Are we could go a level higher.  What if it was Satoshi pretending to be Dorian pretending to be Satoshi pretending to be Dorian?

I called that Satoshiception. Cheesy Cheesy

On a serious note I think Satoshi was Hal Finney. Dorian is his neighbor, that's not a coincidence.

Of course it's a coincidence. Coincidences can happen you know. And he wasn't literally his neighbor but they lived relatively close. I'm sure you could find many others who live close too but that doesn't make them bitcoin satoshi.

Not, Hal Finney is not satoshi, read about he's story about bitcoin and he's life: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-and-me-hal-finney-155054

That possible but it doesn't have to be so necessarily. I've linked to the picture because people don't have a habit of opening links here. It would be nice if he was actually giving legit input though.

Whatever keeps the thread alive right? Looks like such speculations are going to persist.

You know for a moment there I thought you were trolling me
But then I checked the thread and realized that no trolling was required.
Good job to Dorians alt for making him a thread.

What happened to him? At one point he could barely string together a coherent review for cookies, now he's writing lengthy screeds.

the photo 'proof' was photoshopped

just like:

Of course it's fake, and yeah just like this photo of Bill Gates.
I'm wondering, why do people use Photoshop for such thing???

Who knows? Maybe it is not fake. Gill Gates is a great inventor. Maybe he want to remove the doubts from him and do such kind of things and then publish those for the public. The public see those and think like you and the author of the post quoted by you.

Who can boast that have a bigger imagination than mine?  Wink

thats weird, i thought that guy wasnt satoshi (the guy holding the sign from the reddit post proof), i thought he was someone named satoshi but not the guy that started bitcoin. isnt satoshi still anonymous?  Huh Huh

His real name is Satoshi. He is not our Satoshi. Or maybe that's what he wants you to think...

He's known to us for being the subject of an expose by a journalist who thought she'd tracked down Bitcoin's creator. That proved not to be the case and it ruined his day. He did get a sizeable BTC donation from the people to make up for it.
ohh i thought Dorian was someone related to the real satoshi and was using that picture as proof to show that the "real" satoshi knows him

It is easier for a person to write when you are left alone, with plenty of time to think what to write. That is why he seems like a different person.
There is also a possibility that there are indeed someone else writing answers for him, but that would be rather pointless imo.

Aw, man. I've heard of this deception stuff before. I disagree with it and hope it doesn't catch on.

Funny post. At the very least it help us to be entertained and furthers the Satoshi Nakamoto speculation.

Pretty confident he is not Satoshi but he's obviously a smart guy, and as a result of the whole Newsweek debacle it seems he's become a convert to btc. Hilarious. I think I like him as a spokesman... It's a great story... Someone in the btc sphere should hire this guy! He's great. Just a regular guy who got targeted by the system and found btc as a result!

At the very least, pay all his expenses to attend as many Bitcoin conferences as possible. The dude would be the most loved in attendance. Further, have him on as many panels as possible for if nothing else than as a fixture (no ill intent), where he may just offer up some unique insight on occasion.
