First of all you should move this on gambling discussion board since this board is dedicated for contest and giveaway while the intention of your thread is a discussion for the potential service you suggested. It’s either gambling or gambling discussion is suitable this topic and you can get better response in there than here.

I find the website that you share as impressive to use as tournament place of the forum members since most of the tournaments here is related to predictions while the website offers various games that is fresh and interactive with players. It’s like a Y8 website before that has tons of mini games but this website offers a tournament which is good for sponsored tournaments.

My concern here is just casino will surely want an actual interaction to the casino in exchange for their sponsor.

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.
Hi there !

This topic is just a draft to see if it's worth starting something more seriously. I'm afraid this topic will be a big failure, but nevermind..

In life, I have 3 passions :
- BTC and cryptos
- Long and complicated contests (see here)
- And also board games

I was thinking that I must not be the only one (for the 3rd point). And why not make it a tournament on boardgamearena.com (BGA) with people from Bitcointalk ?
BGA is a site where you can play, for free, hundreds of board games : https://boardgamearena.com/gamelist. There are games for everyone. And you can organize tournaments, which are run by BGA itself.
But rather than having a tournament on one game, why not have "monthly" tournaments on different games over the year ? And at the end, a grand prize winner is declared. Yes, it's another 1 year long contest Smiley.
BGA lets you play in real time, but also in turn-based mode. The gaming experience is not as good in turn-based mode, but it's complicated to gather X number of people around the world at the same time. So games will be turn-based without too much time pressure.

Here's how I see the tournament going :
Day -30: Creation of a poll for participants to vote on the game(s) they want to play from a list of games.
D -15: Poll closed and tournament created on BGA (T1) on the game that won the poll. Registrations begin.
D 0: T1 begins. Poll created for 2nd tournament (T2).
D +15: T2 poll closed and T2 created.
D +x: End of T1.
D +30: T2 begins.
Etc...

Basically, each player will have 15 days to practice the game and become familiar with the interface.
Note that you will be playing games you don't know or don't like.

BGA offers several types of tournament formats :

Swiss system and round robin will be the preferred formats.

A ranking after each tournament is established and points awarded. Points are added for each of the 12 tournaments, and an overall ranking is established.

Who can register ?
- Anyone who is a Jr Member (?) or a Member (?) can participate.
- Having an account on BGA, it doesn't cost anything. You don't need a premium account.
- Possibility of joining the tournament on the way, but free of charge.

Registration fees ?
I see two options that will be possible at the same time :
- Free registration
- Paid registration (a small amount : 10-15$)
(Escrow required ?)

Rewards ?
I can put some BTC in the pot, but I'm not the biggest poster, so the amount won't be huge.
If you haven't paid your entry fee, you won't be able to claim the BTC reward.
If you have participated in the pot and are in the final top 3 of those who have paid, you will be eligible to receive your reward in BTC.

Whether you have paid or not, for each tournament, I can give a few merits to the top 3 (like 5, 3 and 1 merit).
Whether you have paid or not, I've been thinking about the idea of the final top 3 winners having a special badge on their profile (like a gold, silver and bronze meeple). Note that for the moment, it's just an idea, I haven't talked to Theymos or Cyrus about it.

Sponsor ?
If ever a sponsor is interested in this kind of tournament, don't hesitate to contact me (on this topic or PM).
Please note that you should contact BGA if you organize tournaments with money to be won. I don't know BGA's position on Bitcoin and I don't really intend to contact them. So on BGA, tournaments will be neutral (so no tournament name in the name of your casino/exchange or anything else). On bitcointalk, of course, no problem.

Now the big question is : are there enough interested people here for a boardgames tournament on BGA ? I think 12-15 or more people would be interesting. The more awesome it gets, the less complicated it's going to be.
So are you interested ? And if so, would you be willing to pay a small fee for registration ?

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
(It's not an April fool's joke Smiley)

(I'm just a BGA user for several years now, I don't get anything from BGA.)
