Why not just ask for a username instead?

I suppose we could.  8000 users and nobody's complained yet Tongue

Again, nothing's stopping you from entering TiagoTiago in the name field Smiley

iWantFreeBitCoins.com only requires a username and password.  Optionally you can put your email in, which you can then use to recover your password, your call.

tried to create an account twice and it doesnt let me log in!

That seems very strange.. send us an email and we'll sort it out ASAP!

Why do you need my full name?

That's what I'll call you in case I need to email you (for instance, in the case of you entering a wrong bitcoin address and requesting a payout).

If you're paranoid, enter a fake name.  We'll never know.

It also helps to identify users who email support from a different email address than the one they use for their account and forget to tell us their account email address.  I can just look them up by name and sort the issue out without the need for an extra email.

Not that much really. My standard desktop makes me about a dollar a day (~0.08 BTC) just mining in the background. Doesn't sound like much but that's still an extra $30 a month.
I had heard there wasn't any use even trying to mine without a GPU rig.

Can you give a brief rundown of your setup?  Windows / Linux? Pooled / standalone? GPU / CPU?

iWantFreeBitCoins.com just cashed outs its first user Smiley Big moment haha.

0.5556 BitCoins for one lucky user.  Looks someone else just got 0.26 BtC.

No one is really using the referral program yet tho, which I though would be the big hit since it earns 25%.

Don't those sites need you to spend money on a third-party to earn a fraction of what you spent back?

Our site doesn't ask you to spend a dime -- instead, you spend time filling out surveys (and other offers) and you get paid for it.  They're all free to do Smiley

Mining requires a rig.  An investment in hardware and the time required to actually get it together.

Easy way to earn bitcoins? I found this little site, you can complete little offers to earn some extra  btc. I'm sure everybody already knows about it lol  Roll Eyes

http://www.freebitcoins.org/7659

You'll want to be careful everyone because this site could just as easily be a scam or lead you to downloading a trojan that would steal your Bitpoints.

Nope, not a scam..thousands of happy users, and we don't ask you to download anything. But it's true that everyone should be careful Wink

Lots of my friends tried this and they said its a great site to earn coins.

surely mining isn't worth setting up now?  I've seen many people selling mining rigs they bought hoping to make some cash!

Keep an eye on the forums, every now and then someone offers to pay a little bit for somthing simple like advertising their site on your signature or telling a joke or somthing like that, and don't forget places like the Faucet (is it open again?)
