Use coinomi mobile wallet

What for? Do you mean that the Electrum seed is compatible with it and that I could recover my BCH with it?

If you need to recover from seed, follow this tutorial:

I have read many flags about electrum cash, would avoid to use it if possible

I had kept a copy of the wallet file and opening it with ElectronCash worked.

I gave a send order and it says it needs 20 confirmations. I've been waiting for sometime now with no confirmations. See how it goes.

I've installed it on Android and... it doesn't work there either! Grin

I've entered the seed and then: "Unfortunately, Electron-Cash has stopped."

You don't say...

That makes three different devices with three different o.s. where the ElectronCash doesn't work.

Not even on a freshly installed o.s.

what other options are there? I think I'll try installing it on an Android.

No instalation needed.

It will run directly from .exe file. Creating only folder in App (with your encrypted wallet).

I never had problem with Electrum/Electron. Both running Ok everytime.

I'm sure it works ok with lots of other people.

Like I said, I tried deleting the App folder but it didn't help. Now I'm restoring my whole computer from an image (yeah... that convenient) so that I might see it running at least once on a fresh system.

I've always had problems with Electrum and I mean on different pcs with different op. systems (Win 7 and Win 10). See here for example.

It's the worst thing to keep money in a wallet that is proving unstable. At least on my computers.

Now I got instructions as to how to recover BCH using ElectronCash.

It has the same behavior as Electrum. It won't open. To be fair, for a moment I even got to get into a wallet but it didn't last long. After I closed it it never opened again.

I tried deleting the ..\AppData\Roaming\ElectronCash folder, installing/reinstalling etc but nothing much happens.

Also, after "installation" I don't see no icon and I cannot locate the installation folder (if it is indeed installed anywhere).

There's nothing worse to have money in a wallet and be the prisoner of the damn wallet itself.

My experience with Electrum and ElectronCash, up to now, is terrible. I wouldn't recommend neither of the two to anyone. There's a chance they will work and there's a chance you'll find yourself sweating in anxiety.

I've ordered a hardware wallet and I hope this is going to save me from the Electrum uncertainty.

Anyway, a couple of questions:
  • what the f**k is going on with this damn thing?
  • where is it (ElectronCash) installed?
  • can I use the Electrum seed with some other wallet to recover my BCH? (I've already managed to sent the BTC to Poloniex)
thansks
