There are some gamblers that chase their losses to enter debt in the gambling center that led them to prison in my area and, I will not encourage any gamblers to gamble because he or she want to recover from the losses at the moment which is dangerous.

Just know that any day you experience loss, don't feel bad because there is another day to gamble and, it can be the next gamble that will make you win money that will help you to recover your losses in the past.
Advice is easier than a practical action, you also see in a classroom, the teacher can tell many students about moral principles but each person's ability to absorb is extremely different, some will keep a calm heart, some will pursue with explosive emotions. Gambling is also a form of this, calm people will know how to hide while confused people will want to pursue, they just want their emotions to return to tranquility but it's terrible when this pursuit exceeds one's capacity, once pursued, it will be difficult to stop

What does gamble when necessary mean anyway?

Gambling is not a necessity in life. It is a hobby at the most and a fun thing to do and should be limited to that much if you dont want it to become an addiction in the first place.

There is skills in EV+ games but luck still plays a role there and can wipe out your entire prediction with nothing left. Of course chasing a loss is never recommended but that does not happen if you are playing for fun.

There is complexity surrounding the issue of gambling addiction. Maybe some people engage in gambling primarily for entertainment purposes and may be able to manage their spending within the confines of their income. But gambling can escalate into a problematic behavior that negatively impacts various aspects of their lives. One of the challenges of addressing gambling addiction is the pervasive belief that individuals can't be held responsible for their excessive gambling.

Addiction can diminish the ability to exercise control over their behavior, but there's still a level of personal accountability involved. Recognizing the signs of gambling addiction and seeking help early on can make a significant difference in mitigating its harmful effects. The people who struggle to balance their monthly income with expenses may be particularly vulnerable to the allure of gambling as a means of financial gain. This can exacerbate existing financial challenges and lead to further hardship for themselves and their families.
That's why people think that gambling is not an activity that can be done by everyone because if they engage in gambling when the financial structure is unstable, it will make the problem more complicated. Gambling has been going on for a long time and there are many people involved in gambling online or offline, I see how people gamble unreasonably and they spend money irresponsibly. In the end, gambling activities destroy everything, including finances, family and social relationships with the surrounding community.

For me it doesn't matter if people pursue gambling, as long as they are able to balance the family's monthly income and expenses. Responsible gambling is more about how people are able to make a portion of the money spent on gambling, so that the budget prepared has a much more relevant value for spending. If people are unable to handle gambling like that then addiction will actually create new problems for them in the future.
Please break this down and be honest. Its not all black and white in gambling - I've seen the good, bad, and ugly. A major win is euphoric, but empathy for losers is crucial. This is about balance and responsibility. Want to bet? Well, do it wisely. Keep a budget and never let it affect your family's health. How to play without being played. With the correct mindset and limits, gambling may be part of a healthy lifestyle. What matters is understanding when to hold, fold, and leave. Responsible, fun, and always in perspective.

I'm not sure people will need gambling on a normal basis. because more gamblers gamble because of their desires rather than needs. Most of them carry out gambling activities regularly, it could be every weekend or every time they get a monthly salary with the allocation that has been provided.
maybe the case will be different with addicted gamblers. it can make him gamble every day and that will be very difficult. because he doesn't control how much money he will spend every day from his gambling losses.

It's more of their emotions controlling them (us) to gamble for more. So it's really hard to stop or control it. Because there will be times that you will win. So you want to go back again and have that same feeling again and of course winning some money.

And just like what the title of this thread, it might be good not to chase your losses, but who can control others though? All we can do is to give them advise but then again, there are gamblers who are going to still fall for it no matter how many times we say them to stop.

That is an individual choice in the end but men are easily impacted from the environment and people they stay. For example if the shepherd of sheep is a quiet person is because he is looking after something that is quiet like the sheeps. The one who look after camels in the desert for example can be a very harsh person as camels are not that quiet.

So the more the person is hearing these advices to stop the more he will be prone to try and stop gambling.

Better to stop and quit after you suffer from a deep loss, instead of loaning or barrowing it's better to accept and move on, there's nothing you can do as adding more money will just trigger aggression and it might cause you more losses and regrets once you continue losing more money, gamblers needs to realize that chasing losses mostly resulting to more suffering for your finances.

If you can't stop, better to quit the day and come back with a fresh mindset, instead of pushing forward and force yourself to add more money on your bankroll, pause and re-assess your strategy it might help you to bring fresh ideas and continue enjoying the game.

