This Dota 2 "El Clasico" game brings back lots of memories.
I thought NaVi was going to win the 2nd game, but that bounty rune bait was epic. Alliance smoked and wait for Medusa to take the rune.
-snip-
Yeah, that should be a big lesson for Magical. It was too risky to take that rune while the other of his teammates are far away.

-snip-
I wish Alliance win this match tbh, especially S4 is still there.
Unfortunately, they're lost. Their performance in the playoffs isn't really good and doesn't look like a tier 1 team.

Puppey outsmarted VP.Polar yesterday. Feeling a bit sad for young VP roster tbh. They've got a future IMO but have to get more competitive exp as a team tbh.
That Grand Final was a disaster for VP Prodigy. Team Secret were stomping really hard and won 3-0. But VP Prodigy has an amazing start as a new team, so good luck further to them.

Anyway, congratulations to team secret for winning this tournament. I'm looking forward to seeing them in the next tournament.

I'm guessing that they'll pick the Bear of qojqva.
This guess of mine happened to Team Liquid's match against Virtus.Pro. Well, my favorite team has been out of the tournament and taking the 3rd place. While my other favorite is now waiting to the finals, Team Secret. Few minutes later, this is going to be the match of VP.Prodigy and Team Liquid. I can sense that Team Liquid can sweep VP.Prodigy too just like what they did to VP. And their match yesterday was continuous with two teams, Alliance and VP. That were 4 games straight for Team Liquid and usually those matches will make them tired and will decrease their performance but it didn't.

Alliance were dominating the first game but in the second game, they had a really bad situation where S4 was so bad and lost his lane so hard and then it gave a very big impact on the other lanes too.
Navi were leading the second game with a big networth gap and very farmed medusa but suddenly the Medusa threw the rapier and let Nikobaby's SF have it. Just with that Alliance turned things around and ended the game very quickly.

By the way for today:
Liquid (1.75) vs Alliance (2.01) should be a close match

-snip- it's the ex-Alliance versus the current Alliance with original member, s4. While for VP, they've eliminated NiP easily.
I have no idea who will win this match. Nikobaby is a very good carry, but S4 is very inconsistent so far.

Their last face to face match was won by Alliance, but the score was 2-1 and Liquid were still able to win 1 map with their Lone Druid pick. I think placing a bet on a +1.5 map handicap on any team is the best choice.
I'll avoid to bet on this match. I'm unsure because both were snowballing, beating good teams and then losing with inconsistency but that's part of the league. They win and lose but these two teams, I just can't rely on them unlike Team Secret and VP.
But, we will see how they will stomp each other within few hours before their game starts. I'll watch the live. I'm guessing that they'll pick the Bear of qojqva.

[May 9] Matches Result :

These matches were just showing how strong are the favored teams when they're doing their best in the playoffs/main stage.

[May 10] Matches Result :

Alliance were dominating the first game but in the second game, they had a really bad situation where S4 was so bad and lost his lane so hard and then it gave a very big impact on the other lanes too.

NIP had a big chance to win with their Meepo strategy in the first game but unfortunately Virtus Pro were able to hold with their great combo (Wukong Command + Supernova + Chronosphere) and won the game.
After that, Virtus Pro were just destroying them in the second game. NIP looks really strong with their meepo strategy but it's just not enough.

In the first game, I'm really impressed with the exp sacrifice from Puppey to let Nisha's ember have a high level very quickly and that brought a very big impact on their entire game. After that, Team Secret has a very big snowball (thanks to Bounty Hunter's track gold bonus) and then they won the first game with an unstoppable troll from Matumbaman.
In the second game, QOP is picked by Team Liquid. We know that QOP is a very good hero to win a lane but that hero has to win the early game so hard to be able to have a good game until late game. But qojqva was failed to do it and it made Team Liquid lost the second game too.

Are you still there guys? Surprisingly, VP.Prodigy is waiting on the upper bracket finals. And within two hours, Team Secret and Team Liquid will play for the slot of the UBF.
I'm a fan of Team Secret but Team Liquid is also doing good in this tournament. My other favorite team, VP is having their lower bracket R2 match against NiP and they have won the first game.
The second series of the semi finals is probably going to the distance since the last series ended 2-1 for Liquid in the group stage. It's good to see Team Liquid finally having some success I hope they win again since they've been getting bad results after they left Alliance. I like VP as well after the good run they in their last tournament they're starting to look like the old VP.
Team Secret won the first game and it's an easy game for them. I have a different impression for this current team Liquid. I think they are improving since they've left Alliance. They were able to become par with Tier 1 teams. My personal favorite player on their team is Boxi. He's versatile and consistent. And if Team Secret will send Team Liquid on the lower bracket, it's the ex-Alliance versus the current Alliance with original member, s4. While for VP, they've eliminated NiP easily.

[May 8] Playoffs Matches Result :

All of the matches have 2-0 scores here. It seems every team is starting to show their true strategy and power here.

