It's okay to have high expectations because basically cryptocurrencies are speculative assets so it's natural that a lot of people have high hopes for cryptocurrencies as long as we invest with the right coin and apply the right strategy like investing with bitcoin for the long term and I think this is one the only right choice especially since so far bitcoin has proven to be able to make many bitcoin investors successful even though they have to hold their bitcoins for a little longer so they can sell at high prices when they reach a new ATH which usually occurs in a 4 year cycle after the bitcoin halving.

Learn and increase as much knowledge as possible from various existing sources.
Then we have to know and determine how we can take advantage of this cryptocurrency world in order to get maximum profit.
We must determine according to our current conditions and capabilities.
Set your limits and don't be greedy so you won't be too disappointed when you don't succeed or experience losses in the crypto world.

I think these words do not only apply to beginners but other members who have been in the crypto world for a long time must also reflect on these words. often people in the crypto world have expectations of getting rich in a short time without them figuring out the ins and outs of how to achieve that, in the end, they are trapped in greed. it's not easy to get rich from crypto, there are many stages that must be passed.

Do you think high expectations are good for crypto beginners?

actually high expectations are not so bad, and generally, expectations are everyone's fuel for hope, but some of these expectations fall into the toxic category. if beginners have high expectations of being rich in one night from crypto then they have toxic expectations but if a beginner has high expectations cryptocurrency can change their life then their expectations are very good.

Yeah, sure thing! Some people have made a ton of money with crypto, no doubt about it. But it is also important to remember that crypto can be a wild ride, with prices going up and down in a heartbeat. So if you are a beginner, getting your hopes up too high from the start could be a bad move. My advice is to do your homework and learn as much as you can about the risks and rewards before you invest. And don't treat crypto as a quick way to get rich - it is more of a long-term game. But remember, everything has its risks. No risk, no reward!

Crypto has definitely its own high risks so if you enter into crypto with high hopes that it can eventually give you a life changing profits instantly, that is certainly a wrong mindset. You don’t have to expect a lot especially if you are still a beginner since most newbies end up losing at first before they start making profits. They have to focus first on acquisition of knowledge and skills first before they start taking opportunities on how to be profitable with crypto. Only by then, it will be easier to them to avoid losses and maximize profiting.

I think word should be Don't be greedy, in the crypto industry. Because expectations are to be expected, and I  think expectations should be kept. I assumed you meant greed by high-expectations. Expectation can be held by those who have proper knowledge of trading, and greed is held by those who invest in the crypto industry to get more profit without having knowledge about trading. I have seen lots of people's who are thought that Investing in crypto currency can make you rich overnight. And I have seen more people who have faced huge losses by making such investments.
But at the end of the day risks and expectation both part of trading and there is a saying that no risk no gain , But that risk cannot be taken with a bunch of greed, you have to acquire proper knowledge and then take this risk.

Having high hopes has never been a problem in my opinion, infact if you are a crypto-currency enthusiast you would definitely have high hopes about Crypto-currency.

My problem is not with the high hopes but the problem is letting those hopes beclouds our sense of reasoning and research, have high hope of you want to but be realistic with facts and research.

Do you think high expectations are good for crypto beginners?

High hopes are great, but high expectations not so much. You shouldn't expect anything to be given to you, but you should be a believer in everything you do.

Those who throw money away without understanding the investment and believing in its success you're going to be scared easy and made to do whatever the ones that pull the strings want at the time. They can feed you false information, manipulate the price but all of this can be only done for a period of time because it costs them money. A person who understands the technology will not get distracted but a newbie with high expectations will and will get destroyed in this market.

If bitcoin be for me...
Must of us newbie forget to take in mind that these success stories and profits that some traders are making today in the crypto industry didn't happen out of no where. For behind those success stories are hardwork, self discipline to learn, time was spent and a lot of experience gained from losses upon losses. The bitter truth is some persons don't wants to go through all of these they just want to make it immediately but that's not how it works. For the crypto industry is not a get rich quick route.

We are all wired differently, some people do great things only when they have high expectations, it's like dreaming big toward your goals which can boost up your activities when investing, there is a big difference between someone who invested 100$ in bitcoin and someone who invested 1000$ in bitcoin, as you can see, their ROI can never be the same.

It is very good to have high expectations sometimes and as I've said, we are all different, when I have high expectations I always work harder to make the dream become a reality, hope this doesn't confuse anyone.

Your post is weirdly composed like a poem, OP but anyway on to your content.

No, just like any other things that people pursue. High expectations are most likely just going to end up in a disappointment so hold your expectations especially in dealing with money if you can or you must. To be honest, crypto are not really made primarily just for the sake of earning profits. They have their own use cases and that is why it gets that so-called "value" from the buyers or we call them - "investors".

Cryptocurrency investment can be a long-term game, and investors should not expect quick or guaranteed returns. It's essential to have a well-informed and rational investment strategy and to monitor the market carefully. As with any investment, there are no guarantees, and it's crucial to balance the potential risks and rewards to make informed decisions.

