Right now, it is more accessible to downloading video, mp3, program or else using Download Manager because that software can directly download that thing. If you type "youtube downloader" in the search engine, you can get a bunch of the list that you can use to download a video from Youtube, a website downloader or software that will help you to download.
Correction mate , if i understand it right if you are referring to mp3 that means Music and if you will download Video then you must use mp4 instead?sorry if i understand it wrong but i am not really an internet video music guy lol.

Are you using the YouTube video downloader for chrome as a plug in in your browser? I am more of a Firefox guy, so I don't know if there is a bug difference between the two, but I would expect they are the same. My plug in works fine. Maybe it's just some setting issues for you. I would recommend to update chrome first and then uninstall and reinstall the download helper.

I agree music video youtube downloader without malware it is player free music multitasking it is much better when using instagram facebook games or any other application. YouTube free music with floating player and player lock mode and battery saver lets you listen to music without turning off your phone and saving energy. i think there is a github application called YouTube DLG, which is almost a universal downloader, which is proven virus-free and open source. which you paste the link of the video you wanna download and you are ready to go.

No i never used that. Again i only used youtube downloader program a while back but then stopped using it because it ask me to do update which i never did.
I want to use a program that for sure has no malware/keylogger on it. Whether its free or it cost money... i dont mind. But obviously not one that charges you a monthly fee etc.
Again i want to download songs/videos on youtube and put it on my laptop so i could play that music or watch videos while on my computer and on my iphone without relying on youtube etc. Like back then i downloaded lot of songs on youtube downloader and then converted it to right format and sent it to itunes on my windows computer to my iphone etc.

@jerry0, have you tried yt1s.com? I've used it to download YT videos without any issues or malware.
For songs, I go for ytmp3.cc. No software required, both are direct.

You can use Internet Download Manager to download songs/video from Youtube and other websites easily. The software is not free, but that is worth to have it for your download manager.
I do not use other software than IDM because that helps me to download from the sources.

Anyone else have opinion on this? So does the YTD Video Downloader still work now or not? Such as if i update it?
It's been a long time since I've used that website. But to know if that's working or not, you can have it a try. I cannot try it for now since I don't have videos to download.

It says to Download Airy YouTube Downloader but I am at my work now and cant install programs like this.

Or try to look for another music video that you also like to download into mp3/mp4. Don't download any software, only download the mp3/mp4 file that you're converting.

Any service where you can download a video/song, just google it. I often download lectures, videos and songs from YouTube.
I believe YouTube Nowadays has strict policy and system that happens in the videos downloaded their site.So in many cases we are safe in malware attack , Though i can feel OP because he posted this years back when malware attacking is really happening in many sides.
