It followed by many especially those people who always discuss about politics but would agree to you that there are people doesn't follow this since some people have different like so they are out on this. But lets focus about those people who always like to bet also following the ongoing events on US since there are still many people trying to participate on excitement and they are there trying to add up some exciting feeling for casting their bets on their favorite candidate.

For sure these people discuss about betting on election know what they are doing that's why they rise up this topic in this thread since they want to see the response of people and now here there's a lot of people talk about those topic. Some want to test out their luck  and try to participate by betting since sometimes the feeling is different if we have bets placed compare to we are just a regular speculator.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you, on the grounds that you said gambling and politics have quite an open space for cheating, this is completely disagree with, and I will tell you why, one fact I know in gambling is that every gambler, or let me say that most gamblers will cheat if there was truly that open space as you said, but unfortunately, there is absolutely none, it's totally wrong to compare the level of fraud in politics to gambling, those who understand politics well know that no politician can be trusted, not even that one that seems to be loved by everyone, he or she still can not be trusted because, right from the beginning, the foundation of politics is built on lies and deceit, politics is a complete game of who got the balls to lie the most, steal the most, commit the highest fraud, do the highest wickedness, without getting caught.

In gambling, this case is completely different, why, because casinos have built their system well strong enough to discouraged gamblers from cheating, or trying to cheat the system even if it's in man's nature to try to cheat when the have the means, that means, is what lacks in gambling, casinos have not made any means available for people to cheat, but such means, is always available in politics, and this is what differentiates politics from gambling.

Regarding conspiracy theories and indications of fraud in elections, I think that will always happen. The reason is that those who cheat are people who want their own profit, they don't care about the future of other people or even the country because their target is personal gain.
I myself have seen a lot of fraud in "politics", although it cannot really be proven because it is very difficult, especialy if you don't have enough evidence to commit the fraud.
The "elites" will definitely move to win one of the candidates, because they have an interest in it, for example when that candidate wins it will be easier for them to have access to certain matters. So my point here is that cheating in gambling practices, be it sports gambling or politics, has quite open space.

Surveys only provide a misleading attitude for people and do not really have a big impact on the results of an election.

Not sure if betting like this is actually followed by many people in the world because not everyone wants to know more about politics, especially those who live outside the United States, although there are lots of bets everywhere about presidential election betting, for example, I'm not an American, I don't have one. I have a lot of knowledge about politics and presidential elections there so I won't force myself to bet on bets that I don't know about, maybe those who follow this are just FOMO.

The point is, never bet on what we don't know, it's better to gamble with bets that we know, after all, to make a profit, you don't have to bet on presidential election bets in the United States there, we can earn more than enough from sports betting and maybe much more. I understand that this is compared to the United States presidential election, but whoever is going to take part in the bets probably already understands the politics there so it's okay for them to take part, especially if they are from the United States.

In US I think we can see that less to happen since there are few candidates will run in the seat and they can't hardly execute that type of cheating since their law is so strict and anyone could be prosecuted.

Also case of SBF seems different and its like he have inside protection that's why maybe he escape and able to live outside of prison despite of his crimes done to a lot of people.

But anything related with such event is good to gamble since somehow this is big event which a lot of people in the world follow. Although no election is clean but I guess for what modern technology we have now for sure it help to lessen this kind of activity.

Rigging on election is different on sports but election is worst than sports when it comes to conspiracy. Vote buying and questionable campaign funds from criminals like SBF just to get a favor to the government once the official won is pretty famous on US election.

The only time US election seems clean is when there’s a majority among the candidates for president. But I really election will be easy for anyone since there’s a lot to gain if you win the president seat in the US. No election is clean because everyone is greedy to get the power.

You are not responsible for it though, specially if we are betting on USA president and not even from USA that means we do not even vote for it, so we are not really responsible for the result. Sure, the result has more importance than some silly game, but it doesn't matter that betting on it changes anything. As far as I know, betting would only make it more "fun" to watch for foreigners, and that way you get to make something from it.

You do not help with any decisions, best you could say would be that betting odds are decided based on who people bet on most and that decides on the expectations of people which is the best poll out there, because people spent money on that poll to answer basically, but aside from that we have no real power here.

Age is not a big concern only if you are not too old. Biden is very old now and it is his weakness in the coming President Election. If I am a voter, I will not vote for him. Trump is old too and if he is elected, he will end his presidency at the same age of Biden now. Just from appearances, Trump look to be stronger than Biden even the current President is more actively with physical activities than Trump.

Trump will be a favorite politician for USA. voters if they want to see better economy. His long career as a businessman and his first Presidency 8 years ago, are his big convincing proof that he will lead the USA. well at least in economy.

I read many news that USA. citizens are disappointed with Biden about economy and their income. It will be another weakness of Biden in the President Election against Trump. I believe it is only matter of time before Trump is an official representative of the Republic party for the election.

