I never rely on telegram for some information. We have too many scammers and clones there. I just go through market tracker, people who are greedy will get caught.

One major thing here, it's not like I'm following any telegram channels just to get any money out of there, but I come here to make people aware of possible scams. I saw that yearn.finance didn't do any pre-sale, public sale, exchange sale, etc. meaning no sale happened ever and this is why everyone got excited watching a $3 coin touching some extraordinarily unbelievable highs of above $33k which is around 10,000x (that's more than a million in %).

Thank you for sharing this stuff!

A lot of people will probably use this two coins to scam people. As we all know that yearn finance I and II are being hyped in the market. Yesterday, I was looking for the telegram group of  yfII because I want to ride on their hype in binance. However, I did not see it. I just ride on a hype and move out my funds right now. I don`t want to fall in scheme because Y series coin might lead to a rich quick scheme which made as instant poor also.

Indeed, lately there have been so many scams on behalf of YFI, I sometimes receive messages like that but I ignore it. Because when someone you don't know asks you to send coins first with lure big profit then it is definitely deceptive. Keep playing it safe and avoid it.

Too many Y series lately, and all Y series projects have increased in price, that's what makes people trapped in the fraudulent scheme, people are too in a hurry to get money quickly, without thinking to research the project. behind that, there are also many other Y series following the trend of making the Y series project in the form of an airdrop.

scammers are on the loose. people should be vigilant these days and think again about this new hype as another series of ICOs way back in 2017. scammers everywhere trying their strategies to exploit these naive users. i dont really understand how this YFI achieved their very expensive price in the first place? if you look at their project, they have no product yet to offer so why the pump?

I saw the YFI fake airdrops on telegram and laughed so hard. How will someone in his/her widest dream believe they can get 0.1 YFI from airdrop, lol. I don't pity people who fall for such if it turns out to be a waste of time or scam. We should apply common sense before venturing any airdrop.

From what they have to offer, it is clear how the giveaway is very, very promising with a large prize. Isn't this suspicious? something that is done so easily and promises huge rewards is of course suspicious. And to prove this suspicion is to analyze it. Many scammers use this kind of ways, same, with the high rewards to attract many newbies or greedy people  Grin Grin
I agree with you, that don't be greedy just because you are attracted by a big reward, you will lose awareness and intelligence because you are deceived

Actually what are going to the crypto markets? Sometime I see about DeFi prokect. Now I am seeing the YFI/YFII. It's few months I much away from the altcoins market checks. Now seeing and feeling maybe I am missing something around altcoins market. Lol. It’s actually result of increasing scammers . They will just use the recent bull run trend project to make fool people. Just ignore them to visit those channels like this.

The truth is (based on my belief), this DeFi isn't what it's being hyped hard for and trust me, it'll definitely fall extremely bad amongst which, the worst one will be YFI only as it has surpassed BTC but for me, BTC will always hold the highest value, be it in terms of morale or price. These channels have got a new way in the form of DeFi hype which is why everyone's trying to get their hands on some coins which were never sold (YFI sale never happened as committed by its dev).

Same as YFIJ (Year Finance Junior) created for "Meme Token"

A few days ago they created the token and share the trade link on "Uniswap" also they add the liquidation to make confident for the a lot people to trade the token. After that's the token price reached around 0.5$-8$ and now they deleted the telegram group before they deleted the owner make some "Pin Message" do not trade the token ~LOL. Now they already gone, the token have 280 transaction and volume trade reached 50K USD.

A good amount for scam, anyone not learning from "Ethereum Token Rainbow and Bitconect on 2017".

Honestly, not just for YFII. There's also a scam bot scheme like this on other coins/tokens.

Fortunately, most of these bots are now ignored but since some Defi tokens are hype right now, it might mislead newbies that the airdrop is legit.

I suggest to newbies not to join any Telegram airdrop group itself to minimize the risk of being encountering a bot like that. Also, don't join any groups or if currently joined, exit to those groups that are now abandoned by their owner as these groups are full of spam posts that mostly scam.

Thank you for reminding us all of this death coin prank. The more often you encounter dirty projects like this, the better for us to find out and avoid them as quickly as possible. For me personally, any form of airdrop that requires sending ETH first is a SCAM project criterion.
understand that Airdrops are free coins and you don't have to bother paying because there are 2 possibilities for the Airdrop project.
1. lucky if you get paid (95%: NO)
2. can be traded (5%: YES)
The purpose of hunting for Airdrops tokens is to be PAID and not to PAY

besides those two projects, I also found people who spread other Y Series token airdrops who held fake airdrops, I don't know why lately many telegram bot devloper are trying their luck with this hype even though I think they are quite stupid considering that currently ethereum gas is very expensive and of course people must be thinking of sending some fees to their wallets.

Gas fee is high currently, and that's the only reason I thought to urge people about all this shit that's happening over telegram, so that they don't fall for these scams thinking that when gas fee is already high, might be the reason why these people are asking for some 0.005 Eth as fee in order to credit their so-called YFI tokens in our exchange wallets FOR FREE.  Grin

I hope to have given this information at the right time so if any noobs or newbies watch this thread, they may be saved from this. I know that mostly everyone's aware of these scams, but the gas fee currently is touching sky high records which recently made a few miners around half a million (truly, a jackpot for them) in fees in a single transaction.

There are so many of these fake airdrops and also if you see on Youtube there are also a lot of scammy crypto ads asking you to send ETH and other coins to get double the money and so many silly people who are either desperate and lazy for fast money or greedy, who are actually falling for these scams. Another big scam is uniswap listings that are coming out of nowhere. You need to check every listing to see is there a website, is there a team, is there locked liquidity, is there an audit. Without any of these things it is not worth buying into any shit coin just because it is listed on uniswap lol.

This is what I received in that group, I thought to check this out as I smelled some scam.

Everything was good, until they, in their group, started asking to send Eth and get back double the Eth.

Now, the shittiest part here, as you already know that gas fee is too high in the Eth network specifically for DeFi protocol, what these guys threw in the bot was hilarious! They sent me this:

Quote
1 SET YOUR WALLET
2 CHECK YOUR WALLET
3 SEND GAS FEE TO WITHDRAW 🦄

Then, when I gave my address, they showed me this:

Quote
yearn.finance (YFI):
🦄 My ETH Address
💹 Distribute in 09/03/2020
⛽ Send 0.005 Ethereum  to process your withdrawal.

0x0FBdbB563b1e951129D25b8CB13BD11219294865

◾ Users who caught taking only proof of others will be permanently banned

◾ Your Screen Shot of Deposit or Transaction hash 📸

TBH, I can clearly say these mofos are none from YFI's team and you won't get anything once you send them the Eth, so just don't fall for this! Wink

And the same shit is inside YFII's channel too but I'm not going to share it. Just don't fall for these coins, they're worth so high that it's common sense nobody would give them for free.