Be aware that the game has two outcomes. The first result is a win and the second result of the game is a loss. Winning is a small part of losing in gambling.
Chasing loss is the same as hoping for money. If this is applied to gambling, we will be trapped because the results of those expectations will not be real and that is true if we have actually become victims.

Setting a money limit while playing is very good because it makes us play consciously so that we can have fun in the game.
When you become a victim of gambling, it is difficult to return to a normal state.

Gamblers in pursuit of the loses in the system, thereby leading them to make more losses. We encounter experiences in the system, we just have to pray harder for these experiences to be good because I'm never turning back to repeat my mistakes in the system. The days we makes profits in the space, we give thanks to GOD and also applaud the game techniques we employ for the smooth running sof the system. Losses are generated in the system every single day. We just have to insured we don't surpassed our angles in gambling sectors.

Initially I had guessed that the response of my friends here would be to say that when we chase after our defeat, we will fall deeper and deeper. So it really does happen in the world of gambling, and the percentage is high. This means that many people have experienced this and we have to be careful before doing stupid things.

Yes, because this is a game of luck, so there is still a little belief for some people that chasing losses is possible. I once saw a streamer who initially lost $5000 in a game of plinko, but he added another $5000 deposit and managed to get a profit of $8000. He took home his $18k after playing plinko for quite a long time, maybe about 2 hours.

But once again, budgeting is important in gambling, so that you don't lose too much. In my opinion, the art of gambling is a little capital, win a lot. It is the art of gambling or betting.

I think the reason why you are chasing losses is because you are betting a large amount of money, and when you bet something and it is lost, it will make you frustrated and make you more eager to recover that money of yours. If you keep losing and all of your losses are stacking up, this will put you on a never-ending cycle since you want to recover all of your losses. When you are in a cycle, this will lead you to addiction, and as a gambler, you don't want that to happen. So, it is really advisable to not chase your losses since it will create more problems for you and it will be harder to gamble.

Chasing losses is doable if it is a small amount only. Since it is not big, you won't rush on recovering that money, and you will have more patience.

Gambling can have a bad effect on people and the problem is that people never realize that excessive gambling addiction can cause problems in their lives. Certain people gamble just for fun and even though they spend a lot of money, they spend the money according to the income they earn so that it does not affect their overall finances. Gambling is an activity that has been going on for a long time and rarely can people be held responsible for their excessive gambling.

Having a limited budget will make it much more difficult to handle gambling because everyone will have other responsibilities for the family. Moreover, if the monthly income is not balanced with expenses, it will be much more difficult when we are involved in gambling.

There's a big problem for a gambler that already engage that deep into gambling, addiction bring him not to think about any financial responsibilities, he just go all in thinking that he may satisfied his lust and desire on gambling but he will keep losing money as there's no control on him anymore, that's the sad part when you fall into addiction instead of having some fun you'll find yourself engaging and not to put any limitation, you'll keep chasing for your losses and keep adding more money in your bankroll.

Though, I also see your point for those who are just playing to kill some time and to enjoy the pleasure of gambling especially to those who have their limit budget and not exceeding, they just enjoy without any pressure to recover anything after playing.

They have a different thought towards gambling and whether you remind them or not for several times and they won't listen, that's already their fault when they become too much with gambling. The idea comes from the thought of chasing their losses and no one is there to understand them because it is their money that they've been chasing and no one will help them to take that money back but only them. Not until they realize that it is going nowhere and they're incurring more losses instead of recovery.
Everyone has different thoughts about gambling and more so for individual customers, however much we remind them that gambling will not be able to provide consistent profits. But for them this is not a problem because they have been influenced by something much bigger in gambling. Chasing defeat until you win can have an impact on subsequent losses because gambling prioritizes luck. What percentage of people manage to recover losses in gambling and are hardly much larger than subsequent losses.

Gambling can be handled differently for people who are just having fun than for people who are addicted. But it will be much more difficult for those who are addicted because they are unable to manage a budget for gambling. There is no way to recover losses in gambling and I think it is very difficult to get lucky streaks in gambling.

