The thing is, people who post trash likes posting on trash topics. It's pretty much the best place for them to spam some replies(with the same level of trash quality) to get the required postcount for their bounties. That's why you see those trash posts having so much replies in less than an hour, compared to topics that are quite complicated for them(e.g. topics about BIP39 wallets, etc)

That is true, they use those topics to increase their number of posts for their bounty programs, so trashy posts go updated again. Those topics or questions usually just need a common sense to answer. Separating the newbies of course, but they should learn that before posting a new topic, they should have read first the rules and regulations in the forum.
I got used to report the trash topics to the moderator of the board and the mod can decide if the topic can be deleted because of various reasons (FUD, spam, scam, duplicate topic, spam megathread, etc...)
If every member would just report 10-15 trash topics per day, the forum will be much cleaner...
And also, spammers would realize there's  no need to open trash topics to post in it, because sooner or later these topics will get deleted and their post count won't increase...

Thanks for the advise and i want to add to that by saying when  we do reply trashy post we give room or space to more trashy posts to come in so staying silent makes them go off.Very nice one

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say. If there is a post that is of a troll like nature on this forum, the best way to make it go away is to simply not reply to it. Posts with a super unrealistic and or dumb title gets bumped back to the top when yo reply to it. I keep seeing posts that should have been dead months ago because people reply to it. Remember the people that want BTC to fail also post on this forum. When spreading FUD it's easy to start like 5-10 posts knowing that all of your positive replies will bump them all to the top.

Just looking out for us. Smiley

I think replying to it won't make any difference when Mods decide to shred it to the waste bin that won't be accessed by unauthorized people. I also don't agree that not all should be ignored because some might actually be relevant to the current situations instead of creating another thread to discuss the same thing all over again.

But there are some that dont worth dignifying with response and most times when I see replies running into several pages, I wonder what people were really penning down as response. Threads that would talk about bitcoin heading to $1k another one to $500 with same objective and same direction of discussion but at same time, some worth response because of the new people or those not mature enough in the industry to be neutral to news such as those and they might need those responses to solidify their stand against all odds. I have been there before so I know what its about.

I don't ever think why there are such people that doing FUD because I believe that if you're not interested and unlike one thing then it is better that you go and leave that things or place but in here they are doing FUD just to prove that they don't want this system which is very irritated to see because the I believe that the main reason why we are still in here is because we love this system and we are believe in here so if we don't want this system, well, it is simple as like this, stop doing or making non sense things and FUD and then go and leave this forum.

One Man's trash is another Man's treasure... right? Some people make very valuable contributions, but their grammar and

spelling might suck, so people label it as trash.  Roll Eyes  I have seen valid questions being shot down by some and serious

concerns being swept under the carpet or ignored. I look at every post as if I am a newbie, because newbies also join this

forum for answers to their questions.  Wink

Replying to a nonsense post was totally a waste of time. Many people here doesn't know about how to ask such question.

Yes! We should avoid the thrash post.  It's  irritating  to see here something  like that. If we avoid  or ignore thrash post it's  may in control.

We should learn to avoid such threads. If possible let us create new threads that will drown out those ones created by fudders and anti-crypto enthusiasts.

I completely agree that pure ignorace needs to be countered. The problem being you bring the topic back up to the top regardless of context. I honestly think in certain situations think it would be better to make a new post with facts and let the other thread pass lower.

Just a strategy to consider.

You cannot leave the FUD uncontested, because it will quickly escalate into more FUD. The people spreading the FUD wants us not to respond with the truth, so that the people reading that FUD, believe what they say. I always counter their FUD, with the facts, because I want them to fail.

The Shills and the FUDsters will just increase, if we give them a uncontested platform to spread their lies. This is our Bitcoin forum and we have to stand up to these lies that are being spread.  Wink

I think the best things to do with that which is posting with a non sense post or unrealistic is we need to reply on it, why? Because I think this is the right way to inform them that their post is not good and out of bound so in that way we can explain to them or we can give to them some advices on what they are going to do so for the next time that they will making post it became much quality and meaningful.

Thanks for the advice, am sure if most of us abide by these rules, bad posts won't get to the top. Let's get the best and interesting topics to the top instead by replying.

This rule was given by the moderator in the pinned topic, but it was not paid attention. Most of the junk topics are posted here by new members, and they are pushed up by you. it's really boring!

Really?  this is  good that i am inform about this because i am honestly bvery quick to response on those negative comments in defense to bitcoin because i have strong belief on it. So i kind of get easily pissed off when i read negative once but now i know that if i do im kind of helping them so i wont reply anymore.

But sometimes we need to discuss something outside of Bitcoin. If you are always talking about bitcoins, you feel bored, so I think we can discuss a few things beyond Bitcoin sometimes, such as the World Cup or NBA.
However, no matter what you discuss, it is not allowed to publish spams

off topic is more up[ to the moderator i'm talking about the FUD posts with no evidence haha.

Do not reply to trash postings if you do not want them to exist if we do not answer, they will automatically float and long lead no one will be able to see them as they were. forgetfulness by every body.

Yes there are a lot of trash post. Including the one which was made by a legendary member who is asking about 51% attack. He became a legendary member without knowing anything about it. That is absurd. And the mods deleted my post for lambasting the trash post.
