Ok so I know using CC and paypal are no no's for sellers because of scammers.

So what about for us new/low feedback people? Is moneypak/sending it first the easiest and no hassle way to deal with another member (that's trustworthy)?

How does moneypak work anyways? I know I buy a $5 card thing, put money in it and how do I send it to the seller? What are the ways to help ensure I don't get scammed?

coinbase.com would be best right now....

Not if you do not live in USA.

Free faucet, go google for Free Bitcoin.

I guess the OP is asking for easiest way to buy bitcoin, rather than to get free bitcoin.

All wrong. Easiest way is virwox.com. You can deposit funds via various methods including Credit card. I have used it at least 20 times and is the fastest way I know to get btc. The only drawback is some fees as you have to convert from USD -> SLL -> BTC. But speedwise it kicks ass!As you can see I'm not very patient Smiley

I have had luck using coinvisitor. You just load a moneypak card and plug the numbers into the site. I have yet to determine their hours of operation so be prepared to wait a couple hours. Also, moneypaks need to be purchased with cash so hit up an atm before buying one. Good luck!

If you're interested in BTC as well as other coins like LTC or PPC, use Coin Market - https://www.coinmkt.com/

Easy to get USD in & out, and the ID verification takes only a few minutes.

Check out OTC (over the counter). Used in tandem with the WoT you can make reasonable calls about who to trade with.

If you are searching for a method of payment that will guarantee against being scammed, there isn't one. The best guarantee is to either conduct the transaction in person with the seller or deal through a company that has a good reputation.  Each option entails an additional cost so you will need to decide what you are willing to pay for your coins: loss of privacy or higher dollar amount plus time spent.  If you must transact with a person remotely, use an escrow service. In the near future another option might be Coinsigner or something similar.

Yes, with LocalBitcoins.com, the seller has the Bitcoins automatically escrowed by the LB.com system. Once your payment is marked received, the Bitcoins are released. If there's any issues they will step in. There's really no way to cheat the system that I can see. Just save your receipts.

Alright thanks! I was under the impression lbc was only for meet ups haha

what's the easiest way to pay? moneypak or meet in person?

Cash deposit to bank, its towards the middle-bottom of the page.

Am I protected from scammers this way? so if I have a receipt showing the deposit I can be protected?