Easy to say "dont chase your loss" but in fact most gamblers are trying to recover their losses once they started a new session after loss.
On the opposite side, gamblers are trying to get more win in a new session after they make win in the previous session.
It is hard to forget our previous loss especially for frequent gambler who gamble regularly, but maybe it is not that hard for gamblers who gamble recreationally like once a month or once in few months.
I would prefer to say "gamble responsibly" in every gambling session, as long as our gambling habit will not affect our real life, doing both recovering losses and chasing more wins are not big issue.

Lossing money repeatedly in gambling, registers in the memory, and won't be erased. The more the player keeps experiencing the loss, he battles in those thoughts, about his lost money. And other things he would have done with the money. Players who give it a break and try to do other things, still remember their losses, not like a steady player. The behavior worsens on a daily occurrence. Compared to once a while period of gambling. Not all gamblers are comfortable with seasonal gambling, they follow the game, quickly, to win big. But the house only deals with them, by letting the player win, then sweep both his funds and wins away.

Since, it's a game between the player and the house, staying prepared in the maintenance and management aspect of the game is crucial. However, not everyone is aware of the dangers of gambling, they are naive and think it's an easy means of doubling money. That's why many gamblers not just the newbies, end up behaving this way, chasing loss. One can't give what he doesn't have. A player who doesn't know about a good gambling strategy wouldn't mind trying it. Hence, it shows, the gambler whether new or aged, has to know the precautions in gambling, before he can act accordingly to maintaining his funds.

Yes, it means that most gamblers are not responsible for their decision to engage in gambling activities so they do not have the ability to accept the fact of losing at the end of the session which in turn makes them take actions that are actually not recommended at all such as "chasing losses". On the other hand it is a fact that chasing a recovery for something you have already lost in gambling will only make you experience more losses, it is obvious because the reason is that there is absolutely no certainty that you can win at the end of the session, while on the other hand this is a business for casinos whose goal is to benefit the house and obviously when they try to chase wins in the next few sessions then losses usually dominate.

What you said is true and I fully agree with the statement that they are typical gamblers who find it difficult to accept and forget defeat, in my opinion from this action alone we can actually conclude that their intention and purpose of gambling is to make money so that when defeat occurs they are unable to accept reality. Therefore, it is always recommended to make gambling as nothing more than a recreational activity or playground when you are bored, gambling responsibly is highly recommended because no matter what, gambling is still a high-risk activity because what is feared is when you get carried away and fall into the wrong path, the point is that it is an absurd act if you put seriousness along with hope in a place that does not actually have any certainty and guarantee.

What is your opinion on this?
Well the case at most cases is that many of those who chase after a lose is as a result of some things like when they borrow money to gamble with or when they are already in high lose and wanting to recover from that,  and not being able to hold back and watch the loses slide away.

The best way to prevent such tension is to always keep in mind that gambling is a game of chances and while you are at that you should just take it as something to pass time and not make money from,  if you have such understanding,  it will be hard to see yourself taking a particular directions.

It will always be good to play in peace, that is, without any pressure, because in some way daring sometimes works, when you play with pressure things can go wrong because pressure makes things forced, for example if I am forced to win I'm going to be very stressed and because things won't turn out well for me because that's going to cause more discomfort in my life, I'm not willing to go to a casino just to be stressed, it's true that you go to a casino because you want to play and win, but you also have to accept the designs of the casino, and the home advantage, the luck in us as players and I go out that influences a lot, I have always said something, if I feel lucky I play, if not, it is It is better not to play because that same heaviness that one has, one can even lose and blame something as simple as that.

Sometimes these types of things can turn out to be very silly, or almost unimportant, but the details are what make the difference. Out of my own experience, one day I started playing dice in a casino, but I was upset, and when I lost I felt twice as upset, so I don't like that feeling, and since it didn't bother me, I didn't play again feeling angry or doing things to get out of trouble.

That insidious force turns pleasure into suffering, turning a game into a stress trap. You're right: playing peacefully is essential! Managing stress at the casino requires knowing the nature of decision-making under pressure

Mentioning the fallacy of playing under pressure highlights the magnificent illusion of control. Players enter the casino full of expectation, unaware that the dice have no regard for them. The instant you enter thinking you must win to beat the odds, you've lost. How come? Because pressure changes the experience, turning delight into desperation

Aren't the house advantage and luck constants? We forget that our best weapon is our game mindset, not luck. Your moment of enlightenment when rage quadrupled your loss teaches emotional intelligence and reminds us that our biggest enemy is frequently our thinking
