Hello, I am new to the forum, but a long time Dragon’s Tale player. My in-game name is The1. I have been attempting to contact the DT devs over an account issue, but have yet to receive a response, so I’m hoping to get some help here. For over a week, whenever I attempt to log into DT, I receive the message “Your Character Has Been Banned” without any further detail. I have no idea if this decision was a mistake, if my account was hacked, or if I did something inappropriate to merit it.
As far as I’m aware, I haven’t behaved in any way that would lead to disciplinary action. I’ve been racking my brain over it, but can’t think of anything realistic. I did recently supply a few small BTM loans to players, some with the expectation of interest, but it’s hard to imagine this being objectionable. All transactions occurred and were always expected to occur in-game, so this wouldn’t have been construed as a means of circumventing the game’s deposit/withdrawal system, or anything of that sort. One of the difficulties with this speculation is that DT actually doesn’t oblige or prohibit any player behaviors in its TOS. Apart from a few specific items mentioned in-game, such as a prohibition on playing the Feather Tree with multiple accounts, the game has no rules.
I have previously written and used a macro to aid in playing the Dragon Painting game. As an exception to the general absence of rule clarity, macros have been explicitly sanctioned, under the specified conditions shown here:
https://i.imgur.com/k91owmw.jpgI have always taken care to respect these conditions, both while writing the macro (it’s a good deal slower than 1 click/sec) and while using it (I monitored the macro very closely, and always closed it when I slept, or needed to leave for any significant duration).
I haven’t exploited or found any glitches in DT that I can recall, at least none of monetary relevance. Occasionally one discovers him or herself spawned on some small, inaccessible island with no games, or walking on water, and I
have attempted to bookmark these anomalous locations for fun. And who hasn’t tried to climb to the out-of-reach Feather Tree on Cang to see if it’s playable? XD I do enjoy exploring the apparent boundaries of accessible land, I suppose, but I certainly couldn’t make a case that any of this warrants punishment.
As a matter of fact, my character’s reputation, as I've perceived it, has always been neutral-to-positive. I have never scammed anyone, or even been accused of doing so. Ditto for student farming (in fact, I’ve yet to accept any request to be a mentor, even though mentorship is something I’d love to pursue in the future, as I feel there are still too many games in DT of which my grasp is poor). I don’t beg, and I don’t run around shouting profanity or insulting people. That’s just not my personality.
While I appreciate that those able to help with this are probably very busy, I would be grateful for the relief of sorting this as soon as possible. I hope that my recent inactivity due to real life isn’t taken as a sign of indifference on my part. In the past, I have written a forum post introducing Dragon’s Tale on Entropia Planets, submitted and added Dragon’s Tale as a game on GameFAQs, and made an unanswered offer to pitch in a bit of my account’s BTM (when BTC/USD was much higher) toward implementing a Dragon’s Tale 2FA system. Of course, I’m not under any delusion that these efforts have been effective in positively impacting DT, but I hope they do serve as evidence that I truly love the game, and want to see it succeed and grow, and to be a part of its long-term future. I also have a nontrivial amount of BTM in my account (though not enough to buy a lambo anytime soon
), plus the cost, as well as the sentimental aspect, of having raised my avatar since the early days of Bitcoin. For these reasons, I eagerly look forward to clarifying and resolving whatever the underlying issue at play is. I am also slightly worried about my computer, in case my account is locked due to access from a suspicious IP address or something. My password is strong, but keylogging is always a concern. If the lock is disciplinary in nature, it would be very helpful to know the duration of the ban, and the specific reason, in order to avoid ending up in this situation again. And of course, if the lock is a simple mistake, I realize that these things happen, and regaining access to my account as soon as possible will be a perfectly satisfactory resolution.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!
