I've always had problems with Electrum and I mean on different pcs with different op. systems (Win 7 and Win 10).
See here for example.
It's the worst thing to keep money in a wallet that is proving unstable. At least on my computers.
Now I got instructions as to how to recover BCH using ElectronCash.
It has the same behavior as Electrum. It won't open. To be fair, for a moment I even got to get into a wallet but it didn't last long. After I closed it it never opened again.
I tried deleting the ..\AppData\Roaming\ElectronCash folder, installing/reinstalling etc but nothing much happens.
Also, after "installation" I don't see no icon and I cannot locate the installation folder (if it is indeed installed anywhere).
There's nothing worse to have money in a wallet and be the prisoner of the damn wallet itself.
My experience with Electrum and ElectronCash, up to now, is terrible. I wouldn't recommend neither of the two to anyone. There's a chance they will work and there's a chance you'll find yourself sweating in anxiety.
I've ordered a hardware wallet and I hope this is going to save me from the Electrum uncertainty.
Anyway, a couple of questions:
- what the f**k is going on with this damn thing?
- where is it (ElectronCash) installed?
- can I use the Electrum seed with some other wallet to recover my BCH? (I've already managed to sent the BTC to Poloniex)
