LOL!

This is a classic funny story in the cryptocurrency setting involving newbies. And I surmise this kind of story will be told over and over again for many years to come.

This is the nth time something like this happened in crypto. The first must have happened several years ago. But this will not be the last. And you will not be the last victim either.

The problem seems very simple. It is that many of us seem to have lost all sense of basic logic. You know, the miracle of the loaves and fishes does not happen in crypto.

Be careful,

I don't want anyone to fall into the trap like me. Don't invest in anyone who tells you. They will not pay you.

He first told me that I was a big investor and that newcomers would get their money back in four days. So I believe and invest 50$. He promised to pay me 550$ in four days. Shortly after investing in it, he said no. And lied in various ways.
This is indeed a serious advice as many scammers are willing to take advantage of any chance and opportunity to scam. I once fall victim of such scams but I observe it is due to greediness and looking for easy and quick money, so let's be vigilant and make use of our talent

First why are you believing telegram chat's Always go for a website where there is complete information about project.

Fake websites are also there so beware checkout there domains and what are they offering, instead of stupid things people are researching by getting wrong information from internet this is the main reason people getting scammed.

Scam will happen we can't remove it completely but we can minimise it's rate by spreading more and more awareness.

This is an old trick and I don't know why there are still people who will fall into this kind of trap.  There's a lot of them on social media offering service like this, like FaceBook and most especially in Telegram which is they keep sending you a message.

It's obviously a scam because it doubles your money, there's no investment like this and it will always end up losing your money.  Strangers or even your friends aren't to be trusted when it comes to investment when they approach through our social media account, always verify how they will generate profit to give it back to the investors.  Doubling money or crypto is always a scam, better to stay away from them.

Firstly I will advise you not to trust anybody you meet on social media, I believe there are lot's of good people but scammers all everywhere now which you can identify the real people and the scammers so don't trust anybody.
Secondly you don't have to give anybody money to invest for you and you will be expecting reward in return learn to invest yourself, ask the person what he will do with your money and then do thesame thing yourself. Pls we have to be very vigilant now because scammers are just at our tail and they are coming up with new strategies just to scam people in a daily basic, try and familiarize yourself with different crypto scam methods.

That's an obvious scam, someone who has background about avoiding scams would tell you that outrightly. But not all of us have that background  so that's why you've fell for it easily. It's a lesson for you to never deal with any stranger that will ask you to invest this amount and you'll earn 10x of that within less than a week, truly a too good to be true offer. Avoid anyone that will offer you with that return because it's totally a scam when you're about to get a return that's very intriguing and enticing.

So I believe and invest 50$. He promised to pay me 550$ in four days.

It was - by far - too good to be true. It had all the red flags... Sorry...
On the other hand, it's good that you made this topic. Somehow they are still too few if people keep falling for this kind of scams. So yep, I hope that as many newbies as possible read it.
And you... consider yourself lucky, since it was only 50$ you've lost, unpleasant but not a big amount... You've figured it up early, some lose thousands and then some even pay more to "unlock the funds" (a second, related scam).

You guys actually need to be very careful with does scammers. Don't let anyone deceive you by tell you when you invest 100$ you will get 1000$ just for  a week it all scam. Don't be too eager to make it in cryptocurrency it all depend on time, it will be better seeing your money growing or seeing it dieing than see nothing in your wallets. Once you understand cryptocurrency you will surely make it there but it is just a matter of time, once you are patient the little profit will be coming to you. Nobody will actually see where they can make huge profits and continue disturbing to invest in particular place.

Anything like monkey swear is a bull shit deal. If you don't know the guy or never had any transactions with him before then don't ever put your money. I'm sometime joins  pooling for private sale and so far the one I given my funds are all legit and able to give me back some tokens I bought during the period of distributions.

So sad, but $50 for lifelong knowledge. You do lose the money, but from here is the starting point of how you are careful when transacting with people you do not know. You're lucky to lose $50 now, than when you lost $500, $5000 or whatever.

And something must always be remembered is, no investment can promise you will get 10x in a few days. All kinds of investment offers that promise huge ROI, 99.99% are ponzi scams. if you are not losing today, when you are invest in higher amount, you will lose at this point.

$50 to get $550 in just four days? Hell no. This is obviously a scam. So sorry, you have been scammed. That is like 200% daily return, which is not possible in any legit business.
Which company, coin is giving such returns in four days unless it's scam shitcoin? Grin

I have came across many such scams but speaking bluntly this is your fault for really believing such fake investing promise that could give you 5x returns in just 4 days? How come you can trust him.He just claims to be big investor and without any proof and investigation you believed him in hope of earning more invested $50 and get scammed which is just obvious. This is what greed can derive us of and we need to be aware of this. The amount was not big although it could be for you but what if you have invested more? So take steps wisely in the market and this is the most common scam which can be easily avoided.

I don't want to be perceived as sounding mean but the truth has to be told – You deserved being scammed, OP. How on earth would you believe such ROI was possible if not that you allowed greed take over you? So, you think if such were possible, the dude won't go get a loan and do it himself and then return the loan within that short space of time? Come on dude, steer clear of such mouth watery investment promises for they aren't an inch real. Anyway, I believe you learnt your lessons from that.

Ridiculously high returns is usually a pointer to indicate that a certain investment  is dubious. OP has learnt an expensive lesson, truth is it could have cost a lot more than 50$. This should serve as another example to newbies and those aiming to get rich too quickly, there is no easy way to make money, and no investment that can yield you 200% increment in such short time except it is a shitcoin that you were lucky to invest in before a pump, otherwise i can't think of anything else.Be careful with your money and portfolio, always have the consciousness to think things and offers through thoroughly before involving yourself.

This is an old strategy to scam people by giving that kind of very seductive interest or profits by investing in them.
Believe me, most of all that kind of investment is a scam.
They will commonly scam newbies or greedy people that want a quick taking profit with big rates. But the ways are too impossible, too good to be true, or too seductive that it seems suspicious.

You can find this kind of scam on many platforms like social media (telegram, Twitter mostly), YouTube channels, and also other sites.
Never trust anyone that will help you multiply your money by investing in their platform, never!

This is not a loss OP. It is a means of teaching you a lesson. This new knowledge you acquired through the scam will help you a long way. Hopefully you will never lose money like this anymore. Anything that is too good to be true is likely a scam. Just be careful. Because the funds you send to people who tell you such a fantastic lie is irreversible.

That's very unfortunate but on the other hand the positive thing is OP gets a clear cut understanding of what scam is in 50$. If you get scammed in early part of your career with few bucks it gives you experience of how to save hundred or thousands of your dollars in later part of your trading career. just be careful, there is no shortcut of becoming rich in crypto.

So he promised you $ 550 for your $ 50? For what exactly? Did he convince you that he was some kind of successful trader or what?
This was an obvious indication that it was a scam; if he makes that much from just $50 in four days he wouldn't need your $50. I think, in many cases, it is just a matter of using common sense and logic to avoid such scams.

I don't know, but such a return is considered impossible, even from a professional person, and if he guarantees that he will get +100% profits, why not go to the bank and borrow sums, as the return from the inquiry will be sufficient to return the money.
In general, do not trust anyone who offers you free money on the Internet

We’ve seem stories of the kind hundreds of times, and clearly the proposal was a classic case of buying into a too good to be true type deal.

What I think would be interesting to read here is exactly why you believed the proposal to be feasible, and how you got in contact with that person in the first place. I’m not trying to dwell on the matter here, but rather to get insights as to why these types of deals are bought, from the horse’s mouth (so as to say).
