Yesterday, while playing in DEMO mode, I noticed that my balance slightly increased(it was easy to notice because it was ending with .99 before the increase). I was surprised because I was playing in demo mode, so I checked my transaction history, and here's what I saw there:

It's true, actually, but it is an incomplete statement. It should incorporate the second statement, "however, the big win doesn't guarantee you will end up in profit."Let's say you spent 1,500 spins and got no big win. In the next 1,500 spins, you might get it.
However, the total loss of 3,000 spins may or may not be compensated with the big win.
Sometimes you spent $100 and got a $200 hit, sometimes you spent $100 and get nothing (bad luck), etc.

You never have actually 50% odds if you have 50% chances to win. That is the whole problem. We will see that with sports betting but also with the casino in Roulette for example. Then it would be like 48.5%.

I have the same experience with you buddy, I played more than 2000 spins in this game and I had no luck to get great multiplier from the bonus round. I have experienced all the bonus mode, and my best was x250 from the Green Joker bonus. Red Joker is hard to get but anytime I got it, it gave me nothing lol. The thing is... they've been hitting lots of multipliers recently haha, honestly I'm jealous lol. Maybe I haven't found the best strategy or discipline, or whatever you might call it. Or probably it was on what slot we are choosing in the first place? I know its not always winning when it comes to slot, theres a lot of losses behind some of those huge wins.
