We are yet to find the source of origin of the virus and the speculation that the Chinese used this as some sort of bio weapon is bullshit theory, if you are talking about the Wuhan lab then they are funded by the US government as well and they will not release the virus on purpose, either there is an accidental leak and that is the theory that is supported by many scientist around the globe.

No one here is supporting conspiracy theories, but there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered even after one and half years. A recent study claimed that there are clear signs that the virus was genetically modified to make it more lethal and contagious and then reverse engineered to remove the traces of this modification. Also, no one has been able to explain why there has been zero deaths from COVID 19 in China for the last few months, despite all the other countries in the world reporting deaths from the virus on a daily basis. Whether it was a deliberate attack from China or not, it can't be denied that they benefitted enormously from the economic meltdown caused by this pandemic.

I absolutely agree with all of them. The world is no longer the old world. Life and habits are changing. I have slightly different views on the Chinese economy. I believe that they deliberately released the virus while the whole world was sinking and used it for their own benefit.

I also found several countries making vaccines as a business field for big entrepreneurs in those countries. It's very unreasonable to see people die just like that by human actions.

this is the very sad, shameful and regrettable part... vaccines are only in Europe and America, the African continent is practically forgotten and knowing that the African continent is where there are shitty and corrupt presidents who don't even think about the good of the people so i predict that africa will finish vaccinations after 2026 or 2030 and that's if some fucking african leader has brains and feelings. African leaders are easily sold by Europeans and Americans and this covid came to show how Africa needs to change and stop being dependent

I feel sad about everything that happened till now but we are not people who can be listened to in what we say. everything has been arranged by a government that will generate huge profits from the vaccines sold. There's nothing to do if you don't have much money or become a millionaire.
There are lots of gossips and rumors that those vaccines are made to be a business and i dont know if its true or not but as if we do have some choice left?

We do need vaccine even though its not an assurance for us to be completely safe from the virus. When it comes to economy then its cant be denied that we are really been affected much and its almost 2 years where this pandemic happens.

Good thing now that we are slowly rising up where businesses are gradually opening their doors despite of the risk of infection because if we dont
move out then sustaining ourselves on living would really be hard.

This is a very difficult question, because Europe and America have not yet completely dealt with the pandemic themselves. The situation is even worse in some regions and countries of Asia, so it is stupid to talk about the African continent on which the world will throw all its forces, forgetting about the pandemic that continues to rage on their territory. Therefore, the fight against coronavirus is still being carried out by the forces of specific states, and not by some individual continents. Corruption is a disgusting thing, but it is inherent in different forms in different countries, so do not think that it plays a major role in the spread of the coronavirus.

It's hard to do it but it's possible with a good leader. Right now, they have their country but they are controlled by big countries, that's how greedy people play, they take advantage of the poor to make themselves rich while making the poor poorer. Poorest countries will always be the less priority especially if big countries can't benefit something from that certain country.

I agree that covid is likely to stay with us for the next few years, but the impact covid has on our life will change. The number of vaccinated people is rising each week, it is just a matter of time until we reach 60 or 80% of the population with the vaccine. At the moment we are seeing that economic growth forecasts for next year are very positive, which results in rising stock markets. In my opinion we have the worst of covid behind us and should focus now on rebuilding our countries. The economy took a big hit, but once everything goes back to normal we can expect a strong economy again. It is all about remaining optimistic.

We might never eradicate COVID-19 from the face of this Earth. People just have to learn to live with the virus and keep moving forward. The economy will most likely recover after people embrace the "new normal". But it'll take some time before major economies go back to the way they were. While the US Dollar has seen its decline since the start of the pandemic, things are starting to get better. The US Dollar is still the reserve currency of the world, even with the negative impacts of COVID-19. I don't think it's going anywhere soon, since it's a force to reckon with.

I'm surprised to see how China's economy hasn't "moved an inch" with COVID-19 in play. China's central bank already announced the launch of its own digital currency (the digital renminbi or digital yuan). It seems that the "new normal" will consist of digital currencies and teleworking. After the pandemic ends, things will never be same as they were before 2020. At least, people are getting vaccinated. This tell us that while COVID-19 will not disappear in its entirety, it will be reduced to a minimum until everyone can carry on with their lives as usual in a totally different way. It's really better if we take the positive side apart from the negative side which really harms everything,
but with covid 19, I think technology is increasingly being developed and used, this is one of the positive sides,
the more people come here, the cryptocurrency is already known to many people, of course this is a good development for the cryptocurrency itself

clear, we paid for all this with so many victims and this is very sad

but on the other hand we have made monstrous strides
- vaccines created in record time
- super technological vaccines rna
- smart working
- cryptocurrencies

I'm a little confused by the vaccine being made so quickly until now, Whether the vaccine will save us from the virus that is happening. I also found several countries making vaccines as a business field for big entrepreneurs in those countries. It's very unreasonable to see people die just like that by human actions.

