It's a little confusing if 1 USDT contract is equivalent to 0.01 ETH. May you guys should also clarify on the clear cut difference between this new USDT contract as compared to the old contracts we have been used to and what it's cons or pros are.
If we were to put 1 contract as 1USDT, then the price is no longer dependent on ETH which defeats the whole purpose. The value of ETH is changing according to the market. But 1 ETH will be too much, and not many people can afford to buy 1 ETH contract at a time. Hence, we break it down to 0.01 ETH per contract to make it more affordable for Traders
Inverse contracts are the contracts that often used by mainstream exchanges in the market, that is, users need to hold multiple currencies for corresponding contracts. It also has high risks and high volatility, which is extremely unfriendly to new users.
The new USDT Perpetual Contract is a linear contract. The margin used for linear contracts is USDT. Linear contracts are also known as the stablecoin contract, which uses USDT as a margin and settlement currency. In other words, with USDT, you can open contracts of different types and save you the trouble of managing multiple currencies. Another advantage of a linear contract is that it can avoid losses caused by market fluctuations.
