I did a transfer from Dwolla > MtGox last week, the automated process said it failed.  Emailed Bitinstant, in one and a half days they had it rectified.  I am satisfied with the result, but it certainly was not instant.  It was not a large amount either.

Is the reason you didn't do Dwolla -> Mt. Gox directly due to Mt. Gox's verification requirement?     Otherwise, it is $0.25 per transaction, rather than a % of the amount transferred.

I used dwolla ONE time ever, and it wasn't even bitcoin related. It sucks, don't use it, waste of time.

You mind elaborating on that?  I'm preparing to use it with CampBX.com for BTC (so I have a jump point to get into LTC) - I'm just waiting on various ID/Bank verification stuff.

thanks for stopping back to let us know... so you would continue to use this service then?

Yes, I will keep using it in the future... My account has been validated at Mt. Gox, so I'll most likely use it for other services.

Glad to hear it worked out!

(And thanks for the $500 tip; I will keep that in mind.)

UPDATE: Well, I finally got an email from Seth... VERY nice guy.... It was my fault... Apparently I had to take my money and chunk it to $500 pieces and not just push thousands of dollars through for one transaction.

In the future... $500 chunks!

They took care of it for me and got it sorted out.

I had nearly the exact same issue yesterday (on the Dwolla end), and I emailed support and heard back from Seth at BitInstant immediately.  It took three emails back and forth, but Seth resolved the issue for me in 45 minutes.

You might want to post your issue on the BitInstant support thread as well as keep up emails to support.  Include your transaction IDs in the posts and emails; I'm sure it helps them process your issue faster.  And be nice; these guys are working hard.

Am I being ignored?

They had a half-week outage following a security breach and then a burst of activity, so it is reasonable to conclude they are backlogged.  They are not likely scanning the forums for new threads, so you might have better luck putting your inquiry in the thread that they do monitor:

Official BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support)

I do see reports there of people getting their service inquiry addressed.

"BitInstant - Time is money" - "Pay for Your Bitcoins in Under an Hour"

I've been trying to contact BitInstant for over two hours now (Well within their business hours). In the past they have been awesome, I just shoot an email and they take care of it...

Anyways... I tried to email them early this morning, also I PM'd Yankee twice. I saw him get online and make a post for someone else to process their order, but I didn't get any response... Nothing... Am I being ignored?

I pay a premium for speed, and at this rate, I should have just went from Dwolla -> Mt Gox. because this is absurd.

Other people have posted, and they get a response, so I think I'll do the same and post here, and see if I get my response.

Order failed - please contact [email protected]