All these are valid points. The situation could have been much worse (similar to the 1918-20 Spanish flu pandemic, which killed tens of millions of people). I am not discounting the deaths from COVID so far (which as per official numbers are close to 4 million). But without the vaccine and advanced medical treatment, it could have been easily 40 million. On top of that, there have been several positives. People like me are working from home, and thereby saving a lot of expenses on commute and transit. Then there has been a rapid growth in the digital payments market.

As we saw from the March, again the COVID-19 pandemic continues to overshadow all over the world. It has seriously effected to day by day work. So many peoples trying to earn some money from home. So many digital platform are more popular among the peoples. They trying to work with digital currencies. I think many we can see many developments and projects those related to the crypto currencies after covid-19.
Every year the project is growing and there are many enthusiasts after people are now at home due to covid-19 which has limited our travels, but we can't imagine because the crypto space has increased to society at large and this has resulted in many large institutional companies being involved as shields. the biggest investor, but in digital work there are many not only cryptocurrencies that I know, it's just that those of us who are often involved in the crypto world will know what percentage of the growing community that goes into this, this is a good thing for those who are strong fans of crypto is the best way to earn an income at home.

Undoubtedly now with the covid-19 many ways of alternative economies have been developed, digital jobs, crypto projects are great options as an alternative, many take advantage of confinement to invest in these projects, others for trading.

In the case of the conglomerate in general, in the case of Colombia many events have occurred, initially they were unemployed, now the government is about to activate the economic system and the cases of Covid-19 have increased substantially and that they have not yet started at 100%, this type of event causes that in any country like that it is in the vaccination process to be activated again, in fact the ICU beds are once again about to reach the maximum.

Great care must be taken for economic activation, it can give peaks that can be irreversible, for now I think that the best thing is to have digital jobs and be up to date with crypto projects, or trade, investment in BTC.

2.5% of the population worldwide? that is exaggeration because there is not even 1.5% who dies by now and the virus is slowly getting rid already.

Perhaps this 1.5% figure is from infections with the original strain. A recent study from the city of Bangalore in India suggests a mortality of 7%. And it may be even higher, given that a number of people who recovers from the pandemic succumbs to various complications later. And more than 90% of the infections in this study were caused by the Delta strain. So I could see an increase in mortality by up to 5 times due to the mutated strain. And the bad news is that this strain (B.1.617.2) is resistant to some degree against the vaccines as well.

Norway's population is 5.328 million, and they have 783 deaths reported.
Finland's population is 5.518 million - 956 deaths.
Sweden with population 10.23 million has 14,413 deaths.

From the data above it's clear that the Swedish model has totally failed. But it's not much of a wonder. When you think you are smarter than the whole world you fail in the end more often than not. It's not people of Sweden to blame, though. I'm sure they would follow the authorities' orders and instructions. It's Sweden's authorities who acted highly irresponsibly.

Herd immunity is simply not the solution. In order to achieve herd immunity without vaccination, you need to sacrifice 3% to 4% of your population (that number may be higher with the new strains). But let's not forget that within Sweden, several of the scientists were vocal in their opposition to the government's policy (including well known researchers such as  Stefan Hanson). Unfortunately, the individual who was the mastermind behind this policy (Anders Tegnell) still has his job as the state epidemiologist. In any other country, this guy would have been fired and in all probability will be facing prosecution for 12,000 additional deaths.

Honestly, I don't think such people should be prosecuted. Yes, he should be fired, or resign voluntarily, because he obviously failed as a state epidemiologist, but if you start prosecuting such people, no one is going to want to take that position. After all, the damage wasn't intentional. He was wrong, but he surely wanted the best for his country.

How do you think the economy will be after COVID-19's demise? Will it gradually recover? Or will it stay the same? Will central banks collapse to a point where only people transact with decentralized cryptocurrencies in the free world? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

Because the economy is currently in a slump, it will definitely take time to recover gradually, but now even though a vaccine has been found but Covid-19 has not disappeared, people are tired of doing lockdown at home, we all hope that this pandemic will pass soon so that people can carry out activities as before
