Yea, I find it strange people just don't mine their money back then sell it on or just mine till they made a nice amount. Most of them are scams.

The fact that someone has put it on ebay rather than using it to mine coins is making me worry of the potential for scam

That's why eBay / PayPal don't like BTC, no chance of them controlling your funds and refunding buyers if the deal goes wrong.

It really is sad to see how many scammers have popped up in the world of bitcoin. I guess that this just comes with the pseudo-anonymity of the currency. *sigh*

Yea, the only time I would buy one is if I used a escrow service.

Totally, I don't get how people can buy stuff with btcs without escrow.

Nobody knows when BFL will start shipping ASICS. Maybe that's why Avalon ASICS are so expensive on eBay.

All ASIC's are expensive at the moment.

GPU miners switching from Bitcoin to Litecoin have already made the difficulty to soar from 18 in the beginning of March to 375 now. Litecoin CPU mining is nearly over.

I think this is why everyone is switching to LTC with their current mining rigs.

Should be interesting to see how the ASIC miners affect things in the upcoming weeks. Even if they DON'T ship it'll affect the market imho.

I personally wouldnt report them because :
1- people need to learn from their mistakes
2- as long as people buy fake ASICs they dont buy the real ones and dont increase the difficulty ...

Nobody deserves to get scammed, some people could be sending them everything they have in hopes of receiving a unit to earn their money back. Getting scammed is horrible, the loss of money and knowing someone took you for a ride.
