Nothing in this world is going to be free, and if someone advertises that something is free YOU'RE going to be the person that people are going to making money off of. Look at faucets, the people that use those end up being targeted for some weird anonymous ads and such. That means that you're being used for the profit of the company and to make the site itself profitable.

Only way to earn bitcoins would be to work for them, join a signature campaign, sell something in services on the forum that people are interested in, faucets really don't make much money on here so your best bet would probably be to attempt to do some sort of service for money on here.

There is no such a thing as free bitcoin, since every satoshi being mined requires electricity...

"Free" it's a relative definition. There are no absolutely free things in this world. To produce something we need resources, but for those, who open faucet and claim satoshies, the only resource they need is time. They don't spend electricity, so for those people there are free bitcoins.

Yes! I definitely agree with this. You only think that you are earning free bitcoin in faucets but in reality is that you will invest also. You are investing your time and effort which i think are not worth it. If you have a good skills, why not use it to earn more Bitcoin rather than to waste your time and effort in faucets?

Does... Anyone notice that this thread was posted in 2011, and had about 8 posts unit, and then died? Some retarded spammer posted and now there are pages upon pages...

The thread was started in 2011, but there are still a lot of people who are interested in earning free bitcoin. As for me it means to earn bitcoin without investments. It is right that faucets are wasting time, but if the time is the only thing that you have and desire to work or learn doesn't exist, than this type of wasting time may not be the worst.
the above friend is saying about the thread and about the users who spamming in it. but you are also write, I've started my bitcoin journey from faucets, I've learnt a lot of things from them and now I am able to earn good profit from bitcoin.. faucets are useless in bases of earning but good in bases of learning.

Faucets are the basic motivation to get into bitcoins and try to know and explore more about bitcoins as it is the primary source of getting bitcoins but after knowing different methods of earning bitcoins no one will prefer to spend time on faucets sites as in the same time you can earn more bitcoins if you have concrete ways of earning them.
Wrong, faucets are putting unnecessary load on the network, time for faucet claiming has past already, they were useful when there were not enough transactions for miners to include in blocks and effectively mine bitcoin but now they are more like spam flooding mempool.
There is no such a thing as free bitcoin, since every satoshi being mined requires electricity, it's more like donating but is it really donating if you are still opening a site solving a captcha to receive a few sats?

After the slippery slide downhill this past week, I have been looking for ways to "earn" Bitcoins.

I'm looking for feedback on this website: http://www.freebitcoins.org > is it quite a new site or has been around for a while?
I joined up today but there doesn't seem to be many offers to complete, although if you do them every day then I'm sure some bitcents will build up rapidly. The ways to earn Bitcoins are just like the usual surveys to win electronic goods, sometimes very long and tiring but there are ways to skip pages rather than having to fill them all out.

What other ways are there to earn Bitcoins? The pyramid schemes, now they just all sound dodgy to me. I have tested one out this afternoon, but I did make a little mistake of not viewing my profile and sending btc to member#1 instead, argh! Will see how that goes, just like bitcoin kamikazee, you have to spend btc to earn it, but I don't think pyramid is a gamble like kamikazee.

I would be interested in reading other peoples experiences with earning bitcoins in this way, thanks! Smiley

Note: I have not used referral links in my post.

I am a Newbie in this forum but I have tried earning free bitcoins through signing up in faucet sites given to me by my friend. Looking out on the generation of free satoshi was great and exciting but I ended up wasting my time because the site was a scam. I am not saying that all the sites that gives and let you earn free bitcoins are all scam but I would suggest to find trusted sites and earn free bitcoins with caution. Smiley

If you are looking for free bitcoins in higher amount then no sites will pay you in real as there are many good faucets sites that pays you on regular basis but the payouts are too low and won't satisfy you and at the end of the day you will find that you have wasted your valuable time in claiming few of them.

Currently, the best btc acquisition method is signature campaigns. The faucet sites are really a waste of time. At first I was trying to win btc by decrypting captcha. But I realized that my time was wasted. In signing campaigns, both bitcoin knowledge and btc have been increased.
Soon signature campaigns will go the way of the doe doe.
These people will see there is a better way to get traffic for their campaigns another way.
Steem it perhaps.

How do you know the advertisers are not satisfied with advertising their products or company through signature campaigns? You may want to know that people advertise in hope that few of those that come in contact with the advert, would be interested. Some others might become interested in later days or even be the one to pass the information to other people.

What is doe doe?