So don't put high expectation on it as a beginner, eventhough most beginners in crypto are interest in crypto because of placing high expectation to become rich fast but they will learn along with time.

People who get into Cryptocurrencies come with huge expectations. That they will do a lot from this digital platform. And most of the people are coming to these platforms by seeing the ads of various online platforms and the success of others. But don't expect too much here.  Because if you expect more from here, you will see later that you have faced a big loss. So it is not right to bring high expectations here by seeing the success of others or the attractive advertisements of online platforms.

Cryptocurrency has already created a positive perception among people where people are able to change their financial life very quickly. People's perception is getting stronger day by day. Many are coming to crypto without realizing it. Some are succeeding here and some are failing. However, expectations should not be high before investing. Maybe many of us know that many people here today have reached a better place in a very short time. But it is not that i will be successful in that sequence. Those who have the patience they will be successful. Another very common term associated with cryptocurrency is risk. Those who wait patiently with risk can become gainers.

Cryptocurrency technology that is increasingly developing is considered to be one of the investment instruments that can provide very fast profits. Interest in Cryptocurrency can't be stopped after seeing the success of other people getting unexpected profits.

Even though people already know the risks that can be posed in Cryptocurrency, this does not dampen their interest in investing in this investment instrument. For Newbies who are just setting foot in Cryptocurrency, start with a small capital first so that the risk of loss that you have to bear is also small. Never be tempted by the big profits that other people get, do it slowly and throw away thoughts of getting rich in an instant.

Not many will want to listen and stick to this advice until they suffer the heartbreak and financial losses caused by this high expectations. People think that it is all set and made once they invest in cryptocurrency and that with as little as $10 that they will become rich. Such mindset has made alot of them to hate anything cryptocurrency once they suffer defeat from such investment. We all should have a moderate expectations that is possible and not that type where you invest $10 and expect to make $10,000 from it.

Hello Leo! You can still win.
Apart from the cryptocurrency industry which is relatively new, in any other sectors, having high expectations is not encouraged.  This brings high expectations in newbies. It is the kind of testimonies the newbies were told that brings the high expectations like ×100 ×200.
Maybe they were told that bitcoin will make rich and that get rich quick idea will stick to their brains and that ushers in high expectations. If there is high expectations in success, there will also be high expectations in losses. Vice versa

This is related to the mindset you brought into the market. Having high expectations for the bitcoin market usually does not pan out, and this has hurt more people than making their dreams come true. Some people believe that if you've set a goal and are determined to achieve it, nothing should prevent you from abandoning it. If a large number of people have this mindset, more people will continue to endure market volatility and decline until their dream is realized.

Not everyone can make tons of money from crypto, many lost their savings and are under big loans by investing in crypto. It depends on the action you have taken towards cryptocurrency or bitcoin. You need to be wise and gain knowledge about bitcoin or cryptocurrency to succeed in crypto space.

Please read my reply again. I never said that everyone can make tons of money from crypto. Not sure why you chose to quote me.

Well said, all of the advice is very important because almost all newcomers to the crypto world have a very high expectation of making quick money from cryptocurrency, which is not the case, and some newcomers do not even care to get knowledge before starting their investment because they saw people making money from it.
Before beginning a Bitcoin investment, it is best to first gain a basic understanding of Bitcoin and how it works.

Do you think high expectations are good for crypto beginners?
Not only beginners but even people that are in the game don't have too many expectations because the Cryptocurrency market is not predictable.

Greed is the main thing that affects new investors because they don't want to take high risk and they are expecting too much profit which most times lead them to a complete loss of their total investment.

You'll be disappointed if you have absurdly high expectations, and this doesn't solely apply to cryptocurrencies but to life in general. Be realistic, and everything will turn out fine. The issue with cryptocurrencies is that media coverage made them look like a get-rich-quick scheme after portraying some early success stories. The truth is that there are people, even in this forum, who have made or are still making huge money through cryptocurrencies. However, chances are that the majority of us won't manage something like that, and this is where expectations fall through, which is why we need to be as realistic as possible to avoid feeling that disappointment.

I think a lot of people that are new to investing in crypto will think that it is easy way to get rich. Especially if the market is bullish and everything keeps rising and rising! We just always need to have a plan in mind when to buy and when to sell, but it is easier said than done.
It's perfectly fine to believe that there's money to be made; there's a high chance that even a newbie can earn if s/he buys now and simply waits a year or two. However, we need to distinguish that becoming rich and earning some side money are two completely different things. People who became millionaires had mined or bought coins at ridiculous prices, something that is no longer feasible. Even if the value triples now, you still won't be any closer to being rich by having $10,000–$20,000 in Bitcoin. You'll earn a decent amount, for sure, but it won't make you a millionaire. This era has passed, and some newbies are yet to comprehend that it's theoretically impossible to happen again.
