Then the OP needs to learn that their "joke" backfired and that they should refrain from such "jokes" unless they want to waste their own time and resources explaining themselves.
Didn't you really get the message of this thread? OP already explained in one of his posts that he wanted people to practise signed message verification and not to trust just based on what people says. I see this as a good method make people trying to verify bitcoin signed message. I don't think the joke backfired. It is simply that people didn't get the message and accusing him.

If you have to explain a "joke", then it wasn't funny.

OP: Move on and lock the thread.
Yeah, I agree. Nobody should tell a high IQ Jokes to kids.

Not only you, but many people didn't get what he was trying to do. These jokes are not for everyone.

I want to quote DireWolf14 here.

I hate it when I have to explain a joke...

The jokes of being Satoshi is no longer funny, between, impersonation is felony and people should stop messing around with the identity of Nakamoto. It could be risky, who knows what's after him that kept him anonymous for years. Additionally, coming out to unveil himself in an unorganized form is not the type of thing he'd want to do for himself and the community.
Impersonation is a strong charge you do understand that? Everyone ought to be careful with the system. Bitcoin have done a great good in the current station of our environment, we have watched and seen more progress of the project, we've also seen the bearing candles on the chart of bitcoin. Perhaps no room to panic for those that fully understand the pressing momentum of the space, how to handle and coped with things around. Satoshi Nakamoto, no one knows his whereabouts because he's been anonymous all these years, there's a strong and good reason behind him closing his identity thoroughly. The world we lived in today is no longer safe, it's been consider to be filled with cruelty and who knows the heart of men?

People are working with what he said, he said don’t trust, verify and it is been verified by many here that he is fake.

I don’t know what some people will even get by laying that they are Satoshi Nakamoto; what will be their benefits?

I want to quote DireWolf14 here.

I hate it when I have to explain a joke...  Most people do.

If you do not get humour, there is nothing to say. OP just trolled all of you guys. All he wanted to do was make people practice signed message verification. He already wrote the title that I do not trust; verify! This means he already suggested to you whether he is real or not. Once you verify and know that he is not Satoshi, you have done your job. If he would impersonate Satoshi, why would he say verify, knowing people won't be able to verify? You did not get the Joke. Not only you, but many people didn't get what he was trying to do. These jokes are not for everyone.

i created this thread to emphasize the title, not the satoshi.

I am surprise someone like lovemaysfamilis mentioned me as impersonate  Satoshi. Damn where is the brain.

I gifted you with a red flag because you tried to impersonate someone I believe made a big change in how we thought in our financial institutions as in the banks. I would love to hear from the original guy who holds this alt account and is trying to act smart by confusing the newbies who might think this might be the original Satoshi. If you have any issues then contact me by replying to my reply as I want to decimate you and the reason being you are a fake. I would love to see a new topic created by you on the reputation board about me as it will help me in going deep in your past  Grin Grin

you are too quickly making decisions mate.

Beginners in Bitcoin should be know how to verify information, and not too blindly tag me as an impersonator.

if you conceive the title, you will be verifying that sign message 1st.

don't be gullible about the information you have before verifying it.

In Bitcoin, we can easily verify someone by his private key. Not KYC, her habit of writing, language, IT skills, or anything that leads to him.

In Bitcoin, we can easily verify someone by his sign message. If he can't, then don't trust it, Just simple like that.

He should have tried to impersonate Craig Wright, maybe. There are some things you just can't keep joking about, especially when there are so many frauds out there claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
Craig Wright overdramatizes his stupidity. he did his stupidity for the sake of BSV.

Despite trying to convince people that he is a real satoshi, the reality is he can't sign messages, and that proves he is not.

I bring this word Not your key not your BTC - this is the applied science of bitcoin -

I am also bring word don't trust, verify on my profile.

Quote
'Don't Trust, Verify' is an idiom in Bitcoin meant to encourage you not to trust any claim you cannot verify yourself.

I am surprised how many people trying to accuse him of being fake Satoshi even though the thread title says don't trust, verify. Seems like someone telling a joke to the kindergarten students and they did not get the joke. I wasn't aware of this thread, I came from the reputation board to see how other peoples are reacting to this thread. It is hilarious that more then 50% people actually trying to prove that he is a fake Satoshi. Probably, I would think the same if I didn't see the thread in reputation board.

They have nothing to gain even if some people end up believing them because only Satoshi holds the remaining Bitcoin.

No matter what the OP will say, he will expose his account to risk because if he keeps lying he wil get tagged.

Nice sarcasm! A lot of people fell for this and assume you are one of the numerous people claiming to be Satoshi. Your post isn't hard to recognize as sarcasm by simply checking the signed message and the title, but the fact remain that a lot of us are fed up with people claiming to be Satoshi just to fuck around with garbage proofs. Anyways, I enjoyed the way you arranged the post which practically throw a lot of the people into confusion. Next time add some emojis so people can easily comprehend.

This got me laughing. Like serious, if OP claim to be the real Satoshi, OP would have used the real account and that would have properly justified his claim to be the real Satoshi.  Putting up fake bitcoin signed message here would make no sense but rather making things confusing for newbies who would come across this thread. Anyways, from all I have read through I can see that reputable members have already aired their view about it which is very educative as no one would easily fall for this trick by OP.

I will just assume it to be a joke for the time being as the replies are very much entertaining and funny as well  Grin Grin. If OP claims to be Satoshi, let OP sign in through the real Satoshi account registered on this platform and create a topic with it, only then will I see reasons not to doubt the genuineness of this post created here.

Is this inspired by the whole HBO Satoshi Reveal that happened a couple of days back Tongue

Is that you Todd or is it Craig Wright trying to get the message and identity verified  Tongue

If you have to do it, move some coins from your old wallets maybe you would win some sympathy support  Tongue

i created this thread to emphasize the title, not the satoshi.
Allow me to quote myself here:
This one stands out: it's a user who earned enough Merit to not be a shitposter. My first thought was another useless topic, but I think he's trying to make a point. Read the title: Don't Trust, Verify. That's like me telling you to download electrum.exe from my server, which I posted years ago.
@Charles-Tim who tagged him: I think you missed the point of his topic. It's not the best way while so many people claim the same BS, but I don't think he had bad intentions.
Haha, glad you get the real message. I even fell for it myself at first, thought it was just some kind of joke. If the message wasn’t clear enough, who knows, maybe we’d end up with another "The stupidest thread on bitcointalk."'- version 2.
