Before you go any further just know I feel your pain.  I use Linux too and it took me awhile to get it going.  Persist because it will be worth it.

We have a huge Trezor thread I am linking below.  Thousand(s) of posts.

Next is a thread I started and saw through to completion using Linux +Electrum+ Trezor.

There are several similar threads in this forum, but these should get you headed in the right direction.

I have just set up a new Trezor - updated to latest firmware and am able to login just fine with mytrezor.com using Chrome and Chromium browsers

Electrum 2.7.12 has been installed on Ubuntu 16.04 without any known errors.

Electrum 2.7.12 has been installed on Windows 7 and works fine with the Trezor.

When running Electrum for the first time on Ubuntu, I selected to create a Standard Wallet, then Use a Hardware Device - problem is, Electrum doesn't "see" the Trezor.  I cannot get past the Electrum - Install Wizard Hardware Keystore step and have no clue as to where to start to find a solution.  Please help.
