Of course because sleep would help your brain to have rest that's why 8hours of sleep is a must. There's a lot of factors that could affect your brain due to lack of sleep it can even causes you to have insomnia as your brain get to used to it. We should have a plenty of sleep depends on our age if your a kid it would be better to have a lot of sleep for a proper growth.

Does lack of sleep make people confused and forgetful?

Since basically recommends 8 hours per day, and during the day you're expected to keep the body and brain active. Exercise your body in the morning by 6:30am  -8 o'clock and evening by 4pm - 6pm. Now you're also expected to sleep during the day towards noon time the your brain cells in functioning proper at least 2hours or more then at 4hours or more. With this you're sure being sound in thinking but confusion or short memories can only be as the result of lack of sleep. It can psychological state or passive events.

It is very important to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night to avoid being tired and fatigued. When we are earlier we tend not to care about how important it is to make sure we get our 8 hours of rest. I believe it is due to the fact that when we are young we have more energy and can take a 2 to 4-hour nap and feel fully recharged.

But as we get older, we begin to take into consideration how we manage our time. At this point how we divide our time between work, family, friends, and social gatherings is crucial. If we are not responsible and careful on how to manage our time we will lose time on valuable sleep time that will help us get through the following day.

Lack of sleep does have a bad effect. Sleep is something that is very important in life, if we lack sleep it will have a bad impact on us. That is : 1. Hard to concentrate 2. Easy to forget 3. Weight gain 4. Easy to get sick 5. Easy stress
