I like the concept of joining eSports with education and I know gaming is huge in Singapore. Have you gone through the Alpha release yet?

The traditional methods of education in a classroom setup and with conventional tools is outdated and the younger generation is more geared towards online gaming and social media these days.

Good luck with this project, I think your target market for this is perfectly chosen.  Cool

Hi! somehow didn't get a notification sorry! Yes we did the alpha and we got some schools signed up.

We're now prepping for beta here at beta.soqqle.com

Also coincidentally, we're allowing the platform to be used by communities to create challenges. One of which, the use case for challenges are for bounty management! Right now am planning the feature to integrate with facebook page likes.

One challenge there however is bad actors where folks unlike a page and come here to like. Can't think of a good way to handle that.

We recently went deep in the education gaming world. In this topic we are hitting on game-based learning.

The key problem we expanded howver is: Its hard for teachers to incorporate or join an eco-system of games.
Here's a cool article imo: http://blog.soqqle.com/educational-game-education-21st-century/

If you are a teacher and use games in the classroom - do step up to share what you use and what you think is bad!

Hi we recently deep-dived into the markets and on our 4th product iteration think we found the right fit.

We document it here. https://medium.com/soqqle/soqqle-a-new-cool-story-666e75ee1182
It's about helping people find affinity and belonging.

Let us know what you think?

We have a new screen for the tasks that can be done on our platform!

Illuminate is a single player task which yields you 1 token (max once a day).
Deep Dive is a 2 player task which yields 10 tokens (max once a week) which you have to do with a friend.

Once the task is completed, an animated spinner is used (per the above screenshot)
Decode (MCQ and True/False Answers) and Brainstorm are higher level tasks.

Let us know if you have feedback on UX!

Thanks. The token is only awarded after the completion of a task (the simplest one is illuminate which is single player).

You have to initiate it from the "progression" tab. We are fixing the GUI to make it more intuitive.

Yes I able to create a character but to put it bluntly I didn't see a token as I get it done. And is it natural that if there's no notification the notification tab wouldn't shows up too?

Thank you! We'd get that fixed.

Also you are able to "create your character', play around with the few progressions, and then try an illuminate (a single player task) which can net you 1 token. It should work, whilst we are still fixing some GUI upgrades.

Still pretty raw as we are in Alpha but the ability to earn a token is there. (we may or may not keep the tokens during go live, depends on the type of bugs found)

Mistakes I found on your site:

Quote
GOAL:
Don’t go into battle alone! Bring friends to master your journeys togethe

CHARACTERS:
Kaye:  STEAING YOUR INTERNETZ

That's all but so far I love the concept, it'll revolutionized the way education and gaming tends to be.

Hi, we're looking for

1) professors, lecturers or people in education space to share some feedback on existing platforms (eg blackboard). We have some use cases on making learning more engaging as opposed to how the current platforms are like (outdated).

2) Also, if you have opinions and feedback on these platforms like Blackboard as a user, pls share!

Will love to see to invite to our alpha / beta.

"[10 Mar 2017, Singapore] Soqqle (the Future of Work Company) has won a government sponsored grant to pilot a platform that gamifies learning to make it purposeful. The technology aims to help people identify their passion faster and smarter, with a goal that spirals youths into the upcoming industrial 4.0 revolution.

It took months to pitch and obtain the grant. Daniel had to pitch multiple panels made up of directors in education institutions. As Blockchain is a new concept in most industries, additional focus was needed to articulate usage of the technology to increase engagement with youths."

Correct. If there is no incentive or carrot for them to do this, they will lose interest and move on to the next NEW thing.
Kids wants to be constantly stimulated and they tend to lose interest, once it becomes boring. If you reward them with
something they like, they would do this till they drop. Just remember to implement a "cut off" switch, where their screen
time is limited. {They are kids after all and should be doing things out door too.}  Cheesy

So the way it works for our game is, instead of killing monsters (like traditional games) - they have to do tasks. Some of which are with friends (get out of the door!). Am betting on that as an incentive too. We are releasing this soon these few weeks, will welcome you guys to check it out Smiley

Well the quick solution is to have this on Android mobile phones, because this will give them the freedom to move around

and not to be stuck in front of a computer. The social element will be a great addition, because these kinds of games are

doing very well. {Thinking of games like Clash of Clans style games or Pokémon GO}  Wink

If you can combine fun with educational programs, then you will have a winning combination. A few years ago I introduced

Bitcoin to my Niece and Nephew, but I used a popular faucet and a game where they could earn bitcoin, whilst playing a

game. They spend weeks playing around with this and when I spoke to them again, they were showing me all their money

{a whole $100 worth} and all the other things they have learned about Bitcoin. {stuff I did not show them}  Tongue

Wow! They must be happy that they were learning it few years ago Tongue

The first step is fun with education. 2nd step is to incentivize with tokens, 3rd step is to exchange it for fancy items. People could also purchase tokens for special in-game bonuses, or obtain mentorships. That's the overarching idea. If anyone has other ideas on what else could be purchased for - pls pm me. I would like to invite all hardcore gamers (world of warcraft!) to help us with the brainstorm. haha.
