are they legit? i havent received any email  Undecided

Yup. I got paid back within about 5 minutes of replying to the email.

If you didn't get an email, write support through the site, they'll get back to you.

a) They told me 10-20 business days for wire transfer to refund my X2. When sending the money, it was 2 days. They just hijack the money.

b) With wire transfer the extra charges were excessive. Shipping at USD 300 while Bitmain charges USD 100 on the same route. The surchages for crypto were also > 5%.

c) Halong started SIA Mining with 500 B52 mid march and still have some 200 online (https://siamining.com/addresses/0104ceeee0c1335e6770b9e620baa87615e1780ea1a5e6bca2df2651c92313f9c3aa56865535). They had 1.8 TH for 10 days in march before delivering, accounting for > 10% of the network hashrate thus driving difficulty. This is not a test but collection a large pile of coins with miners paid by customers. Total > USD 300k in SIA just for this.

a) and b) are not professional, but c) is what many alledge Bitmain of doing: Mining while profitable at own account, shipping when difficulty is up.

You have receive your payement , because for me i never received payement , i waiting at the 10 may and after i contact halong, because its Myrig have make invoice for X2.

I also received a prompt refund so very happy with Halong Mining even though I did not receive the minder they made things right in extremely good time. Good think I did not order T1 as T2 out but price of all the miners will still drop I think so going to wait it out.

Yes just received. Too bad they cancelled, Innosilicon A8+ has same spec

Maybe because these are same machines, just with a different name brand on it.

Perhaps Innosilicon wanted to sell all the machines as A8+ s , and there were no units left for Halong Mining?  Roll Eyes

I think the design is different, A8+ is double barrel casing but same spec  Undecided

Trust me, Halong and Inno miners are the same.

We don't know if the Dragonmint was also actually two steel tube cases tied together as well.

I received an email from Halong Mining for DragonMint X1 order.

// Start //

Our valued customer,

As excited as we were to fulfill orders for X1 and X2 miners, unfortunately unforeseen issues arose in their production, which caused a significant delay in the manufacturing and shipment timeline. We understand that the mining difficulty would continue to raise sharply during the delay, which is why we are offering to refund your order in full.

For a refund, please reply to this email with your order number and Bitcoin (BTC) return wallet address. A specialist will contact you shortly to secure any additional identifying information if required.

In lieu of the above, you may reply to this email with a request to convert your order of an X Series miner into a B29, B52 or T1 miner at a discounted rate.

We want to thank you for putting your faith in us and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Richard Hogan

I ordered an X1, with not only the suspicion but the full assumption that Monero would fork. I was hoping that either ETN or TRTL wouldn't but I think both have at this point. *shrug* I'll figure out what to mine when it arrives I guess.

you are screwed anyway...coins that will not forked will get unprofitable by the asics switching from monero

well, yeah, that's why I got the cheapest one. I was basically buying an expensive space heater that would hopefully let me get a bunch of some random smaller coins...

I did the same. Ordered 3 space heaters. I hope they can make my house warm!!!!! Cheesy

Yup, my plan as well. I have an S5 in the living room that I turn on when it's too cold for the rigs to keep the house warm enough, figured this could go in the bedroom...

Actually  I will keep my 2 X1 in my growing room. I need my plants to stay hot!

Hahaha, I was LITERALLY just thinking about that earlier today. The lamps keep my plants pretty warm, though; however, I am now thinking of an outdoor greenhouse for other plants and just ducting the hot air into it...

I could use it also to heat my Iguana room. Not sure if she would enjoy the noise tho... hmmmmm....gonna ask her.

At that wattage they may not be that loud and/or workable with aftermarket fans, like the S5 is. Or you can use insulated ducts, that kills a ton of noise, and just keep the thing in a box or another room.
