This coin continues to be popular. A listing on cryptsy would be nice. Its a lot better than some of the coins listed so far IMO and there would be a lot more volume traded than Ive seen for some other listings.

Not sure what you mean, if the pool found the superblock, then it should be distributed evenly to everyone who contributed. If you found it solo, then it is all yours.

hello elp-miners  Smiley

i like these elephants toooo,..!
an now i have a question, that maybe could be a "stupid-one" in your eyes, but i like to understand this...

so, in the elp-blocks there are blocks, called superblocks with big "ammount" inside... and now my question would be, when i found a superblock in the miningpool (elp.botpool...) , will i get the founded coins inside as full ammount, or will this block shared between all miners in this pool??

reason for this question is, that i found a block with 4,787,00 coins on 9th.08.(nr.107018..shown time was 17:47:06) but i didn´t get a paiment about this size...

for any explanation a would be very thankfull!!

(sorry for bad english, but that´s not my "mother-language"

thx a lot and happy mining

This is a great coin, I like it. It is trading at coins-e.com, the price is pretty low at this time, thanks to the "premine" talks here.

FYI, I have been buying at coins-e and I have put a bunch of orders there, if you don't want your ELPs, you know what to do, my orders are there in coins-e.com, thanks!  Wink

flyingcat, thanks for your support. Now it is the good time to mine this coin while not many people are mining. I saw this happened to Fastcoin, Alphacoin, and many others, sometimes I saw hashrate < 1K in cgminer, guess what? I am very happy now that I mined Fastcoin, Alphacoin, Florincoin, Hypercoin, Emerald, etc while very few people were mining.

This is a great one, very stable and consistent, and dev team is committed to full support and enhancements.

stop your stupid project, it's completely useless.
I agree, even it can predict, so what, you still not guaranteed to get that block. It's a natural competition process.

Waste time for nothing.

so called predict is nothing, everything is in the code, just copy these functions out and you can predict, unless you are sure be able to grab the block, otherwise as the above said it's a complete waste of time.

Thanks.   The first version of the Get Next Block Reward for ELP is now in the github repo.   So far it predicts normal blocks and 100-500 blocks OK.   But still need more golden elephant blocks for testing.  Wink

This far not seen any but if you want you can look at the blockexplorer

As far as i know on the blocks i did not see any at all over 1000

But then again i did not check more then the blocks i actually mined on that pool
In my history i have had several blocks which are over 50+ even kinda recently 220

Hi elephantcoin fans.

I'm testing a script that predicts the Next Block Reward for elephantcoin.

It's working OK I think, but I need some superblocks to test it on.

For example I know Block 85929 was a "100+" superblock with 327 ELP, and Block 85915 with 413 ELP.

Does anyone know blocks numbers for any 1000+ and 10,000+ superblocks?

Thanks!

OK le's not stuck there and let's move on, I have been having fun to mine this one, and I am sure many others too. I will continue mine it, no issues for me, as far as others concern, it's your decision and make the decision that fits the best of your own strategy.

The Murraycoin Project ▪ Lead Developer
I came here to inform the ELP crowd of my conversations with exchange owners and major devs, but apparently they don't care about exchanges or reach. They jumped all over me in multiple threads and repeated over and over, "don't mine ELP!"

If you are looking to keep your sanity, I wouldn't ask too many questions in this thread (logic is the enemy in here.)

So who you believe is the dev here asked you not to mine? We welcome anyone to mine this coin. We are  the same great community, and please no more arguments, all our intentions are for the success of ELP.

The "they" I was referring to in my post was "the ELP crowd" -- the exchange owners and major devs are the people I spoke with who told me that due to the premine, they had no interest in Elephantcoin. I came back here (disappointed) to report my findings as I'd been mining ELP pretty consistently up until that point and just realized it may have all been for nothing!

For literally stating what I was told by the owners of the major exchanges and a couple of the devs I was hoping to recruit for a major ELP project, the ELP fans in this thread flipped out on me. All I did was repeat what I heard directly from the source. It was very odd...and they simply could not be reasoned with.

Unfortunate...but that's all I'm saying. I offered suggestions to the dev to help give ELP value (in turn, making their holdings more valuable even if they had less.) At this pace, the premine will defeat the purpose of the premine (for the dev to make a profit) because that very premine is what is destroying the value of ELP (hurting the dev and everybody that's been mining.)

Now I'm not saying it's the worst coin or the worst premine etc/etc -- people put these words into my mouth. I mined this coin...and was disappointed that the people with the power to give this coin value are excluding it due to the premine. That's a fact...whether I agree with the fairness of it or not (which, to be honest, I don't.)

I did have fun mining this coin (awesome for solo-mining) but at the end of the day I can't justify continuing to mine something that could end up worthless. The hardware costs and power costs required to mine are real and there is plenty of profit to be made out there on coins that are quickly adopted by the major exchanges and have zero premine.

I don't make the rules...but the people in this thread shot the messenger. It was extra alarming when I read those responses and realized the only people left mining ELP are apparently legally insane! If Elephantcoin turns around, I'll be right back mining it. Can't take a chance at this point though as I've heard nothing promising.
