A good alternative to Imgur is ImgBB, I have used it on both PC and smartphone and it works perfectly fine, apart from the part that it shows a lot of advertisement but that should bother anyone since they are using the free service and they don't open automatically unless someone deliberately clicks on them.

To OP, what if someone doesn't use Telegram? I don't think that someone will first create an account on Telegram only to use this bot to get quick links for their posts. It's probably better if there is a website that is easy to use and quick, just like the one I provided above.

Finally, a sensible answer to the topic among the stupid answers of people who can't even understand the meaning of the problem and throw useless links.

Maybe you should first learn how to post pictures of the appropriate size on the forum, because not everyone has super fast or unlimited internet. Quick and simple is not always the best, although I don't see how the few seconds I would save like this will help me in life...

Even easier:

Here is my prototype, uploaded to gist because Cloudflare was blocking me: https://gist.github.com/ninjastic/377880cea83c6fed96b94e5dbe258dd5

It adds an imgur button that uploads your local file and appends the url inside a img tag.

(image uploaded and inserted through the script itself)

edit: Instructions are here if you want to upload the images to your imgur account.

A great and easy.
Excellent ability to understand the problem of the forum, and to program its solution, as with your other developments. Thank you!

Hello, in order to insert an image into your post, you must first upload it to the hosting. Sometimes it can be inconvenient, especially from a smartphone. I suggest to use a @Free_Image_Hosting_bot in telegram.
You just need to upload image hare, and after 1 second you will get a link.
I don't try the bot but does it provide BBcode link after you upload your images there?

Are you sure that a Telegram bot is more convenient than a website? It depends on each person and some people don't have Telegram account and don't use it so with them, a Telegram bot is not convenient.

Some websites for image uploading

Additionally, there are some tricks to add images via BBcode in the forum.

imgur or imgbb inconvenient to use from a smartphone
This is true for imgur which I have used on both mobile and PC. It's a pain to use on mobile and you have to register an account to be able to upload the images on their platform. It works very fine on PC as opposed to mobile.
this used to be a problem for me until I found out about the "desktop site" feature on browsers. try enabling the "desktop site" on your mobile browser, as far as I know, mobile browsers have this feature(or at least the ones that I use on my mobile), and it solves that problem for me.

I have been using Imgur for years now and it's the best in the industry for free images to post on social media(s) and forums. I see you suggested something different however it requires similar steps:

1. Open telegram channel
2. Paste your image
3. Copy the image URL

That's the same steps which are used to upload on any image hosting website. No difference at all. Cheesy

LOL I see it is the same process. There I have to upload the image to telegram bot to get the link. While the process I use or most of the forum members use is uploading image to imgur it is exactly the same. I don't see your way is easy or convenient way to upload image on the forum.

Your suggestion of a telegram bot could turn away those who consider telegram to be a bit too intrusive to use and would rather stick to the known sites which allow one access to bbcode images without registering.
Boss I don't think for Imgur you need to register an account to use it, since I have used their services on one or two accessions without haven't to register an account and I used a smartphone for it the two times I have used incur for image hosting.

I don't know about other image hosting site and their mobile usage friendly but I will prefer to use the most recognized and familiar photo hosting sites instead of trying out some new ones which have no significant and clear difference or upgrade to what we already have existing here.

It seems like it's easier for Android users. But, do you think the bot can keep the images forever?  Huh
I'm worried that if the developer deletes an image after some time, it could mess up our posts and make them incomplete when we revisit them after the image is gone.
One of the things I despise about Telegram bots is that their services sometimes stop without any prior notice. This means that their service could shut down at any time.
IMO, this method is convenient but uncomfortable for the long term.

No much difference between using your recommended telegram image hosting bot and the imgur or imgbb.
Using the imgbb within seconds your full Bbcodes image is ready and then you are sure nobody is going to deactivate any bot anywhere.

oh shit, it's already done

You didn't understand the topic. It's about the advice of the fast and convenient service, not about how to publish img. Obviously I know how to do it.

OP, the two ways are the same thing, the most important thing is that you image link will be provided and from there you are good to go.

The forum has enough topics on this, which has been spotted out by LeGaulois. Though, it is fun to discover some thing new,I see the anxiety in you. The newbies might not understand yours and can mislead them,so it is better they use the information in the forum for proper guide.

This is not an advertisement, and I am not the creator of the bot. Therefore, I advise you to upload images without confidential information. Nevertheless, this method is very convenient.