We can't bring the conspiracy theory here that is happening mostly on sports. Maybe sports could be rig, but this election? Not gonna happen as it's the nations future is at stake here, rigging for someone just to make a lot of money in risk of making a country struggle, doesn't make sense at all. We never know who would really win, just like when Trump as a huge underdog, people got surprise that he won, but that's official. now, as to choosing the president, it's entirely our personal choice and just like our interpretation on the bible, we have different.

These political bets are different things but I personally have many doubts, because now the candidate who is very popular is Trump, supposedly if Trump wins he will change the future of the USA and the first thing he is going to do According to him, as he said, is make a series of mass deportations of people who have entered with 2-year permits, with immigration permits that say  Biden, that is what I have seen in this case, now if we do not intend to weigh the things that Biden has done, I think that now he is doing and taking measures so that they can control Immigration, because he is talking with the government of Mexico to block this Group of immigrants from Various countries , because the USA already has many problems and Now with this they increase much more, then since the elections are now approaching because things will happen in different ways , things want to be Reversed and put a strong hand, then the Politics for me is partly dirty , Things are always done to benefit the same politicians , and that is not the idea.

That is in the case of the USA with the Politics and the elections that are coming, which is something that makes me doubt that a government like Biden's is going to repeat itself, I don't know. But I see a Trump very focused on what he wants , Polarization is something that We see in these Governments in an Impressive way, so when we see the political guidelines, I think that the events are not so easy or so clear and events that can occur , I am only seeing a panorama that I have seen from the distance of the Country , and that through social Networks , TV and everything I have to see, so Because of this things are quite strong, I could to think that when this election event approaches, it is quite good and that is what we should see, there is nothing to see but that, and making a bet right now is quite risky because I do not See a complete bias towards a particular Candidate .

Betting had no influence on the outcome on the US presidents election at all. Thr main question who will win it but that is a different discussion. I would never vote for Trump but is Biden a good alternative? The guy is 84 years old and didn’t really make a lot of impact this last 3 years…

I am confused, what is the danger of political betting?  Just like @shield32 stated, voting and betting are two different activities.  A person's vote affects the outcome of the election while political betting... I think it is the other way around.  The result of the election affects who will win the bet.  Regardless of the amount a person bets, it will never affect the result of the election and as far as I know in betting on who will win in the election, the future of the nation is not in stake but our money.

We are talking about bets, not about the votes. You might vote for Democrats but that doesn't mean they will certainly win. If I am sure that majority of people are voting for Trump but I support Biden, what's wrong if I bet on Trump and make some profit? Also, these political bets aren't meant for American citizens only, every people from every country can make a bet on them. I am not from America and I can't vote for either of them but I can bet on them online. My bet won't change the future of any nation, only those who have vote rights can change that. We are just outsiders who can bet like we bet on football matches.

Age is not a big concern on politics but rather the influence towards people. Biden has involved on a lot of controversy even his family that surely blemish his track record. I doubt that he can beat Trump again while the only reason Trump was lose against him is because they for him before and Trump is known for being racist.

But with current USA condition with inflation. I think Trump will give US a good boost again due to his good economic knowledge because he is a success businessman. Trump just needs to become more civilized to be appreciated again by the public. His silence in the past few years makes him missed by the public. 

Biden is actually too old to be president again and in my opinion it looks like Trump will win the bet now, I'm not from the United States but there is a lot of talk about the presidential election there, most of the voting results where I live mostly they choose Trump because he is a businessman much different from Biden who has caused too much chaos so far since his leadership and maybe not too many people really like him more than Trump.

But it also seems fun if there is betting on the presidential election and even that has never been popular in my country, most of the presidential elections that are added to the average gambling in large countries just don't apply to small countries that are not very popular or even not as well known as people know Trump. or Biden all over the world, of course not apart from the big country they live in. I'm sure that every country knows a lot about Trump and Biden, despite the controversies they often create and carry out, so that both of them are often featured in the media and watched all over the world.

I would think this is still a close fight since both of gentleman still have solid supporters and now maybe it will vary depends on how they can influence their voters. So I guess its really up for peoples hand now if they want to retain biden or they want Trump to take the set. And this is really interesting or maybe exciting to bet knowing that this two guys is really doing well in presidential poll but we can see here that Trump is leading.

Many don't like trump but for how Biden perform many people talk about the possibilities of trying the leadership of trump to see if they can see a good changes on their country.

The difference between sports betting and political betting is that when you are betting on the sports, you are betting on something that is inconsequential, whereas when you are betting on the political things, you are betting on something that will change years on a nation. Remember, even if the president of any nation doesn't do much, like he doesn't even run the nation to the ground, if he is not a nice person, that does tell our kids that you can be a bad person, because if the president is not nice, why should the kid be?