As far as I know, signature campaigns gave better wages at first. Charges on signature campaigns are now very low.
If so, people will give up signing up for signature campaigns.
An extinct bird.
This forum will need to do any with them if it wants to evolve into something bigger and have their members of it earn more with a more advanced way of doing something for putting a little bitcoin in your wallets. Cheesy

You can make it worth your time if you multi task with this Smiley,  like claiming faucets whenever you have idle time, like for example a break in doing bounty tasks, or every after posting, I have read some argument in my local board though both have points but the one saying saving your faucet earning may cost a fortune in the future years.  Reminds me of some thread way back 2010 or earlier that claiming faucet can give you a whole of BTC, and that time it was worthless but now how much is that worthless amount back that day.

I'm not against faucets but nowadays it is really a waste of time instead you have a lot of referrals working for you. If you have 1000+ referrals and 3 or 4 good paying faucet sites such as freebitcoin or moonbitcoin, you can relax and easily earn 0.01 and more per month. Better option is ptp sites as it allows you to earn passively. But all depends what are you doing with your earned satoshis. If you invest them into trading or lending, you can get much more and increase your earnings in upcoming months. Compounding is very strong method to increase your holdings in BTC. So, I would say that all methods are legit but:
1. Faucets are time consuming and tiny earnings;
2. Ptc sites - free of work method but earnings are small as well;
3. Signature campaigns - you need skills, ranking and hard to work to get your payments;
4. Trading - you need knowledge how to trade successfully, strong risk management, experience and luck;
5. Investing - you must have solid capital to earn just from it passively.

To sum up, the best method for me is compounding all my monthly incomes and put them into a trade. When you will reach 3-5 BTC balance (it takes not one month), you can put them into lending and get passive income. The more you have, the more you earn  Smiley
I extremely agree with that the faucet is a really waste of time, then you gonna make not a single dollar a day, it is not that equal then J and yeah PTP is more good than faucet but you have to work on that too but easy waiting than faucet.
To make things simple, you won't get anything good when you expect something for free. Do you expect to be rich in faucet without even bothering posting your referral link? Or you expect a campaign manager to pay you for your effortless or non-sensible posts? Of course not in order to get paid you must show you are willing to earn that money. You must show the skill needed to do it.

I completely agree with your opinion.There are such of ways you can earn some or penny bitcoin but ultimately nothing good come out if you don't enough skill person.You never and ever expect wonna rich or good amount this free methods,better focus yourself and learn something effective  interesting content what have good priority.

Well faucets are still free. I cant really feel bad about those 15 seconds spent every hour to collect them. And there is always a chance to win more then just 200 satoshi. I dont know how much I really collected on faucets, sure its micro earning, but when I say its "free" I really mean it. Unlike signature campaign where you really get much more, but also takes more time and effort, not all can do it, unlike faucet.

I don't agree! Only purpose of faucets was to promote cryptocurrencies among people. They can't be considered as stable mean of earning. You said 200 satoshis per hour which is around 4800 satoshis if you claim all around the clock. Now tell me is there any good to earn $0.04 a day!!
Better go for faucet blogging and get refs to your link. It is relatively better earning!

Bitcoin faucets are the source of free bitcoins which had appeared the first. Initially, faucets were created to promote the cryptocurrency, in particular Bitcoin. Enterprising website owners have adopted this idea and saw bitcoin faucets is a great opportunity for earnings. Enough to create a small website to run a script, to advertise, to invest the small money and share the income from display advertising with site visitors. Everyone is happy and everyone with income! And if we assume that the dynamics of the bitcoin exchange rate over time is only growth, as it is not affected by inflation and the control of governments that may accumulated your first bitcoin and leaving his children or grandchildren, You will be able to provide him with, say, education or housing. It all depends on how big the spread will get cryptocurrencies and how they will be able to change our world.

Well with time, you would get to know better! Faucets are okay as entry point into the cryptocurrency world, but subsequently a person needs to move on to more effective ways for gathering the coins, otherwise it would be difficult justifying the time spent online as those dust may not even be enough to pay for internet subscription, much more put something in your pocket. Time must be seen as money otherwise, one is simply missing the point.

Dont worry, I know that, but topic is for "free" bitcoins. We can then draw the line and say there is no free anything, so does bitcoin.
1. I buy bitcoin with what I earn on regular job - it's not free, I put my time and knowledge into it
2. Trading with altcoins - takes some time, knowledge, luck and starting capital
3. Gambling - basically same as trading, I play only BJ, earning on average 2-3$ a day, cause I play "safe"
4. Signature campaign - takes time and effort
5. Faucets - only time
