industrial and military superpowerwith highest living standards on planet.
