the logo on the box was photo-shopped taking total credibility away from this.

do NOT worry, I am sure when BFL is ready to release photo's of their ASIC line of products it will not be found by some scrupulous google'r in a secret place

I am sure they will announce it in grandiose fashion for the world to see.

1. It's a rendering. Why would you "Photoshop" a rendering. I would hope their engineers are smart enough to add a logo rastered on the top of the case in their CAD program (looks like Solidworks?).

2. That photo was placed on their Facebook page (which I can only assume is for PR purposes). So it was a [semi]official release from BFL.

It's a touch over 92mm^2, you should be able to figure out the other dimension from that. Smiley
That doesn't sound like it's even an inch high!
When was the last time you saw a coffee warmer an inch high?

It's a Jalapeno, not the single.  The cases are going through the manufacturing process right now; we actually had to do a redesign because we wanted to make the Jalapeno and Single cases modular (this will make more sense when you see them).

Deafboy:  That is one of the patterns I have been advocating, and brushed nickle and polished copper.

gunmetal black, not plastic... just add texture like this...

...and it's exactly how I imagined it first time reading about it.

It's on their Facebook page, a place I would imagine wouldn't be considered to be secluded.

Huh... that is one of our design renderings from the case manufacturer, though I hadn't seen an all black one yet.  I was initially against all black, but we had a discussion today about the iPhone's gunmetal black (iPhone 5) so I think someone was getting a bit antsy.

That's actually intended to be all metal BTW, not plastic.
Well Glad to see that this is actually something produced by BFL, not not just a fan. Is this rendering for the Jalapeno, or the Single? I also take it that the actual cases have not been manufactured yet?

Fake?
How can you fake a render? Cheesy
Well Obv it's not a real pic. But if the FB page isn't actually by BFL, and it's an unofficial rendering.