The match of VP and Liquid was fascinating. The first game wasn't that close at the beginning but VP just got the moment to have a good comeback yet still lose. If you have watched how Liquid defended their bottom tower without their two cores, Dragonknight and Mars and both dead for 90 seconds you'll be amazed how they defended it and got the rapier from Terrorblade. I was screaming as I watch the clash and I really thought that's the end of the game but sadly, TB didn't have BKB because if he does, the game probably didn't went like that.

[May 6] Matches Result :

Nigma was stomped by Team Secret again. They were always out drafted by Team Secret. But the 2nd game has a very funny ending LOL  Grin
OG almost lose 0 - 2 against NIP but they managed to come back and won the second game, and after that, they also won the 3rd game more easily.

[May 7] Tiebreaker Match Result :

This is a very intense match and there were so many team fights. But Nigma were just doing better than OG.Seed.

OG is a flexible team and they can allow Sumail to play mid or carry but I guess Sumail's good in that position. The tournaments that we have right now doesn't even show the whole potential of the team. Because if these tournaments are just conducted on LAN, we'll see them stomp most of the teams. I'm worried of Team Nigma, they don't have a run for these past tournaments and also with the WePlay! Pushka. While with Virtus.Pro, I'm starting to like them as they're like the old VP that's always good with majors but questionable during the TI.
The quarterfinals matches are all set for tomorrow guys, Nigma and OG has been eliminated but Team Secret is still there with VP which I'm liking them now.
Very true, but there are also some teams that have performed very well in this tournament such as HellRaisers, Team Liquid, and Alliance.
Yes, can't agree more with that.

2nd game, Meepo is back Grin HR draft is much better this time. Let's watch it!
GGWP for HR and congrats to NiP.
Look at the draft of NiP. It didn't changed that much except with two heroes. They're taking seriously this playoffs and with my belief, whenever a team does this kind of drafting, they're badly showing how desperate they are to win.
NiP vs. Vp.Prodigy tomorrow on semis.

NiP vs HR game 1 was too one-sided. Supream's Meepo (11-0-7) was out of control and demolished HR pretty comfortably. I think HR made a mistake with picking Clinkz as their carry. They should choose a carry with some burst and escape mechanism other than going invisible because the opponent has BH. Secondly, HR doesn't have good (reliable) lockdown abilities overall.

LOL haha, the draft is almost the same. I didn't watch the 2nd game draft phase, in what order was meepo picked by NIP?
Supream is definitely a Meepo player, choosing meepo against those heroes is really brave especially if they're picking it 2 times in a row Shocked. And NIP team also certainly prepared this strategy well.

Although Elder Titan aghanim looks very powerful, NIP are still doing it again so far (8k networth lead). But HR will have a chance if they can hold until late game.

Pugna is still too strong even after the 7.26a nerf.
-snip-
Yess, the lower ultimate cooldown is really a big improvement on pugna. And that improvement also made pugna can become more flexible on his role (powerful nuker as core or great healer as support).

-snip-
New OG roster is OP but there are other team which are also good. -snip-
Lets see on which team would able to go forward.
But still, we have not been able to conclude how good the performance of OG with their current conditions because their roster is always changing. At least we know that they're really strong with their main roster (with MidOne as offline (and decent ping  Grin) and Topson as midlane).

-snip-
Unfortunately Sumail won't stay for long in OG he's only acting like a temporary replacement for ana since OG announced he'll be taking a one year break from playing competitive iirc.
This is a very interesting thing to look forward to because maybe it won't be just about shuffling players but also shuffling pos/roles again.
But the question is, will Ana return before TI10 starts? Since the TI10 has been postponed (I heard it will be postponed until 2021).

Feeling quite bullish about Nigma, Secret and Virtus Pro. These teams look insanely strong rn
Actually Nigma has a pretty bad record based on their recent matches and their last two tournaments (ESL One Los Angeles and this tournament).

-snip-
Anything can happen in Dota dude. VP and Team Nigma also won several small tournaments in 2020.

Better to predict one step, one game ahead.

I agree with you. As I've said many times, usually the group stage and the playoffs of a tournament will have different momentum and sometimes the teams that are on-fire in each stage are different.

Sumail carry? I think he will take the midlaner position as in the previous team, I think OG is trying to resuffle all their roster, trying the best game from each player, it is not impossible that the sumail position as a carry will be replaced if it is not effective for him in the long run.

I think Sumail is good as a carry, currently OG is mixing things up between their mid and safe lane because they had some success with it previously like the mid gyro and it could be a good strategy to trick the enemy team. Unfortunately Sumail won't stay for long in OG he's only acting like a temporary replacement for ana since OG announced he'll be taking a one year break from playing competitive iirc.

yes I also think so that they are trying to match the right position for all players, hmm I guess I always have a reason not to participate in any competition or tournament other than TI,
unfortunately also this year TI was postponed because of this pandemic.

Yep, he was "promoted" to position 1, mid to safe lane carry transition should be smooth for a player for his caliber. But this team is different OG because of the new rooster.

I think one of the team will win theis game is the VP or Team secret

I really didn't k ow that the match is continued already. I have been playing dota 2 for quite some time and I also watch the matches of pros like them. It seems team liquid is still good playing dota 2 but won't this be a bad thing for participants who are lagging when the game starts?.
Same organization but different team actually. Whole roster moved under Nigma tag.
